At his command, both teams sprang into action. Zhu Ziyang and Dai Yueheng charged forward at the front, followed closely by Chen Zifeng and Tang Ya, with Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and Xiao Xiao forming the rear. They arranged themselves into a 2-2-3 formation.
On the opposing side, Ma Xiaotao led the charge, with Jiang Nannan, Beibei, and He Caitou behind her. Gongyang Mo, Ling Luocheng, and Xu Sanshi held the rear position.
Zhu Ziyang, wielding the Stillness Fate Ending Scythe, and Dai Yueheng, in his White Tiger avatar, directly clashed with Ma Xiaotao, who had spread her fiery wings. Her beautiful eyes emitted dazzling multicolored light, and behind her, Gongyang Mo had already released his martial soul. The Rainbow Dragon's six support-type soul skills were all activated at once on Ma Xiaotao.
Strength boost, speed boost, soul power boost, defense boost, attack boost, and elemental boost — six support halos surrounded her. His first, third, and fifth soul skills all activated at once, and a White Tiger Fierce Light Wave burst from his mouth to collide with Ma Xiaotao's Phoenix Fire Beam.
Flames and light waves clashed, holding each other off for a moment. But the fire quickly consumed the light, still raging toward Dai Yueheng. Yet before it could go further than a meter, the flames abruptly dissipated — Zhu Ziyang had already reached Ma Xiaotao's side, slashing down with the Stillness Fate Ending Scythe without hesitation.
Seeing this, Ma Xiaotao gave up on pursuing Dai Yueheng. She retracted her Phoenix Fire Beam, pushed off with her foot, and soared into the air, dodging the horizontal slash of the scythe.
Zhu Ziyang jumped up to follow, his scythe thrusting forward with a bright golden light toward Ma Xiaotao. She clenched her pink fists, condensing fire onto them, and struck toward the tip of the weapon. Her punch knocked the golden spear tip off course.
Unfazed, Zhu Ziyang kept his calm. He flipped the scythe-holding hand, pulling it backward — the blade flipped inward and swept back once again toward Ma Xiaotao.
She didn't hesitate. Ducking and retreating, she instantly widened the distance between them, then flapped her wings to rise higher into the sky. Her sixth soul skill activated in a flash — a torrential meteor shower of flames descended upon Zhu Ziyang like a blazing storm.
Facing the flaming meteor rain, Zhu Ziyang smiled faintly. His Stillness Fate Ending Scythe spun rapidly, forming an impenetrable barrier. The meteors exploded against it, but none could breach the defense or harm him. After fending off the firestorm, the spinning scythe didn't stop — Zhu Ziyang threw it forcefully downward, aiming straight at Jiang Nannan, Beibei, and He Caitou.
Ma Xiaotao's expression changed as she saw this. She turned to assist, but Dai Yueheng, who had been holding back, gave her no chance. His sixth soul ring flared, golden light burst from his entire body, and he flashed across the sky, forming a glowing character for "kill" that smashed toward her.
Sixth soul skill: White Tiger Annihilation Slash!
Ma Xiaotao had no choice but to take it head-on. She wasn't careless — her fifth soul skill activated instantly. A phoenix formed from blue flames let out a resounding cry as it soared forward with the majesty of a sky ruler, colliding with Dai Yueheng's attack.

Meanwhile, while Zhu Ziyang and Dai Yueheng were confronting Ma Xiaotao, the others hadn't been idle. Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong stood close together. Huo Yuhao's eyes glowed faintly, and he shared battlefield awareness with his team using his Spiritual Detection Sharing. However, his body suddenly radiated dark light. Wang Dong's expression changed instantly, but before he could react, Huo Yuhao vanished — replaced by Xu Sanshi, who appeared with a smug grin.
This sudden development stunned Chen Zifeng, but Tang Ya, Wang Dong, and Xiao Xiao reacted quickly. Tang Ya and Xiao Xiao immediately activated their soul skills to bind Xu Sanshi, while Wang Dong, furious, unleashed his second soul skill. His butterfly wings glowed brightly, and beams of light rained down furiously on Xu Sanshi.
Xu Sanshi raised his martial soul to defend, but Tang Ya's first soul skill had already bound his limbs. Xiao Xiao's Three Lives Soul Calming Cauldron rang with a powerful shockwave, delaying his reaction by a second. Just as he broke free of their control, Wang Dong's Radiant Butterfly Goddess had already reached him.
The outcome was clear. Xu Sanshi was pulled out of the arena by Elder Xuan, where he found a very aggrieved Huo Yuhao.
Half a minute earlier, Xu Sanshi had used his fourth soul skill, Black Tortoise Substitution, to switch places with Huo Yuhao. Yuhao had appeared in the enemy formation, immediately targeted by Beibei and He Caitou. Before he could even resist, Elder Xuan had to pull him out for his own safety — the first one eliminated.
He was frustrated, but it was understandable. Beibei, He Caitou, and Xu Sanshi all knew his abilities well — being targeted like this was inevitable.
With one member down on each side, it seemed Ma Xiaotao's team suffered a bigger loss by losing a Soul Ancestor. But in truth, Dai Yueheng's team took the heavier blow. Without Huo Yuhao's coordination, Zhu Ziyang and Dai Yueheng couldn't sync with the rest of the team, and Wang Dong's effectiveness plummeted. Without their fusion skill, he became just another Soul Elder.
The battle raged on. Relying on her incredible speed, Jiang Nannan successfully made her move, targeting Xiao Xiao. With her first soul skill activated, Chen Zifeng alone couldn't stop her. Tang Ya understood her intent, but even her dancing Blue-Gold Silver Grass couldn't catch up in time.
To protect herself, Xiao Xiao immediately switched to her second soul skill, Elegant Phoenix Zither. A yellow ring lit up, but her speed was nowhere near Jiang Nannan's. In the blink of an eye, Jiang Nannan was upon her, grabbing her collar and eliminating her.
Elsewhere, Beibei and He Caitou weren't slacking off. With support from Gongyang Mo and Ling Luocheng, one clashed head-on with Chen Zifeng while the other bombarded from the rear. Together, they gradually overwhelmed Chen Zifeng. A crystalline blue vine from Tang Ya's second soul skill wrapped around his waist in support.
Without Huo Yuhao's assistance, Wang Dong struggled. Fortunately, Tang Ya stepped in as a temporary controller, directing Wang Dong's attacks. She instructed him to focus on He Caitou, the soul tool user. Wang Dong also had a Blue-Gold Silver Grass wrapped around his waist, but it glowed with a different hue — a cyan light.
This was Tang Ya's fourth soul skill, Soul-Link Vine, which connected her to an ally and allowed shared soul power.
With Tang Ya's support, Wang Dong's strength temporarily rose to the peak of the Soul Elder level. His third soul ring lit up. Glowing wings behind him flared brightly, forming a massive guillotine blade that unleashed a powerful slash aimed straight at He Caitou.
Shouldering a grade-4 soul cannon, He Caitou didn't panic. He calmly loaded a soul bomb, infused soul power, and fired — the blast collided with Wang Dong's third soul skill.
The bomb was split in two by the Butterfly Goddess Slash. He Caitou finally looked flustered, quickly pulling out a soul shield to defend. He managed to block the blow, but the impact sent him sliding several dozen centimeters back.
Wang Dong, annoyed he hadn't finished it in one strike, prepared for another attack — only to realize his feet were suddenly frozen in place by a thin layer of ice. His expression darkened. Behind him, Tang Ya cried out,
"Ah! Nannan, don't you have any sisterly affection at all?"
While Tang Ya and Wang Dong attacked He Caitou, Jiang Nannan had remained active. After taking down Xiao Xiao, she naturally set her sights on Tang Ya. Her second soul skill activated, and with a flash, she appeared in front of Tang Ya. With a teasing glint in her eye, she grabbed her and lifted her into the air — sending her spinning like a flying disc.
Tang Ya was eliminated, and Wang Dong soon followed. He was blasted away by Ling Luocheng's third soul skill, Ice Shattering Ring, and Elder Xuan caught him gently and set him outside the arena.
At this point, only Zhu Ziyang, Dai Yueheng, and Chen Zifeng remained on their team. Chen Zifeng, on the verge of being eliminated by Jiang Nannan, Beibei, and He Caitou, was suddenly saved — by Zhu Ziyang's timely support.
His rapidly spinning Stillness Fate Ending Scythe transformed into a bright vortex of light, halting the trio's assault. Jiang Nannan relied on her speed to escape its pull. Beibei used the strength of his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon to resist. Only He Caitou was caught in the suction, dragged helplessly.
Elder Xuan acted in time to rescue He Caitou.
Now, it was Zhu Ziyang and Chen Zifeng versus Jiang Nannan, Beibei, Ling Luocheng, and Gongyang Mo. Dai Yueheng continued clashing with Ma Xiaotao and Gongyang Mo. The battle had reached its climax.
