Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 – Superstar Skill: Wind-Chasing Youth

This shot was practically aimed at Su Hang's head as he made his forward run.

Kraków's two center-backs rushed in to intercept him. Earlier, Su Hang had lost the ball due to an overly aggressive challenge—borderline foul. But since the referee didn't blow the whistle, it was clear he was letting things flow. Su Hang knew he could go full throttle.

He collided with both defenders and activated "Physical Suppression." Holding off two players on his own, he managed to head the ball across to Owen.

To Su Hang's right, Owen took control; to his left, Borja made a run. The defenders split off immediately, abandoning Su Hang to cover the flanks.

Bang!

Owen glanced up and delivered a diagonal through ball. It rolled into the box. From being double-marked to completely unmarked, Su Hang charged forward, met the ball at the penalty spot, and took his shot.

It felt just like a shooting drill.

Whoosh!

The ball flew past the Kraków goalkeeper and into the far corner. It wasn't a curling shot, nor a tight angle, but fortunately, the keeper wasn't up to the task.

"GOAL! 3–1!"

"Su Hang! He's done it again!"

"Two goals for Su Hang—fantastic stuff!"

"He's torn Kraków's defense to shreds!"

"Two goals and an assist—Su Hang is on fire today!"

The commentators, once critical of Su Hang, completely changed their tune. He may have been quiet for most of the match, but this goal was something else. That header while being sandwiched by two defenders—he looked like a war god.

After scoring, Su Hang ducked under Owen's attempt to celebrate with him and dashed toward the corner flag. Owen could only trail behind. Su Hang leapt high into the air, spun 180 degrees mid-flight, arms hanging low, and landed with a powerful thud.

"Siu!"

The camera focused on number 24, Su Hang. At his request, his jersey bore his name in Chinese order, surname first. Many Polish fans would never forget that moment.

Applause swept across the stadium. The Polish crowd seemed captivated by Su Hang's goal. But in truth, they had celebrated every goal that day. It wasn't betrayal of their home team—it was love for a star-studded squad.

"Wow! What a celebration!"

"That's Su Hang's signature move! He did the same last season after winning the Copa del Rey and beating barcelona!"

"The 'siu' might be a cheer—or maybe just his name—but Real Madrid fans have embraced it!"

"He's won over this stadium—and the Polish fans!"

At that moment, everyone knew it was over. Kraków couldn't turn things around—not when facing a war god like Su Hang! And this Real Madrid Crown Prince wasn't even their first-choice striker. Not even second choice!

Can you believe it?

Su Hang himself wasn't thrilled. He hadn't planned on stealing the spotlight. But Camacho had gone too far, trying to force him out of the team—how could he stay quiet?

In the 85th minute, Guti played another through ball—yet more evidence of Kraków's shaky defense. Solari ignored Su Hang's call for the ball and fired a long shot that sailed into the stands. He'd seen Su Hang, but chose to go for glory himself.

There wasn't much choice. The competition in Madrid's midfield was brutal, and Solari needed to stand out if he wanted to secure a steady substitute role.

That mentality impressed Su Hang.

What a teammate, Solari! Zidane and the others should learn from him. If every player played with this mindset—finishing moves themselves instead of deflecting responsibility—Su Hang wouldn't be so stressed.

So he gave Solari a thumbs-up—nice shot. Solari looked a bit embarrassed. Su Hang was too gracious. He silently promised that next time, he'd pass to Su Hang without hesitation.

The match ended 3–1. Su Hang scored twice and provided one assist, edging out Owen, who had a goal and an assist of his own, to earn Man of the Match honors. Considering this was basically Real Madrid's second squad, Kraków never stood a chance. The return leg was a mere formality.

"Two goals and one assist! Crown Prince Su Hang secures Real Madrid's Champions League group stage spot!"

"Man of the Match! Su Hang outshines Owen!"

"The real deal! Su Hang proves he's a rising star—he may even be underrated. He's not far behind Ronaldo, Iniesta, or Torres!"

"Dynamic Duo! Su Hang and Owen show great chemistry—could Morientes' role be at risk?"

"Sources say Morientes only returned because he was promised a spot ahead of Su Hang!"

"Test passed! Owen, Samuel, and Woodgate impress—Real Madrid's offense boosted, defense solidified!"

"Kicker's Champions League forecast puts Real Madrid as title favorites!"

The easy win helped Real Madrid move past the shadow of last season. Everything was falling into place.

Su Hang also gained Owen's friendship and...

"Ding! Owen really enjoyed playing alongside you. He says even Ronaldo rarely passes to him in scoring positions. But... he thinks you're a bit slow, so he's gifted you the skill 'Chasing the Wind.'"

"Chasing the Wind: Superstar-level skill. Many have it, but Owen is the brightest among them. Your speed, explosiveness, and positioning will improve. In the final five minutes of a match, you can activate the 'Chasing the Wind' effect once, greatly boosting your acceleration."

Owen is amazing! Look at that generosity—where are the rest of Real Madrid's stingy veterans?

One game in, and he's already passing on a skill. That's class! I'll always admire you, Keri Owen!

Michael Owen: ???

Thanks to Owen's gift, Su Hang unlocked his Explosiveness stat—starting at an impressive 74! Naturally, he added it to his training regime.

To save time, Su Hang's personal training team stationed themselves at Real Madrid's facility. As soon as team practice ended, Su Hang jumped straight into his solo sessions.

Camacho didn't like it one bit. What—his training wasn't good enough? And now Su Hang needed extras?

Camacho told the training ground manager to beef up security and block any unauthorized personnel.

But the next day, Su Hang's team was back. Camacho demanded answers.

The manager told him it was Florentino himself who had cleared them.

Camacho was furious. Su Hang had gone over his head. Wasn't he still the head coach?

But the truth was, the night before, Florentino had hosted a team event with Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo, Beckham, and other stars. They'd talked about Su Hang's team, expressing genuine envy. They even tried the recovery massages and therapy and loved it.

Only then did Florentino greenlight Su Hang's team.

About ten days later, Real completed their third pre-season friendly—just in time for the biggest match before the new season: the Spanish Super Cup.
