Chapter 10 - CHAPTER - 10

Hordon, Haikage, and haikage's men were coming down the stairs. It was completely dark, so they used their torchlights. Haikage's guards moved ahead while Haikage and Hordon followed behind.

Hordon thought, "What are those fuckers doing down there? Were they killed? Even Glanton didn't report to me."While Hordon was thinking that, Haikage was thinking, "Is this some ambush by Hordon?" He looked at Hordon, who was acting as if he didn't know anything. "This guy Hordon… he's too fucking clever. I shouldn't be tricked by his acting," Haikage thought, keeping his guard up in case Hordon suddenly ambushed him.

Suddenly, the lights in the stairwell turned on. The guards of Haikage switched off their torches—and immediately the stair lights went out again, plunging everything back into darkness.

Then automatic firing erupted from below. The shooter was deadly accurate; not a single shot missed. When the lights flickered on again, Hordon and Yoshida saw Haikage's guards lying on the stairs, drenched in blood.

Hordon picked up a gun and a torch from one of the dead guards. haikage did the same. Hordon scanned up and down the stairs, thinking, "Who the fuck have I messed with? Shooting with such precision in total darkness… only a master can do that."

The lights went out again, but this time Hordon and haikage managed to switch on their torches.

"Whoever it is, come out—we can talk it out," Hordon said diplomatically.

"I am here," a voice replied.

They aimed their torches toward the sound and saw Vishnu standing there with no gun. haikage immediately tried to shoot him but missed.

Another voice echoed, calmer but filled with anger: "You've already pissed me off, and you still haven't stopped."

A gunshot followed—and both Hordon and haikage's torches were shot out of their hands, injuring them.

"Hey haikage, you fucker, what are you doing?" Hrdon shouted.

The lights came back on again, revealing Vishi and Vishnu standing in front of them. haikage and Hordon were shocked that the people messing with them were just kids, but haikage forced himself to stay composed.

"What is your problem?" hordon asked.

"You," Vishi answered.

He attacked Hordon, striking his stomach and near his mandible. haikage wanted to help, but Vishnu's aura terrified him—he felt the consequences of interfering would be fatal.

Vishi looked at Hordon and said, "I'm the son of the woman you kidnapped today."

Hordon stared at him and then suddenly burst out laughing maniacally."Ha ha ha ha ha… ha ha ha ha!"

Vishi put a bullet in Hordon's knee. Hordon screamed. Vishi leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Laugh now."

But Hordon still said, "Enjoy… the fuck you want…."

Suddenly, the sound of cars echoed from outside.

Vishnu checked and said, "I guess these are Hordon's people."

Hordon laughed again. "I said right… enjoy all you want—but you won't enjoy now." His eyes locked onto Vishi's.

Vishnu said, "There would be around seventy-five people at minimum down there. If we count the maximum, maybe around a hundred."

Vishi stared at Hordon with calm anger.

Vishi turned to the other man. "Who are you?"

"I'm haikage, the leader of the haikage gang from the adjacent district."

Vishi asked, "How many can we stop right now? And what's our survival rate?"

Vishnu replied instantly, "If we use Hordon as a distraction, we can take out around fifty to sixty guys, but it'll be extremely hard. They're coming too fast. Our survival rate is close to twenty percent."

While he spoke, Vishi shot the control panel of the elevator, making it malfunction so the people inside couldn't come up.

Then he said to Vishnu, "Attack those fuckers coming up the stairs."

He looked at Hordon and haikage. "I'll try to come up with an idea to distract them."

Vishnu nodded and moved toward the stairs.

Hordon, lying injured, muttered, "You are… fucked."

(On the stairs)

A crowd of armed men charged upward.Glinton, Hordon's left-hand man, said, "Be cautious—there may be traps."

Right after he said that, two bodies rolled down the stairs. They froze—those were their comrades.

Suddenly, gunfire rained down from above. It was Vishnu.

He was silent, precise, and ruthless. He used the bodies of the fallen guards as shields, enraging the attackers, but their anger didn't help—Vishnu reloaded too quickly for them to react.

Vishnu then threw several glass bottles at them. The men hesitated, thinking, "Is his ammo finished?"

But then Vishi tossed a burning lighter down.

The bottles ignited—because they were filled with alcohol—setting the front attackers on fire.

Using the distraction, Vishnu fired again, cutting down more of them. Then he set some of the dead bodies on fire and pushed them downward so the remaining attackers couldn't advance upward.
