Chapter 59 - I Can Accept Your Surrender

Even a grown wizard would be overwhelmed by the combined attack of four official Prefects, each delivering surgical, merciless strikes from every direction.

Hermione had already covered her mouth in worry.

Even Pansy—normally all smugness and sneers—let out a panicked squeak.

As for the Prefects themselves, they wore confident smiles.

It was over.

Marius Cloud had to lose this time!

-----

Marius raised both wands, deflecting the spells from Kelly and Samuel with graceful precision.

The crowd gasped in awe at the twin-wand technique, but Kelly and Samuel grinned even wider.

He'd used up both hands.

He had no way to block what came next.

Almost instantly, Steve and Lisa's spells surged in from behind and above—timed perfectly to crash down the second he was occupied.

It was checkmate.

The crowd leaned forward, breath held.

So this is how it ends?

He was brilliant… but even Marius Cloud has limits.

What they didn't know—was that every movement, every trajectory, every spell—had already been mapped inside Marius' mind.

Thanks to Mental Scan, he saw everything.

-----

At the precise moment…

Marius leapt.

In one dazzling burst of movement, he flipped through the air like a ghostly blur, twisting his body mid-spin to avoid both spells.

The magic bolts slammed into each other beneath him, cancelling out in a flash of light.

And mid-air—

He struck.

Both wands extended.

Twin beams of magic, far more powerful than anything the Prefects had cast, roared outward and struck Steve and Lisa square in the chest.

BOOM! BOOM!

They were down.

Gone.

Crushed before they even realized what was happening.

Samuel and Kelly froze, faces blank.

Dumbledore and the Heads of House stood paralyzed.

Even Voldemort, watching through Quirrell's eyes…

blinked.

"He timed his counterattack to strike just as his opponents struck, knowing they'd have no time to defend!"

Voldemort's eyes narrowed as he instantly saw through the tactic.

"A reckless gamble," he muttered.

But even he couldn't deny—

It worked.

And more than that—it required extraordinary physical control.

Most wizards didn't have bodies capable of pulling off a move like that.

If Marius hadn't believed he could pull it off with 100% certainty…

Then it wasn't a gamble at all.

It was a calculated, surgical strike.

Voldemort narrowed his eyes, unsure for the first time whether this was mere talent… or something greater.

-----

"Incredible… he broke the deadlock using that?"

Even Dumbledore couldn't hide his awe.

The boy moved like one of those "athletes" Muggles trained to superhuman limits.

And to think someone like Marius Cloud—with a wizard's body—could perform those feats?

It defied everything.

Kelly and Samuel looked like they might collapse from shock.

How?

How is this even possible!?

But the student crowd?

They were exploding.

That movement. That elegance.

The sheer coolness of Marius' airborne flip had them screaming in excitement.

"Go, Marius!"

"You've got this!"

"Wipe the floor with 'em!"

Kelly and Samuel nearly vomited blood.

And then Kelly noticed Marius was looking at her.

His gaze was calm. Cold. Focused.

He'd locked on.

She took a step back instinctively.

She caught herself immediately and stepped forward again, biting her lip in frustration.

I'm not afraid!

-----

But Marius only smiled faintly.

Without lifting his wand…

"Psychic Pulse."

Kelly's eyes widened.

The sheer oppressive aura radiating from him had just started to dissipate—and suddenly, it came back with crushing force.

Her consciousness trembled.

THUD!

She screamed and collapsed, unconscious on the spot.

-----

The silence that followed was deafening.

Kelly—one of the oldest and strongest Prefects—had just… dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Without even being touched.

Samuel, standing next to her, looked like someone had dumped ice water down his robes.

He hadn't even seen what had happened.

One second they were six.

Now…

He was the last one standing.

-----

"Merlin's beard—did she just faint from fear!?"

"There's no way! What happened!?"

"I swear, he didn't even move his wand!"

One of the older students stepped up, nodding wisely:

"I've heard that the more people you defeat, the stronger your aura becomes. And Marius just took out four. His pressure's enough to knock someone out!"

"That's five Prefects down!"

Finally, the realization hit the entire crowd.

The six strongest Prefects…

Had become one very lonely Samuel.

-----

"WHAT is that combat power!?"

"He's a one-man army!"

Everyone's jaws dropped.

Barry and Joseph were trembling from excitement.

They knew it—

They had backed the right kid!

He was their leader.

He was the monster that no one in Hogwarts could match.

Even students from other Houses were now starting to look at Marius with awe—some even considering defecting from their own dorms.

This battle… would be carved into Hogwarts history.

-----

Marius stood tall, cool and composed, the lone figure amid a field of unconscious Prefects.

He looked at Samuel and said calmly:

"You're the only one left."

Samuel's hand holding his wand was shaking.

Visible sweat poured from his face.

Marius could only imagine how soaked his robes were beneath.

-----

"Well?" he said with a warm smile.

"Would you like to surrender?"

He didn't even lift a finger.

Just stood there, smiling.

"I'll accept your surrender, if you'd like."
