Chapter 23: SEED – Umbrella Break
The adjutant was stunned when he heard the words "Coordinator," and turned to look at Kira Yamato in disbelief.
Beside him, Sergeant Murdoch couldn't bear to watch anymore and covered his face.
Flay Allster's move of selling out her teammate was simply too vicious.
Major Biddulph stood up, adjusted his uniform and cap, and said,
"Heh, so you're a Coordinator."
Then Kira Yamato was escorted out by Major Biddulph and his soldiers.
Tolle Koenig angrily confronted Flay Allster.
"Flay, why did you have to say that?"
While tending to Sai Argyle's injuries, Flay said in a pitiful tone, "Well…"
Then her expression suddenly turned fierce. "But it's the truth."
Tolle couldn't stand her spoiled princess attitude anymore and raised his voice.
"Have you ever considered Kira's situation?"
Flay shot back, refusing to back down. "What's your problem? Kira's your friend, not mine.
And besides, this is an allied base. Why can't I say it?"
Tolle countered, "Do you even know who the Earth Alliance is fighting against?"
Flay's voice rose. "Of course I know—ZAFT. What's the problem?"
Tolle was about to call her an idiot, but before he could, the Archangel's mess hall began to shake.
The alarm sirens followed almost immediately.
He knew instantly—Blitz Gundam had arrived and was already attacking Artemis Base.
This was his chance. He couldn't waste any more time here.
Several Archangel crew members exchanged glances and walked over to the guards at the door.
"What's that alarm for?"
The two guards looked at each other and shook their heads—they didn't know either.
"Then go find out! No matter where it's coming from, this is clearly an attack."
With that, the Archangel soldiers rushed out. The two guards turned to stop them—
But Tolle struck both of them in the neck from behind, one hand for each, knocking them out cold.
Everyone stared at Tolle, unsure what to say.
He shrugged it off. "I know kung fu. Knocking someone out with a knife-hand strike is totally normal, right?"
The others could only agree awkwardly. "Uh… yeah. Totally normal."
Tolle gave them a disappointed look.
"Then what are you waiting for? Tie them up! Get back to your stations, now!"
The Archangel soldiers ran off to their posts.
Tolle turned to Miriallia Haw.
"Miriallia, I'm going to get Kira. You head to the bridge with the others. Be careful."
Miriallia looked at him with deep concern.
"Tolle, you be careful too. If things get bad, just run."
Tolle cupped her face in his hands, gave her a quick kiss, and said,
"Got it, Miriallia. I'll be careful."
Then he let her go, turned, and ran full speed toward the Archangel's hangar exit.
Inside, he couldn't help shouting in excitement in his mind—Moebius, Lightwave Barrier System! Here I come!
When he reached the hangar, he saw that the Strike Gundam was already gone—probably piloted by Kira to fight Blitz.
He found a secluded spot and had Nami conjure up a space suit for him.
Following her guidance, he reached a Moebius mobile armor.
The moment he approached, its cloaking dropped—it had already been assimilated and modified by Nami.
Or rather, it should now be called Moebius Kai.
This Moebius Kai was noticeably larger than the standard version, with many extra thruster nozzles.
Each side of the fuselage had a pair of mechanical arms; the linear gun under the belly had been upgraded to two, and it carried a large number of micro-missiles.

Tolle sat inside Moebius Kai, laughing as he read the specs.
"Nami, you're amazing! You even integrated the Lightwave Barrier System into this thing.
And it can be used for attacks too? That's incredible."
"Of course, Master. If you want something, I'll make it the best. Now, let's test its performance."
"Alright! Tolle Koenig, Moebius Kai—launch!"
He flew out in Moebius Kai and spotted Blitz Gundam locked in combat with Strike.
He fired continuous shots from the linear guns, then closed in quickly.
Opening his comm channel to Kira inside Strike, he said,
"Kira, I'm here to help! Let's fight together!"
Kira replied in alarm, "Tolle?! What are you doing in that MA? It's dangerous—go back!"
"Kira, I found this MA in Artemis Base. It's different from the others, probably a special unit. We'll talk later—let's just take down ZAFT's Gundam first!"
Kira sighed. "Fine. Just stay close to me."
"OK, no problem."
Tolle piloted Moebius Kai in sync with Strike to attack Blitz.
Strike swung its anti-ship sword repeatedly, forcing Blitz to dodge and pull back, occasionally firing its beam rifle.
Tolle circled behind Blitz, grabbing its limbs with the mechanical arms.
He then transformed the arms' Lightwave system into Lightwave Blades and slashed at Blitz's limbs.
Unfortunately, the arms were too small and the blades lacked the power to cut through.
Instead, Tolle used the neo DG cells to temporarily immobilize Blitz, then called out to Kira.
"Kira, cut off its right arm now! I've got it restrained—hurry!
Once it loses its weapon, we can capture it."
"Got it, Tolle. Hold on!"
Kira moved in and sliced off Blitz's right forearm, taking the anchor-shield system with it.
[Hahaha, sorry Gold Frame Astray—your reserved weapon is mine now. If you want it, you'll have to wait until Blitz gets it repaired and a duplicate made before it's your turn.]
