"A half-demon?" The voice repeated the two words, its tone unreadable.
"Yes, I wonder if you'd like to hear it?" Inoyue clasped her hands in a prayer-like gesture before her chest, secretly praying that he would like it, as she truly couldn't find any other demon stories.
After a moment, the voice finally spoke: "Tell it!" From its tone, it seemed somewhat interested.
"Lady Rumiko Takahashi, please help me!" Inoyue silently prayed, then took a deep breath and finally began to tell the story of demons and humans: Inuyasha.
"Long, long ago, there was a half-demon named Inuyasha…" All stories begin with "long, long ago," so please bear with me, dear readers.
Inoyue told the story very seriously. In her previous life, she had watched this anime more than three times, and she remembered the content and plot quite clearly.
She first introduced Inuyasha's background, then slowly began to narrate: a young half-demon, in order to become a true great demon, sought to steal the Shikon Jewel.
The voice seemed to be drawn into the story, occasionally asking for the continuation of the plot and showing considerable interest in the characters.
When she reached the part where Inuyasha met Kikyo, gradually changed his initial intention of seizing the Shikon Jewel, and even fell in love with Kikyo.
Here, she could clearly sense the voice's pleasure. But when she spoke of Naraku's interference, his framing of Inuyasha, and Kikyo's severe injury and sealing of Inuyasha, the voice clearly showed anger, and even some regret.
"Little girl, what happens next?" The voice clearly hadn't heard enough, urging Inoyue to continue the story.
"It worked, hehe!" Inoyue chuckled inwardly. It seemed the owner of this voice was a demon who had been lonely for who knows how long. And the anime Inuyasha was quite effective; it worked very well, directly captivating this demon.
Next, next was Higurashi Kagome's appearance, and a grand adventure of love and collecting the Shikon Jewel would begin.
...
"You should leave!" The voice suddenly interrupted Inoyue's story.
"Huh!" Inoyue didn't understand the meaning of the voice's words. She herself had been drawn back into the story of Inuyasha, and as she told it, she had become immersed in it.
She had just recounted how Kagome saved Inuyasha, how the two shattered the Shikon Jewel, and how, during their collection journey, the super handsome Sesshomaru made a grand entrance for the Tessaiga left by his father. However, unexpectedly, just as she got to this point, the voice inexplicably said that.
"Your story is very good; I enjoy listening to it. But you should leave now. If there's a next time, I'll listen to you tell it then!" The voice sounded again, and after it finished, the surroundings immediately fell silent, as if the owner of the voice had disappeared.
"Hey, where are you going? I haven't finished my story yet." Inoyue finally reacted, hurrying to ask as she ran two steps forward, but after only two steps, she suddenly felt extremely tired, her heart very uncomfortable, and her consciousness once again blurred.
Forcing herself to stay awake, Inoyue struggled to open her eyelids, and vaguely, a smiling face seemed to appear before her.
A head of short yellow hair, a sunny and handsome face always bearing a charming smile.
"Minato-sensei!" A weak Inoyue whimpered, her consciousness already recognizing whose face this belonged to.
"Saved again, it's good to be alive!" Inoyue muttered to herself, no longer able to resist her body's fatigue, and fell into a deep sleep.
"Sensei, is she alright?" Uchiha Suien immediately stepped forward to ask.
"Ah, she's fine, just severe oxygen deprivation." While answering, Minato handed the Inoyue in his arms to the medical personnel nearby.
Because Minato was rescuing someone, emergency medical personnel were temporarily assigned here. These personnel were prepared for Inoyue, but even more so for Minato.
...
A major change occurred in Kikyo Castle. The Konoha Ninja were divided into two parts: the main force directly intercepted the Sand Ninja outside Kikyo Castle, while a smaller portion of Ninja directly entered Kikyo Castle to set up defenses.
Inoyue was in danger in the castle, buried alive by the collapse. Uchiha Suien, in a moment of quick thinking, immediately recalled the scene from their first battlefield alert mission, when Minato-sensei suddenly appeared and blocked a fatal Kunai for Inoyue.
If Minato-sensei's Flying Thunder God was used, Inoyue could definitely be saved; that was his thought at the time. After he returned to the main camp, in order to find Minato-sensei, he directly barged into Jiraiya's camp.
Due to the urgency of time, after explaining the reason, Jiraiya did not blame him much, but he opposed Minato using the Flying Thunder God to rescue Inoyue.
The reason was simple: if Inoyue was buried in a place with no space, what would happen if he teleported there?
This could very well put Minato in danger too.
Because if there was no space to accommodate another person, if Minato teleported there, his body would automatically push away surrounding objects. Even if the surroundings were Kunai, the teleported body would unhesitatingly push them outwards, and in a very short time, the teleported person would be injured.
This was simply seeking death. So there had to be some space, and with Minato's god-like reaction speed, he could avoid injury.
This was a gamble, gambling with Minato's life, which is why Jiraiya opposed Minato using the Flying Thunder God for the rescue.
"Don't worry, Master, I'll be fine. Inoyue is my disciple too."
Minato said with a smile. The words "my disciple" moved Jiraiya. After all, Minato was also Jiraiya's disciple, and if Minato was in trouble, Jiraiya would likewise not abandon him.
"Then call the medical squad in; be ready for anything." Jiraiya finally nodded in agreement.
Uchiha Suien pleaded, Jiraiya agreed, and then with the medical squad in position, Minato used the Flying Thunder God.
Although Minato said he wouldn't be injured, Jiraiya was clearly aware of the risks involved. If Inoyue was truly buried and crushed, Minato, though he wouldn't die, would definitely be severely injured. Therefore, the medical squad in position was especially important.
...
Once everything was ready, Minato used the Flying Thunder God and instantly disappeared.
Instant disappearance, instant return; this should have been the best outcome. But after Minato disappeared, there was no response for several seconds.
Jiraiya's heart sank to rock bottom. Not appearing for so long was not a good sign.
"Could it be…"
Just as everyone was speculating about the worst outcome, Minato appeared again with Jutsu, holding the unconscious Inoyue in his arms.
"Success!" Everyone's hearts filled with joy. The medical squad quickly came to take the person, and Uchiha Suien also followed them to the treatment area.
"Well done, Minato, you scared me, your master, half to death." Jiraiya shouted happily.
Seeing everyone retreat from the main camp, Minato seriously whispered, "Master, I have a major discovery!"
"What major discovery?" Seeing Minato report so formally, Jiraiya also became alert.
"A huge treasure!" Minato's words instantly filled Jiraiya with unexpected joy.
Minato was not a boastful person. Although he had Jiraiya as a somewhat unconventional teacher, Minato had passed the test and was not at all corrupted by Jiraiya.
So if Minato said this was a huge treasure, then this treasure was truly enormous.
As the saying goes, money makes the world go round. With a huge treasure right in front of them, who wouldn't be tempted?
Minato only told Jiraiya what he saw in the few seconds after he entered, and Jiraiya immediately located the treasure based on the spatial coordinates Minato provided. Then he gathered people to start excavating.
The treasure ultimately belonged to Konoha, and obtaining such a treasure would undoubtedly be a godsend for Konoha.
