"10:00pm! oh no! I better leave quick", said rose as she wakes up from her nap.
She grabs her things and starts locking up her book store ready to leave.
She turns slowly "Hooooh" she breathes while her hot breath forms clouds, "its so cold tonight, how! It was a nice day today".
Street lights start to flicker…
"Thats the first, might have to get some lamp lighters to fix them" she continues walking then realised something…
"I never knew there were that much alleys down this street" she said.
"Maybe i should take a shortcut down one of them so i can get home faster".
Its a cold dark night so she wants to hurry quick. The way to her home is at the end of the street then you'd have to turn right to the next street.
"Yeah nah, its to dark to walk all the way down".
She stumbles upon a dark red Alleyway.
"Crimson Alley" she mouthed confused.
"Thud! thud! thud!".
"What was that" Rose said looking around scared.
"Hello…Anyone there?" Searching for whoevers heavy footsteps that was… but noone to be seen.
"Ah forget about it could of been a animal" As she shrugged it off.
"Thud! Thud! Thud!" They get louder and closer.
"That doesn't sound like a animal…".
Rose panicked, the only way to escaped was down that gloomy alley, so she turns down crimson alley and ran as fast as she could.
"i need to hurry i dont know what that noise was but it sounded like it was getting closer" As she was thinking to herself.
Her heart rate sped up as she's running… "swish" as fast as lightning a shadowy figure passes her.
"what the hell was that!" She paused for a moment… body shaking you could hear her bones cracking from the fear. Frozen still because if she runs towards the end of the alley she's worried she will bump into the shadowy figure she just saw.
But then again if she turnt around there could be someone still coming after her.
She trusted her gut to just run so she did.
"Fuck it! Im getting out of here".
She ran towards the exit and finally made it out of the Crimson Alley.
Rose turned around and saw a person all in black holding something then turnt back around and disappeared.
"Who The fuck was that" as she panicked in fear.
"Im sure he had a knife! im lucky i made it out of there or it would have been the death of me" She sighs taking a deep breath before continuing her walk home.
Rose is home now.
House warm, fire burning and parents worried sick about where she's been.
"Rose! Where the heck have you been!?" Her mother says.
"Yes Rose what is this time right now! We were worried sick you would have been kidnapped or worse…killed!" Her father says.
Rose looked at them and told them to calm down.
Rose mumbled " I'm fine don't worry not like yous really cared anyways".
Her parents looked at eachother and both said together " what did you just say!?".
"Nothing" rose replied.
The tv was on dad changed the channel to the news not knowing what was coming. "Young girl's body found beheaded thrown down an alley".
"What the fuck" rose said.
"I hope it wasn't "Crimson" Alley" Rose and the tv said at the same time.
"Oh my god" rose starts to tear up.
"I literally walked down that alley tonight and felt like something was off!"
"I literally seen a dark shadowy figure and a per"
"Thats enough Rose!" Mum said.
"But just listen please".
"No Rose! You wont be walking around at night again, you will close shop at 6pm the latest this is for your safety."
"Dad! I need the money for my college i have to have latenights sometimes, can you atleast just pick me up at 8".
"Did you not hear what was said on the news rose! Theres someone out there killing people you are to be home a 6pm, don't make me change it to 4pm!".
"But dad!"
"No buts Rose that final!"
"Yes dad".
The tv still playing in the background…
"Person seems to be 6ft wearing all black so please be aware if you ever come across them. We only have that many details on them, just be cautious everyone while the police are on the lookout".
Dad quickly switched the tv off while mom and Rose stared at eachother scared.
"Dont worry I won't let anyone hurt my girls" dad said as he grabbed them hugging them tight.
"Lets get some rest now im going to bed first" dad said.
"Im coming" mum says.
Mom and dad stand ups and kisses me on my head "mwahhhh", goodnight honey, please just know we love you".
"I love you to, mom and dad".
They head up the stairs to bed.
Rose sits infront of the fireplace opens her laptop and starts searching for the article about the girl who was murdered down Crimson Alley.
As rose was scrolling she found nothing more then what she heard on the tv so she thought "maybe i should look on tor browser".
This isn't the first time she's been on the darkside of the web before.
Her friends from school used to jump on the darkweb during lunchbreaks and watch crazy things. Like people committing suicide, redrooms anything bad you can imagine.
Her friends would laugh at these thinking it was a joke, but rose never thought for a second it was fake.
"Im in" rose said,
Scrolling through the web seeing if there were any recent post about crimson alley.
"Add pops up"
"Ahh fuck these adds annoy me, fuck off!" Rose says.
The laptop starts to glitch "Hi i see you trying to find out about the murder down crimson alley" written across her screen.
She panicks "what the fuck is this" she whispers because she doesn't want to wake her parents up.
The lap top glitches again…
"If you want to know who i am meet me at the whisperingwoods at 12:00pm tonight. If you tell anyone about this i can't help you with what you're searching for".
"Click yes or no you got 1 minute to decide".
Timer counts down on the screen.
Flicking her fingers looking around thinking someones watching her.
Timer hits 10second mark.
"9,8,7,6,5"
building up the courage to pick.
"4,3,2"
"Yes" she clicks quickly.
"See you soon" her laptop shutdown.
Rose sits quiety thinking.
"i must be going insane what if this is the person who was in the alley coming after me?".
Rose starts to question herself and and life all she can think about is getting murdered in the woods.
"Well its a perfect place to kill somebody why the hell did i pick yes!".
"I need a drink this is stressing me out " Rose ends up going to get a glass of water in the kitchen. She turns the tap on holding her glass in the other hand…
The kitchen window above the sink was left half way opened.
"Crunch crunch crunch" leaves crunching on the ground outside.
"What was that" rose stares out the kitchen window.
As she started talking to herself in her head " those was so loud".
"WHO'S OUT THERE!" She yelled.
"Swooshh" the trees blowing swaying side to side, the whistles in the wind start to get louder.
"What an odd night" she says.
Rose closes the window then proceeds to get her a water she turns the tap off but as she looks up to drink her glass of water…
A dark Silhoutte standing outside in the middle of her backyard.
"Tshhhh" rose dropped her glass of water.
She hurriedly pick all the broken glass up and threw it in the bin.
Up the stairs Rose ran and jumped straight into her bed.
"Fuck that im not going to the woods tonight ill just stay home".
Rose forced herself to go to sleep quick she was to scared to do anything. She shut her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
"Bzzzz Bzzzz"
Her phone went off.
Rose grabs her phone, one eye open as she checks her phone.
"You were suppose to meet me at The Whispering Wood because you didn't your gonna pay for this".
Rose panicked and text back " Who are you and what do you want!? Ill call the cops right now if you dont fucking leave me alone!".
The mysterious Person text her back "I know who you are and where you live, if you get the cops involved… I'll make sure your whole family and friends end up on the Tv like that other girl".
The mysterious person blocked her phone number while she was tryna screenshot everything for evidence.
Her phone was wiped clean leaving no trace from the hacker.
She had one more thing to check… her laptop.
She quickly ran downstairs to her laptop but it was gone.
"I know i left me laptop down here" searching around for it there was no trace of it.
I must be dreaming i got to be dreaming… its just a nightmare.
Rose ran upstairs to her parents room to tell them what had just happened.
Only to find…
Both her parents gone.
"What! MOM DAD WHERE ARE YOUS!?" She shouts.
No one but herself in the house.
Rose runs to her room grabs her phone then dials there number…
"Sorry this person is unavailable call back later".
"This has got to be a dream it feels so real" rose says.
"Wait…i know if this would be a dream, i can't eat or drink"
So she walked down to the kitchen the window was still shut from when she shut it.
She remembered she had a drink of water and smashed a cup.
"Thats right if there really is a smashed cup in the bin then this really could be reality and not a dream".
Rose walked over slowly she opened the rubbish lid…
"Its my cup i smashed…wait am i really awake this isn't a dream? Mom… Dad...
Rose starts crying.
"No please no! This can't be".
Remembering the mysterious person told her "your gonna pay for this".
Rose ran up stairs to her room, slammed the door and got under her blankets.
Huffing and puffing scared for her life.
"Shhhhhhh"
she pulled the blanket down off her.
"Whos there?"
Tears streaming down her face.
"You should have listened" as a dark silhouette walk out of the corner of her bedroom.
"Im sorry give me a chance please!" As rose cried.
"Please! Im sorry! I will listen! Im sorry!" As the silhouette is now standing at the end of her bed. She's freezes "it the Person in black" with her eyes wide open.
They pull out their knife then launches themself at rose to stab her.
"Nooooo please ill listen! HELPPPP!".
