The captain always said that when you're in the field you keep it simple or you die.

I learned that and kept it close to heart even after I ended my term of service.

I would be called up now then for actions requiring my skills and even then I kept it simple got in, got it done, got out. End of story.

What I didn't realize is that I had an affinity for mana that was slowly causing me to die, I only thought I was constantly hungry.

I passed away in my sleep and ended in another world.

That is where my story truly begins.
