Chapter 132: Ange 2
Ange, shackled to a table, lay sprawled across its surface, immobilized, trembling like a startled bird. Her voice quivered with fear as she pleaded,
"What… what are you going to do? Let me go! Please, let me go!"
Jill ignored her cries, ripping away the last of Ange's clothing, sending her into a deeper spiral of panic.
"No! I am Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi, First Princess of the Misurugi Empire!"
Jill's expression darkened as she loomed over Ange. "No. From now on, you're… Ange!"
With her mechanical right arm, Jill conducted a harsh inspection, probing Ange in a cold, clinical manner reminiscent of a prison guard.
When it was over, Ange collapsed to the floor, eyes wide and unblinking, tears streaming down her face. A princess, she had never endured such humiliation. She felt utterly defiled.
Over the next few days, Jill brought Ange to the training classes at Arzenal base, where she was forced to study alongside Norma girls under ten years old.
Jill subjected her to relentless conditioning, pushing her to assimilate into Arzenal and become a soldier in the war against the Dragon Clan.
After days of training, Ange's initial defiance softened, but she remained resistant, refusing to fully cooperate with Jill.
She clung to the hope that the Misurugi Empire would send someone to rescue her, believing her release was imminent and refusing to accept her new reality.
But Jill, growing impatient, was determined to see Ange fulfill her unfinished mission—to liberate the Norma girls. She turned to Emma and declared, "Inspector Emma, Ange's training is complete. Effective immediately, she joins the First Squadron."
Emma's eyes widened. "What? The First Squadron?"
Jill didn't give her a chance to protest, pulling Ange along as she said, "Zola's been informed. Let's move."
Unbeknownst to them, Tolle was in his hangar, one hand holding binoculars, the other wrapped around Hilda, watching the scene unfold.
Mimicking Zola's tone, he addressed the First Squadron members with a smirk. "So that's the rumored princess, huh? That pristine, noble body—bet it's sweet and tender."
Tolle gave Hilda a playful squeeze, prompting a shy whimper and a jealous mutter. "She's just a newcomer. Who cares who she is?"
Rosalie and Chris nodded vigorously in agreement.
Tolle, grinning, kissed Hilda's lips softly. "Jealous, huh? You're all too cute. Don't worry, you'll always come first in my heart."
Ersha stifled a giggle, while Vivian and Mei watched with amused familiarity.
Salia, however, pointed sternly at Coco and Miranda, scolding Tolle. "Captain Zola, keep the touching in check! The recruits are saying you're squeezing too hard!"
Tolle released Hilda, spreading his hands and playfully clawing at the air. "Alright, alright, I'll behave, Vice-Captain~"
Salia crossed her arms and stepped back, feigning wariness.
Ersha, sensing the teasing, stepped in with a smile, taking the files and addressing Coco and Miranda. "She's an older recruit. Be kind to her, okay?"
Coco and Miranda nodded eagerly, promising to befriend her.
Tolle, with Hilda, Rosalie, and Chris in tow, prepared to meet the new recruit.
Vivian, with childlike bluntness, piped up, "Hey, Ersha, guess who'll die first!"
Salia, furious, grabbed Vivian, hooking an arm around her neck and grinding her fist into her head. "Our job is to train them so they don't die!"
"Ow, ow! I'm dying!" Vivian wailed.
Ersha, squinting with a warm smile, said, "So close as always. How nice."
Soon, Commander Jill arrived with Ange at the First Squadron's hangar.
Tolle, out of respect for Jill (and mindful of the debt he owed her), turned serious and shouted, "Salute the Commander!"
At his command, everyone raised their right hands in salute.
Jill introduced Ange as the newest member of the First Squadron. "Ange, she's your new teammate. Zola, she's your responsibility now."
Without a backward glance, Jill left, leaving Ange standing alone.
Tolle approached Ange, who was a head shorter than him, and leaned down, whispering gently in her ear, "Welcome to the First Squadron of Death. I'm Captain Zola."
He noted her haughty, dismissive expression. *She's got Zola's attitude—gonna need some work,* he thought.
He reached out, brushing her hip lightly, which sparked a reaction—bad memories resurfaced. Before she could resist, Tolle nudged her toward Salia, licking a finger that hadn't actually touched her. "Vice-Captain, introduce yourselves."
Salia, with a warm smile, said to Ange, "I'm Salia, Vice-Captain of the First Squadron. This is Vivian, our assault specialist, and Hilda. Rosalie and Chris are our light gunners…"
The squad greeted Ange warmly, but she remained aloof, sneering, "So, this is a bunch of Normas?"
Her words soured the mood. Clearly, Ange still needed a lot of training.
Hilda fired back first. "A bunch? Hmph, treating us Normas like objects!"
Rosalie and Chris joined in, muttering, "This stuck-up woman!"
Only Vivian, ever innocent, seemed open to the newcomer, chewing on a lollipop Tolle had given her. With a sweet tone and devastating bluntness, she said, "Yup, we're all Normas, just like Ange. Let's be friends!"
Ange, enraged by Vivian's words, snapped, "No! I am Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi, First Princess of the Misurugi Empire! I'm not a Norma!"
Vivian, unfazed, added, "But you can't use magic, right?"
