Kiera
Glacian and I walked into the conference room together. We knew that what we were going to have to explain to the men was not going to be received well. All of these men were good ones. They protected first.
The room was in a small amount of chaos. The air was thick with tension. Some of the men were seated at the conference table. They seemed relaxed and simply waiting for the meeting to start. Every so often they would look up at the others in the room that were getting increasingly loud. Small groups were standing around the room. They seemed to be discussing the arrival of the carriers. From them it was just idle curiosity and protectiveness. They knew why we had gone to the other kingdom even if they did not know the extent of the damage. It was the men who were pacing and angrily grumbling about having to be here instead of with their mate that we knew were the dangerous ones. No amount of fast talking was going to calm them down.
