Jún laid-back on ground and was agonizing in pain of his injuries and after he bowed to Fengyìn to greet her the pain was more excruciating for him.
"AAAARRRRGGHHHH....." Jún screamed in pain laying on the ground holding his ribs. Master Zi Chen got onto his knees to check on Jún. Hearing his groans and screams made Master Zi Chen worried, he was concerned and it was obvious from his facial expressions.
"Jún! What happened..... let me see it...."
Master Zi Chen put his finger on Jún's rib, the moment he touched his ribs Jún groaned even louder, his pain increased even more. Hearing his scream Master Zi Chen recoil his hand back, he was scared after the touch to his ribs.
Liang and Fengyìn were acknowledging everything they were looking concerned for Jún.
"Master..... what happened? Why you look you concerned.....? Is brother Jún okay?" Liang asked, Master Zi Chen was hesitant to speak but he couldn't let truth to be hidden from them.
"I am sorry to say... but I guess Jún unfortunately had his ribs broken."
Liang and Fengyìn were in shock, Liang and Fengyìn couldn't believe but that was the truth unfortunately.
"Broken ribs..... Master this is very much excruciating for him, he must also having problems in breathing as well." Fengyìn said with concern, Master Zi Chen nodded and started to believe that it was all his fault, he blamed himself for this.
"This is all my fault... I should've never brought you both here, in this forest. I had no idea that something could happen like this. I am sorry Jún..... I am so sorry....."
Master Zi Chen took all responsibility of this unfortunate incident, and blamed himself, Liang gently put his hand onto his shoudler and tried to console.
"Master..... please don't blame yourself, it's not your fault. Nobody had any idea about this incident. These things are not in our hands. Right now all we have in hands is present... Right now we have to think how we could treat brother Jún's injury." Liang tried make Master Zi Chen understand that it is not his fault and advised that they should find a cure for Jún's broken ribs. Master Zi Chen disappointed and angry, he replied.
"How we could treat his broken ribs Liang! we have nothing here... NOTHING! Here I have carried no herbs. Though I can find the herbs in this forest but it will take time and Jún could not bear with this pain. I don't know what to do....."
Master Zi Chen held his head down in disappointment, he had shed of tears in his eyes, Liang was watching helplessly Jún groaning in pain. Fengyìn was very upset seeing Jún in pain, Master Zi Chen disappointed and Liang concerned for his brother. She believed it all happened because of her, all of them came up against the bull to protect her and now it is her responsibility to do something.
Fengyìn suddenly started to think something and then she started to search for something inside her satchel. She put her hand inside and searched, suddenly she grabbed onto something, and there a smile on her face. She grabbed onto that thing and pulled it out, it was a charred wooden flask craved from bloodwood bark. She came upto Master Zi Chen gently put her hand onto his shoudler and politely said.
"Master..... take this."
Master Zi Chen looked at her and saw that she was offering him that charred wooden flask. Master Zi Chen had no idea what it was and it was inside the flask.
"What is this.....?" Master Zi Chen asked. Fengyìn replied calmly.
"This is Xuèshén Yin(Bloodgod's draught), this will help him to replenish his health, I think there is little bit left, but this may be enough to heal him."
Master Zi Chen was numb for a second, he didn't want to take it because he looked at her hand and she also had some bruises as well. He knew that if he took Xuèshén Yin from her nothing will be left for her.
"No.... no..... I cannot take this from you. I am sorry." Master Zi Chen rejected the offer, Fengyìn asked curiously wanted to know the reason of his rejection.
"Why..... why not Master, is there something wrong?" Fengyìn asked calmly. Master Zi Chen was hesitant at first but answered in the end.
"I can see the bruises on your hands, you need it first. Since it is yours I have no rights to take this away from you."
Fengyìn didn't argued she simply smiled and said.
"Master.... it is nice to know you don't like to take anyone's favor but trust me I am not doing this for any sort of favor. I am a healer and it is my responsibility right now heal prince Jún."
Master Zi Chen with teary eyes asked.
"Then what about you... and your bruises?"
Fengyìn gave her assurance to Master Zi Chen. She gently replied.
"Master.... you don't have to worry about my bruises. These are not that painful and excruciating than his broken ribs. Trust me I can handle this, right now Prince Jún need this more than me, I can treat this bruises back at my home. Please Master do not reject this and kindly accept this."
Fengyìn again offered the Xuèshén Yin to Master Zi Chen, this time Master Zi Chen agreed to her request and kindly accepted her offer with teary eyes. He took the flask from her and thanked her for her kindness.
"Thank you.... thank you my child.... thank you so much. You are an angel." Master Zi Chen said.
Master Zi Chen opened the cap of the flask after opening there were some fumes coming out of the flask. The smell was quite distasteful, inside the flask a thick molten amber with swirling crimson like blood dispersing in honey liquid. Slow and syrupy in texture clings to the flask when tilted and flecks of gold when shaken. Liang was closely watching it and seeing it's appearance he was kind of amazed.
"Jún..... drink this." Master Zi Chen said,
Jún hesitated. "What is this Master..... it smells so bad."
"Jún.... this is a magical potion Xuèshén Yin. Once you drink this your pain will be gone and your broken ribs will be repaired."
Jún scoffed but took the vial. The moment the liquid touched his tongue, his eyes widened.
"Aaahhaa... I am drinking this it tastes so bad." Jún refused to drink but Master Zi Chen forced him to drink.
"Jún don't be so naive. Drink this..... this is for your own good."
Master Zi Chen sticked the flask to Jún's mouth and tilted the flask. Jún unwillingly drank the Xuèshén Yin at once. After drinking there was bright golden sparkling light could be seen through his stomach.
"What is this..... what is happening to me. Arrahahhaa....." Jún asked in pain. Master Zi Chen asked him to stay calm.
"Stay calm Jún... stay calm. Just wait for some time and your pain will vanish."
The pain ebbed like waves receding from the shore, and the warmth spread through his limbs. The bruises and gash on his chest slowly recovered and his broken ribs started to get repaired magically.
