He clearly did not expect it.
Although he anticipated he would meet the original owner of the body, as the System stated that the owner's original body died and his soul already entered the afterlife, his consciousness remained, for some reason.
Perhaps, a wisp of his soul remained and clung to Liu Wei, too.
