The hands remained firm on the sword, from which a high heat emanated, even with a low flame.
Your fire, which one day shone like the sun, became the rebirth of all your pain.
Purple met red in a dance of feelings, a festival of laments.
In front of him was nothing but darkness, a reflection of the heart.
The space compressed with each breath; the act could make everything fall apart.
Beatriz maintained her upright posture, her sword was at her waist level, her legs wide apart, her shoulders raised, as imposing as never before.
The black threads hid the red eyes, while the shining claws were placed forward, his body remained elongated like a snake about to strike.
There was no sound that echoed through the air; there was neither tremor nor vibration. Everything in front of the homunculi was nothing more than the reflection of their minds, calm and sharp.
Beatriz jumped back, Killbit then followed her. The blade slashed from left to right, while the claws slashed from top to bottom. Then the ground launched itself toward them both.
A black cloud approached Beatriz, from which bluish rays were expelled from its interior along with the sound of a great tremor. Calmly, the homunculus performed thrusts and jumps. As her body turned, the flames spread within her like a glamorous crimson dress that disappeared at the same time as the cloud attacked.
Killbit launched his claws against the cloud, causing the rays to be sucked in. The black cloud launched itself away and deformed, making a long buzz.
"Now the fight will truly begin. We will put an end to the demon trapped in the Chalice of the Apocalypse, Beelzebub."
A long, extensive, and double pair of rounded wings formed, the rays moved from one tip to the other, creating a small pulse of the stormy sky there.
"What did Dante really want? Was his request the defeat of this creature? But what is a demon?"
A long black body connected to the wings, its limbs stretched out, its eyes blue, composed of various geometric shapes. In one hand, it carried a spear. On its head, a crown.
"Demons are those who betrayed their Creator, because of which they were cast into hell. They are the past of the beasts."
Its body was bent, its expressionless face took the shape of an insect with large fangs. The jewels present in the crown penetrated its carapace.
"Following these facts, Killbit, the Ascaris you defeated was only Dante's body, possessed by the demonic presence of hell, its essence."
The demon let out a loud roar. Its body was bathed in rays that connected to the spear. It threw it towards Beatriz.
"Let's act in a coordinated manner; trade our conversation for powerful attacks, in a balance that only the two of us can have."
Beatriz advanced, her body exuded an intense heat. With her feet turning from right to left, she stretched her body. With a small jump back, she hit the spear with everything, throwing it high.
"Speaking like that, it doesn't seem like you disappeared as you appeared. After defeating it, I want to know everything you didn't tell me about yourself, which for some reason only you hid from my help."
With the spear high, the ray connected to it broke into many pieces, creating a large web, causing the ground to begin to tremble, rising to meet the energy in the form of stakes.
With a movement of its hands, they were all thrown against their targets. To dodge, Beatriz placed her sword to the side above her head and began to take steps like a dance. The stakes came in her direction as if they were attracted. She took the blows without caring.
Seeing the situation, Killbit launched himself against the demon. It quickly flapped its wings away. A ray formed from its hand, which attracted the ground below it, making Killbit stay right below the demon. With a movement of its hands, Killbit was swallowed by the ground.
With a quick thought, Beatriz stuck her sword into the ground, her body exuding a huge amount of heat, enough to make the firm ground become like sand. With a leap, Killbit came out of the ground, his claws meeting the demon's wings, consuming all of them.
The demon then buzzed. The entire surroundings became alive like a cloud of locusts. The demon then moved its hands; its body was completely covered by the creatures, creating an exoskeleton.
Beatriz looked at Killbit; the two had already noticed the power of their opponent, magnetism. Knowing this, Beatriz jumped high, taking the demon's spear. The heat took it to the level of its color changing. After that, Killbit held it, and the black threads penetrated it.
They both looked at each other, throwing the spear towards the demon, which remained motionless, doing nothing. It knew that the attack would not penetrate its body, but soon a buzz occurred.
Beatriz covered the spear with an enormous amount of heat, enough to nullify the magnetization. The black threads prevented the flies from joining, trapping them.
The demon soon lost the flies that covered it, thus falling to the ground with its body impaled by its own weapon.
In the same way the demon was, Killbit resembled him. Beatriz's sword completely pierced the Homunculus's body, making him spit blood.
The entire black cloud condensed into a shape: a golden cup with red jewels. Its black liquid dripped onto the ground.
Looking around, Killbit saw Candela being held by translucent beings with large wings, just like those who attacked them in the tower.
Vasily had his body split in half; his mechanical parts were thrown on the ground, releasing a red liquid.
"Sorry, but to become stronger, I need to use everyone, no matter who they are."
Beatriz took the Chalice that was floating in the air and drank from it. Her body was covered in darkness, and the sword disappeared from Killbit's body.
"So defeating the angel of the Beast Colosseum wasn't enough to show my strength? I don't care; it was the sword that prevented me and August from reaching our objective."
Candela, in a fury, let out an echoing scream when she saw her brother fallen to the ground. Her hand was covered by her weapon summoning, but there the sword of fire formed, emanating such heat that it made the beings around her disappear.
Other forms tried to stop Candela, but none could get close to her.
"Incredible. So you are the black body, the result of an angel falling from grace like Satan himself, doesn't that make you inferior to me?"
Beatriz disappeared in the blink of an eye. The golden Chalice took the form of light that she threw at Candela, penetrating her body.
Candela fell to the ground unconscious; a pair of wings began to grow on her back.
"Candela... Vasily... Beatriz, what have you done!"
The hole in Killbit's chest was filled with a black liquid as his body was taken over by darkness. His eyes turned black, his claws black, but again the Homunculus fell.
He felt his neck being bitten and all the bad feelings present there being sucked out; his body regenerated completely.
"Who did this?"
In front of him appeared a long white serpent with blue eyes, its scales as bright as a diamond, on its head a crown made of its golden horns.
"Vergil..."
