"So..." she asked, still avoiding looking directly at him, her voice a little louder than usual.
"Can you think of a name?"
Kyrian rested one elbow on his knee as he watched the little creature, his violet eyes taking in every detail of her form. She had already finished almost half of the shell, and her tiny body seemed slightly brighter than it had been a few minutes earlier, as though the shell's energy was already being absorbed.
It was truly fascinating how that little being seemed so complete, so perfect in its simplicity.
The young man thought for a while, his mind going through possibilities. In truth, he had rarely needed to name any living creature in his life. The creatures he encountered during his travels usually already had names or simply didn't need them.
As he watched the little serpent, a single word naturally appeared in his mind without any effort, as though it had always belonged to that little creature.
He raised his eyes.
