1. The Hell Pit & Beasts
🔸The Hell Pit is the deepest zone of Hell where ancient Beasts reside.
🔸A Beast can hold a Soul Key, the essence of control over a soul.
🔸Whoever possesses the Soul Key has the ability to manipulate, enslave, or annihilate that soul.
🔸To claim or remove a Soul Key from a Beast, the Beast must be defeated and tamed.
🔸These Beasts serve as guardians, preventing a soul's key from returning to its original soul.
2. The Rotmen
🔸The Rotmen are servants of the Seven Royals of Hell.
🔸They act as messengers and enforcers, ensuring the will of the Royals is carried out without question.
🔸Encountering a Rotman usually means direct orders from a Royal are in play.
3. Birth of a Demon
🔸A human becomes a demon when they are marked by an existing demon on Earth.
🔸This Mark secures the human's soul for Hell, transforming it after death into a new demon.
🔸A demon's Mark type (Violence, Rot, Madness, etc.) dictates their powers, contracts, and path.
4. The Demon's Purpose
🔸Demons are soldiers of Hell.
🔸Their mission is to hunt Soul Keys, targeting humans, breaking their guardians, and delivering their soul to Hell.
🔸Training and growth follow the Nine Grades of Hell.
5. The Nine Grades of Hell
🔸Every demon begins training at Grade 1 and can rise as high as Grade 9.
🔸To advance a grade, a demon must complete Contracts.
🔸A Contract = capturing the Soul Key of a targeted human.
🔸Each grade has an overall level range (minimum → maximum). Only upon promotion does a demon unlock access to a higher range.
6. Soul Guards & Faith
🔸Every human has a Soul Guard, a divine protector (similar to an angel).
🔸A Soul Guard's strength depends on the human's Faith Level (0–100%).
🔸At 100%, the Soul Guard is nearly unbreakable.
🔸Below 50%, demons usually overpower them.
🔸Thus, much of a demon's work involves weakening faith before claiming the Soul Key.
7. Rewards for Contracts
🔸Completing contracts grants two types of currency:
🔸Contract Points (CP): Used to purchase weapons, tools, and enhancements.
🔸Mark Points (MP): Used to unlock Demon Seeds and Demon Spells.
🔸These rewards expand a demon's strength and versatility.
8. Demon Seeds & Demon Spells
🔸Both operate under the principle of Cause and Effect.
🔸Cause Energy: Everything, people, objects, environments contains latent "cause energy."
🔸Demon Seeds (Cause):
🔸Seeds are planted into people, objects, or environments.
🔸They act as catalysts, creating or amplifying causes that might not naturally exist.
🔸Example: Planting a seed of fear in a human to grow terror over time.
🔹Demon Spells (Effect):
🔹Spells are used to manifest an effect from an existing cause.
🔹Example: If fear is present (cause), a spell may manifest it as an illusion of horror (effect).
🔹Demonic Curses work similarly, but usually target destruction or long-term torment.
9. Marks & Power Restrictions
🔸A demon's Mark Type limits which causes they can influence.
🔸Example: A demon of Rot manipulates decay, erosion, and corruption.
🔸A demon of Lust manipulates desire, obsession, and compulsion.
🔸Effects are the visible powers created when a demon manipulates causes tied to their Mark.
🔸This ensures no two demons wield their strength the same way.
