The fiends weren't the only danger of the Slime Nest.
A Pyro Slime bounced into view. It was similar to a green slime in shape and size, only its colour was different. Its body glowed like a torch.
Without warning, it hurled a fireball straight at Ray.
"What a warm welcome," Ray thought sarcastically as he opened his mouth and spat out a level 1 fireball of his own.
The two flames collided midair, cancelling each other out.
The Pyro Slime seemed to realize he wasn't an easy prey. It went all out. Several fireballs shot towards Ray with intense speed, leaving behind a fiery trail, as the Pyro Slime's magical power dropped to zero.
Ray unleashed an equal number of Azure Wind Blades.
The fireballs were sliced through, exploding far away from him, unable to do him any real harm. Right after, the Pyro Slime faced the same fate.
