Chapter 3 - Chapter 4: A Chance Encounter

Gertrude decided to venture out into the city, searching for street food and potential bargains. She walked through the bustling streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the pre-apocalyptic world. She stopped at a food stall, sampling some local delicacies and chatting with the vendor.

As she walked, Gertrude's eyes scanned the street vendors and shops, looking for anything that might interest her. She spotted a stall selling electronics and quickly made her way over. She browsed through the phones, laptops, and memory cards, looking for anything that might be useful.

*Shopping for Electronics*

Gertrude's eyes widened as she browsed through the selection. She found some great deals on laptops and phones, and she quickly snatched them up. She also bought a bunch of memory cards, planning to download survival videos, planting tutorials, and fighting techniques.

As she was about to leave, Gertrude stumbled upon a memory card filled with movies. She couldn't resist buying it, thinking that it might be a great way to pass the time during the apocalypse.

*A Chance Encounter*

Just as Gertrude was about to leave the stall, she heard a familiar voice behind her.

"Gertrude! Long time no see!"

Gertrude turned around, her eyes locking onto a face she hadn't seen in a long time. It was her friend, Rachel, who had betrayed her and ultimately led to her death in her past life.

Gertrude's expression turned cold, her eyes narrowing as she gazed at Rachel. She felt a surge of anger and resentment, memories of their past encounter flooding back.

*Confrontation*

"What are you doing here?" Gertrude asked, her voice icy.

Rachel seemed taken aback by Gertrude's tone, but she quickly regained her composure. "Just browsing around," she said, her voice casual. "You know, looking for some deals."

Gertrude raised an eyebrow. "You know what's coming, don't you?" she asked, her voice low.

Rachel's expression faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. "I have no idea what you're talking about," she said, her voice innocent.

Gertrude smiled, a cold smile. "Don't play dumb with me, Rachel," she said. "I know you know what's coming. And I know you're not prepared."

Rachel's eyes narrowed, her expression turning hostile. "What do you want, Gertrude?" she asked, her voice sharp.

Gertrude's smile grew wider. "Oh, I just wanted to say hello," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "And maybe give you some advice. You should prepare. You know, for the apocalypse."

Rachel's expression turned ugly, but Gertrude just laughed. "I'll see you around, Rachel," she said, turning to walk away.

As she walked away, Gertrude couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She had confronted her enemy, and she had come out on top. She knew that she would have to be careful, that Rachel might try to exact revenge. But for now, Gertrude felt a sense of triumph. She had faced her past, and she had emerged victorious.
