"Ken, she asked me to take her away from you, but I didn't think that was right, so I brought her here to ask you first. Do you want to let her leave?" Goku said honestly.
The Grand Priestess's face turned black on the spot.
This idiot was unbelievable.
He had brought her straight back to Ken.
Ken said nothing. He only smiled at the Grand Priestess, amusement flickering in his eyes.
She shivered involuntarily, her expression turning uglier by the second.
This was bad.
She was definitely getting whipped again.
"So, you want to leave me?" Ken asked, narrowing his eyes.
"N-no… I just wanted him to take me out for a while so he could deepen his understanding of Kai Kai," the Grand Priestess said, the corners of her mouth twitching as her expression kept shifting.
"Grand Priestess, do you think you're the fool here, or do you think I am?" Ken laughed. "Do you really think that excuse sounds believable?"
The Grand Priestess said nothing. She bit her lip, shut her eyes, and let out a cold snort. "If you've got the nerve, then go ahead and hit me."
"I wasn't planning to, but since you're asking for it, I won't hold back," Ken said.
Crack!
The whip lashed across the Grand Priestess's body.
She yelped in pain.
At the same time, a deep sense of misery washed over her.
He said he had not been planning to hit her?
Did he seriously think she had asked for that?
"Ken, who was it you wanted me to find again?" Goku cut in.
"He's currently in Universe 3," Ken said, giving him the exact location.
The Grand Priestess glared at Goku with pure resentment blazing in her eyes.
That idiot looked simple-minded, but he clearly had his own ideas.
She had underestimated him.
Just wait.
Once she recovered her strength, she would deal with him and Ken together.
"Universe 3? I'll give it a try." Goku's expression grew focused. Following the method the Grand Priestess had taught him, he fixed his gaze on the far edge of the universe.
Beyond that distant boundary, he saw the World of Void.
"Is that the World of Void? I can see it!" Goku said excitedly.
"Look that way. Universe 3 is over there," Ken said, pointing in another direction.
Goku nodded and looked again, focusing even harder.
Ten seconds later, he nodded. "I see him. He looks a lot like Temat."
"Go. Bring him here, and don't waste time talking," Ken said.
Goku said no more. In a flicker, he vanished from the spot.
In an instant, Goku appeared on Rohl's planet.
Rohl was still there, performing stand-up for the locals with great enthusiasm. The audience around him was laughing nonstop and clapping loudly.
Whoosh!
The next moment, Goku appeared beside Rohl through Kai Kai.
He put a hand on Rohl's shoulder and immediately used Kai Kai again.
"Huh? Who are you?" Rohl froze, staring at Goku in surprise.
The audience around them was even more stunned, all of them gaping at Goku, who had appeared out of nowhere.
Goku did not waste a word. He took Rohl with him and vanished again with Kai Kai.
In less than three seconds, Goku had already brought Rohl back to Ken.
Rohl stared in disbelief and quickly looked around.
How had he gotten here in an instant?
Where even was this place?
Then he spotted Ken and blinked in surprise, staring at him without moving.
"You… are you my long-lost twin brother or something?" Rohl asked, stepping forward on his own.
"We'll talk about your identity in a minute," Ken said with a smile. He projected images of Paibu and Daru with his staff, then pointed Goku in their direction.
"You want me to bring both of them too, right?" Goku asked with a nod.
Whoosh!
The moment he said it, he vanished again with Kai Kai.
A little over ten seconds later, Goku returned with Daru and Paibu.
Their expressions looked about the same as Rohl's. All three stared at Ken, then at one another, their faces full of shock.
Ken told them everything about their identities from beginning to end.
Once he was done, Rohl and the other two fell silent.
Then all three turned furious eyes on the Grand Priestess.
So this woman was the one who had split them into all these different people?
The Grand Priestess remained calm, as though she felt no regret whatsoever for what she had done.
Goku just stood off to the side watching the show.
"So that's why I was born such a coward," Daru said through clenched teeth. "I'm the incarnation of fear."
"And I'm the incarnation of evil…" Paibu's eyes gleamed sharply. "Right now, I even want to destroy this whole planet with my own hands."
"So if we hand all our energy over to you, her plan falls apart on its own. That's what you mean, right?" Rohl asked.
"More or less," Ken replied with a slight nod.
The three looked at each other again.
After a brief silence, they all agreed.
Giving their energy to themselves was still far better than giving it to the Grand Priestess.
Then Rohl, Daru, and Paibu joined hands, forming a ring around Ken, and each focused on the word that belonged to him.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The next instant, different lights rose from each of them and flowed into Ken's body.
Rohl had trained Super Saiyan God, so red light shone from him.
Daru had trained Super Saiyan 4, so white light shone from him.
Paibu had trained destruction energy, so purple light shone from him.
The three colors turned into countless points of light and settled over Ken's body.
Ken could clearly feel his angelic power rising at high speed.
But just as the Grand Priestess had said, this time he only gained two levels.
After all, these three were weaker than Temat's group and had not yet reached their peak.
Ken had originally considered waiting until they hit their peak before taking their energy.
But after thinking it over, he knew there was no time for that.
Keeping them in this timeline any longer would only create a bigger impact on history.
It was better to send them back to their own timelines as soon as possible.
After giving their energy to Ken, all three of them looked noticeably weaker.
Ken healed them with angelic power afterward.
As long as they returned to their own timelines and trained properly, they would gradually recover some of their strength.
"Do we need Trunks's time machine to send them back to their own timelines?" Goku asked, scratching his head.
"No. There's a box of Time Rings in Universe 7's Supreme Kai Realm. Go get it. I'll leave it with you afterward," Ken said, projecting the location of the palace with his staff.
"He doesn't use it?" Goku asked.
"He doesn't know how," Ken said with a smile.
"All right, I'll go get it." Goku agreed immediately.
Whoosh!
In the blink of an eye, Goku vanished again and appeared at the palace in Universe 7's Supreme Kai Realm.
It did not take him long to find the ring box inside.
"This should be it, right?" Goku asked as he picked it up and opened it.
Inside the box were nine rings.
"So all of these are Time Rings?" Goku scratched his head. "Whatever, I'll just take the whole box back."
He closed the lid and was just about to leave when voices drifted in from outside.
"That damn Majin Buu! I will never forgive him!" Shin growled, his face full of anger.
"Supreme Kai, we need to take this slowly," Kibito said, trying to calm him down.
"But what can we even do? We're nowhere near strong enough to fight that monster," Shin said darkly.
"Supreme Kai, have you noticed something?" Kibito lowered his voice.
"What?" Shin blinked.
"That monster has been drowsy lately. He looks like he could fall asleep at any moment," Kibito said thoughtfully. "He hasn't slept in a very long time, has he? Or does he even need sleep?"
"Now that you mention it… you may be right. He really hasn't slept once this whole year," Shin said with a slight nod.
"We may have to wait until he falls asleep, then make our move," Kibito said, hope flickering in his eyes.
"Let's hope so," Shin said, straightening up a little. "We still don't know for sure whether he even sleeps."
"Only gods can go without sleeping for so long," Kibito said. "He's still a mortal in the end. Not sleeping forever would be strange."
The two of them walked into the palace.
"Oh, right, Supreme Kai, what are those rings in that box in the palace for?" Kibito asked curiously. "I opened it a few days ago and found a bunch of extra rings inside. I remember there used to be only one."
"I don't know. My master never got the chance to explain the rings to me before Majin Buu killed him," Shin said, shaking his head.
"How strange. Why would so many more suddenly appear?" Kibito muttered.
"Let's go take a look," Shin said.
The two of them headed toward the room where Goku was.
The moment Shin and Kibito stepped into the room—
Whoosh!
Goku vanished with the Time Ring box in an instant.
Shin and Kibito both stopped in the doorway and exchanged a look.
"Kibito, am I seeing things? I could've sworn someone just disappeared. It looked like Kai Kai," Shin said grimly.
"I felt the same… has someone infiltrated the Supreme Kai Realm?" Kibito asked, scanning the area warily.
Shin did the same.
But Goku had already vanished, so of course there was no trace of him.
"Forget it. We have bigger problems right now," Shin said with a shake of his head.
"But speaking of that, Supreme Kai, should we use Kai Kai and leave this place altogether? That would let us escape Majin Buu's grasp," Kibito suggested.
"If we do that, he'll destroy the entire Supreme Kai Realm without hesitation," Shin said, his face darkening. "And not just that. He'll start rampaging across the universe. As long as he stays here, at least he isn't massacring innocent life throughout the cosmos."
"You're right, Supreme Kai," Kibito said, nodding as he looked around again.
Thirty seconds later, Kibito suddenly came to himself. "Supreme Kai, the ring box is gone!"
Shin immediately looked toward the place where it had been kept and found that it really had vanished.
"Whoever just came here took it!" Kibito said heavily.
"Forget it. Right now, the important thing is dealing with Majin Buu," Shin said with a sigh.
"And we still have to prepare food for that fat monster… he really knows how to live," Kibito muttered unhappily.
The two of them prepared a meal in the kitchen, then left the palace.
A moment later, they arrived near Majin Buu with trays full of food.
But just as they got closer, they heard snoring.
When they looked carefully, they saw Majin Buu lying on the grass, fast asleep, with a huge snot bubble bobbing from his nose.
Shin and Kibito exchanged a look. Happiness had come so suddenly they could barely believe it.
He had actually fallen asleep?
So he really did sleep?
The two of them silently signaled each other, set the food down near Buu, and hurried far away from him.
"This is our best chance!" Kibito said at once. "We should lock him down right now."
"But how?" Shin asked, shaking his head.
"We seal him away. That's the only option," Kibito answered after thinking for a moment.
"Seal him? Aside from Babidi, I doubt the two of us have the power to seal him," Shin said, his expression growing heavier.
"Supreme Kai, don't we have that incredibly cold ice in the Supreme Kai Realm? Maybe that could seal him," Kibito said, clearly having thought this through already.
"Will it work? If it doesn't and he wakes up, we'll be in serious danger," Shin said through clenched teeth.
"Can we really afford to let this chance slip by, Supreme Kai?" Kibito asked seriously.
Shin thought it over for a long moment, then finally nodded, having made up his mind.
He quietly approached Majin Buu first, gave him a few light nudges, and whispered, "Hey, Buu. Time to eat."
Buu rolled over and kept sleeping.
"Buu, the food's ready. It's time to eat," Shin called again.
Smack!
Buu grabbed Shin by the head and casually flung him away.
Whoosh!
Shin's body traced a long arc through the air before crashing into the ground headfirst.
"Supreme Kai!" Kibito rushed over and pulled him out of the earth.
"Haa… haa…" Shin panted heavily, gritting his teeth. "Even asleep, this guy's a menace."
"Then he clearly isn't waking up anytime soon. This is the perfect chance, Supreme Kai," Kibito said excitedly.
Shin nodded hard.
The two exchanged a firm look.
The next moment, they used Kai Kai and appeared in the freezing northern region of the Supreme Kai Realm.
There, floating in front of them, was a two-meter-wide blue flame.
It gave off such horrifying cold that even the surrounding air seemed frozen solid.
Even a god like Shin shivered the moment he sensed that temperature.
"It's freezing… no wonder it's called the legendary Ice Flame," Kibito said in awe.
"Let's hope this thing can really seal Majin Buu," Shin said grimly.
"It definitely will, Supreme Kai." Kibito clenched his fists.
"We can only try." Shin nodded and, with a wave of his hand, pulled the blue Ice Flame toward himself from a distance.
"Achoo!"
Even though it was still a full meter away from him, Shin sneezed and started trembling violently.
It was simply too cold.
Kibito's face had already gone pale from the freezing air.
The two wasted no time. They immediately used Kai Kai and reappeared beside Majin Buu.
"Hah!"
Shin hurled the blue Ice Flame onto Majin Buu's body.
At once, the flame spread across him.
Flash!
In an instant, Majin Buu became a solid blue ice statue, frozen completely in place.
The blue Ice Flame itself then rapidly condensed into a translucent blue gem radiating bitter cold.
Buu's figure could still be seen faintly inside it.
"Supreme Kai, did we do it?" Kibito asked, happiness almost too sudden to process.
Shin nodded hard, tears already filling his eyes.
The two of them joined hands and started dancing and singing in front of the blue crystal.
The demon that had tormented them for years had finally been sealed.
Overcome with joy, they cried, then sat down and had a good meal right there in front of the statue.
After eating, they began discussing where to move the seal.
"We could just leave it here in the Supreme Kai Realm," Kibito suggested.
"That wouldn't be safe," Shin said, shaking his head. Then he explained, "We sealed him while he was asleep. He may not even know who did it. If we move him to another planet, then when he wakes up, we can just tell him that while he was sleeping, he somehow drifted into outer space and accidentally sealed himself."
Kibito's eyes lit up.
Supreme Kai really was brilliant.
No wonder he was the greatest god in the universe.
"How did I not think of that?" Kibito said excitedly, rubbing his hands together.
Shin smiled smugly.
If Kibito could come up with ideas like that, then he would have been the Supreme Kai.
"So where do we send him, Supreme Kai?" Kibito asked.
Shin thought carefully, then lowered his voice. "Back to Earth."
"Earth?" Kibito cried out, his face changing. "Isn't that a terrible idea? That's where Ken, Broly, and Merus keep going. They'll definitely find him there."
"There's a saying for this," Shin said with a quiet laugh. "The more dangerous the place, the safer it is."
Kibito nodded slowly, feeling that Shin's logic made perfect sense.
It really was true. The more dangerous the place, the safer it would be.
After all, no matter where they hid Buu, Ken and Merus might still find him if they searched seriously.
Putting him back on Earth might actually be the safest option.
"Supreme Kai, that's brilliant!" Kibito exclaimed. "I'll move him to Earth right now."
"Go ahead. Put him back where he originally was," Shin said. "We're used to watching that area anyway."
"You're absolutely right, Supreme Kai." Kibito nodded and placed a hand on Buu's seal.
"Wait—" Shin's expression changed slightly.
Crack!
The instant Kibito touched it, an icy chill raced through his whole body.
In a flash, he became an ice statue too.
Shin fell silent.
Was Kibito really that stupid?
Did he not know how cold that thing was?
This was the legendary Ice Flame.
And he had actually touched it with his bare hand.
"Hah!"
Shin waved his hand and blasted Kibito away from the seal.
Kibito crashed to the ground.
Shin stepped forward and used divine power to melt the Ice Flame coating him.
It took a full three minutes before Kibito finally returned to normal.
"Haa… haa…" Shin panted as well, having burned through a huge amount of divine power and feeling deeply weakened.
"Thank you, Supreme Kai… that was my mistake," Kibito said, hanging his head in shame.
"It's not your fault," Shin said with a sigh. "The Ice Flame is the coldest substance in the Supreme Kai Realm. You could even call it the coldest thing in the universe. Even we, as gods, can barely endure it."
"That's true." Kibito nodded repeatedly, then glanced at the Ice Flame around Buu and shivered again.
"Find a tree. Put it on top of the Ice Flame, then use Kai Kai to move Majin Buu to Earth. That should solve the problem," Shin suggested.
Five minutes later, Kibito successfully transferred Majin Buu to Earth in Universe 7.
He admired his handiwork for a moment, smiling with satisfaction.
Whoosh!
Then Kibito used Kai Kai to return to the Supreme Kai Realm.
The moment he reappeared before Shin, the two of them joined hands again and broke into joyful dancing and song.
The Majin Buu who had tormented them for so long had finally been sealed away once more.
…
Universe 6, Planet Sadala.
Goku soon returned to Ken with the ring box.
"This is it, right?" Goku asked, opening the box.
"That's right." Ken nodded.
"So this thing really lets you travel through time?" Goku asked excitedly.
"It does. As long as you wear the correct ring, you can go to the timeline it corresponds to," Ken said. He scanned the rings with his staff and immediately determined which timeline each one was linked to.
For an angel, something like that was ridiculously easy.
