It was finally the day they were to depart for the South.
Ryan had told Lyra about the message just yesterday and that she was to choose her personal maids who would accompany her for the journey and take care of her.
She didn't understand how and why she should have some maids. She was just a low servant who wasn't even an omega.
Lyra told Ryan not to bother with the maids as she didn't need one. She remembered how those maids had stripped her wanting to bathe her. That was too uncomfortable for her.
Ryan argued that if she didn't want to be bathed, she would just have to say no and refuse. Also the maids were useful if she called for them other than that they would just be bringing her food, preparing for her bathe and that was it.
Lyra tried to think where she'll get two maids but she wasn't close with any of them and they bullied her. What if she gets bullied every time by the maids she chose? She asked Ryan if she could get just one maid and he accepted.
