I need to leave, I'm sure this much that Luca is not here...and about Laurel, I don't think she is here either.
Thump!
I winced as I felt my head get hit by something hard from behind and I fell on the floor.
Well...maybe I am not so intelligent after all.
That was the last thing I had thought before passing out.
When I woke up, I could feel myself tied to the chair I was sitting on.
My legs, hands, stomache, everything was tied.
And I was all alone, no one else there.
I tried moving my legs but failed, however my hands were slightly loose, making it easy for me to grab a hold of the pocket knife, I had hidden in my sleeve.
Stupid people, don't even know how to kidnap.
After some attempts, the knife was right in my hands, and five men walked inside the room, alone with Franklin.
Except for him, everyone else's eyes were red, I felt like awarding myself with something great for such a honourable work.
And I couldn't stifle the laugh that was at the end and ended up laughing, making all six of them furious, especially Franklin, eventhough he hadn't gotten even a drop of it in his eyes.
Stupid donkey!
He walked to me gripped my jaw in a tight grip, tilting it side to side.
Observing it.
"Just like that bitch, but still could not act like her!"
He spat, as his finger went to my forehead, where the wound still had not completely healed and pressed it, making me hiss in pain.
He laughed at my reaction, jerking my face to the side.
"Can't even take care of this face!"
"Where is Laurel?" I glared at him but not for once did that smug grin was wiped away from that disgusting face of his.
"Laurel? Isn't your name Laurel? Laurel Miller!"
He was acting innocent, playing dumb but I was not going to let him play me.
"You are so stupid Laurel, so freaking stupid, came here out alone... should've brought your good for nothing brother, or maybe that boyfriend of yours."
He emphasized on, boyfriend.
"Oh wait! He doesn't even care!"
The whole group of men started laughing at me, looking down at me.
"Is it that funny?" I asked clearly not interested in their childish tricks.
"We are laughing though!" One said before bursting again in laughter.
"Am I?" I dared with a straight face.
Franklin's plan was something else, Laurel is not here, judging by their behaviour that sounds like it, and as for Luca, he ain't here either.
He had tricked me in his trap and I let him do so, I could be this much foolish too, I had never known, thankfully now I do.
"So...what to do with her now? Just do what we wanted to, or wait for sometime?"
Eyeing me from my head to toe, Franklin was thrown into confusion.
"Should we kill her right now? Or wait? That's a tricky question...but we don't have much time either!"
"No we can't, don't you remember the plan!"
"What? No way!"
All of them were whispering in each other's ears, telling them a plan.
Sounprofessional!
I couldn't even differentiate who was the leader and who were the helpers, because the man who as the mastermind, called me here was as indecisive as a newly sprouted teenager is, eventhough that man is almost 19.
He wasn't a boy of the age of 13 years old, his face looked like that of a kid, but he wasn't.
And that's why that day, eventhough I had intercepted that he was 13, after I had found out that he is Franklin, I had realised that he was actually 19 not 13.
"I'm at loss of words, but if you may help me, who is the leader amongst you all, like who in actual had made the plan for me to get kidnapped ?"
I talked as if I was not tied to a chair Infront of 6 men, taller, healthier and angrier than me.
"What are you trying to say?" Franklin glared.
"You know, like you 5 men, are not only healthier, taller than him, but you all are even older than him, so don't you think one of you should be the leader and not him?"
I was making them fight, and I could it succeeding to.
All of them looked at themselves, and then Franklin.
"As much as I thought that this spoiled brat would be stupid she did say something of reason, like he is the youngest amongst us, and about the plan it's not like it is his, we can also make things work if the plan is given to us!"
One of them spoke and all the other began agreeing with that man, they were cornering Franklin, just by their words, and their whole attention was on each other.
And that was what I wanted, taking out the knife from my sleeve, I began slicing the rope that was tied around my wrists.
Instead of rope, the blade landed on my hand and moved it causing my skin to slice from my palm, I bit my lips.
Hiding my pain, I began cutting the rope, while enjoying the ruckus I had created just by saying a few words.
"Enough!"
Franklin's yell, echoed through the whole abandoned warehouse, and all the men had gone quiet.
Walking upto me, he slapped me across my cheek, making it sting and my left ear go numb.
My inner lip had burst on the intensity of the slap, my mind shaken with it and instant tears filled my eyes.
Blood dripped from the corner of lips.
I was shaking in fear, but I didn't let it show on my face.
"You think you're smart?"
"Then you think you are? You were stalking me right? Then you must know, how old I am, I'm not just physically older than you, but my brain is more experienced than you'll ever be, so you tell me do you think that you're smart?"
I smirked at him, I was tied to the chair, while he stood tall, I was reaching half his height, while he looked brave and strong.
Yet still, my words were enough to intimidate him, I could see, his expressions were telling it, they were screaming it.
"Cat got your tongue?" The smug grin he had on his lips was now on mine, I looked stronger than him, and I felt it.
He scoffed grabbing my jaw in his tight, bruising grip.
"You can't do anything to me...not a single thing."
Saying that he pushed my jaw so hard that I fell backwards along with the chair, my hands that were tied at my back that were busy cutting the rope, were now slammed between the metal chair and concrete floor.
A snap!
And the agonizing pain in felt from my hand caused a scream to break from my lips.
I wanted to pull my hand from between there, but couldn't.
All of them were laughing at me and my pathetic condition.
I closed my eyes hoping the pain would lessen, the wound would heal itself.
My hand, it was burning up, it was stinging, the pain was so bad that I couldn't even feel the pain of the pocket knife that had slashed my other hand's wrist, abd how the back of my head had hit the floor.
The weight of my body, and the tightness of the rope, it was worsening it.
While laughing at me, one of them raised my chair and settled it back on the floor.
"Now act smart bitch!" That same man said, patting my face.
The humility I was feeling couldn't ever be compared to anything.
All of a sudden two men ran inside the warehouse.
There were more men?
"Sir, we found this in the bushes."
One of those new men handed Franklin the phone I had thrown in the leaves.
Franklin held it in his hands, scoffing at the my actions.
Using the face lock he opened the phone and had read the texts I sent to Luca before coming here along with the location.
"I think you really do want to die."
He spoke theough his gritted teeth, slamming the phone on the ground before crushing it with his shoes.
"All of you go outside and guard the area and doesn't matter who comes here, kill that person there and then!"
This time Franklin didn't sympathise me a little, he abused me till he was tired.
My whole body was aching now, especially my cheeks that were fully bruised because of slaps.
I was sniffing, while being tied to the chairs, my hand was hurting a lot, I couldn't move my whole left arm, my stomach, my legs, my head.
My whole body was bruised, I was once again left alone.
When I felt someone behind me, freeing me.
Luca!
