"One more!! Turbo wants another round!!"
"No fair, I wanna race too!!" Ticket protests.
"R-Rice too…!!" Rice chimes in.
"No backing down here, Nature-san," Nature says.
"Me neither," Ikuno adds.
"Me too!!" Tanhoiza declares.
"No worries, I'll take you all on," Ramone smirks.
Unfazed after her race, Ramone's breath is steady. After crushing Rampage in a match race, Canopus challenges her, only to be obliterated—Ramone takes first.
"Rampage-san, you in?" Minamisaka asks.
"Need a break… too brutal…" Rampage pants.
Exhausted, Rampage rests as Minamisaka tasks Ramone with facing the others. Ramone agrees, starting another race. Rampage marvels at a Triple Tiara Uma Musume's might.
"Damn… gave it my all, still got smoked," Rampage mutters.
"First Triple Tiara Uma Musume, indeed," Minamisaka nods.
"No kidding. Mejiro's treasure lives up to the hype."
In match races, Rampage unleashed her big lead and illusion escape tactics, using every skill. Yet, Ramone won by two lengths, then four, and five in the Canopus group race.
"My illusion escape worked, but still lost… experience gap?" Rampage asks.
"And technique. She counters and recovers effortlessly," Minamisaka explains.
"Felt that," Rampage sighs.
This is a Triple Crown Uma Musume. Rudolf and CB must be monsters too.
"She's a mid-runner or chaser, right? Getting smoked like that's a shock," Rampage grumbles.
In the group race, Ramone hung back to observe, adopting a late-charge style—outside her norm—yet dominated.
"Feeling down?" Minamisaka probes.
"You think I'm some tofu-mental weakling? I've been to hell and back," Rampage snaps.
Despite her all-out effort, Ramone's non-specialty style crushed her. Total defeat, but not fatal—a growth-fueling loss.
"Minami-chan, you're brutal. Pitting me against a Triple Tiara to keep my ego in check," Rampage says.
"Sorry, but I couldn't imagine you breaking," Minamisaka replies.
"Guess I'm a rough, sloppy Uma Musume."
"Didn't say that."
"Close enough."
Minamisaka's faith in her shines through. It's flattering. To repay it, she'll chase strength to rival Mejiro's treasure.
"You're tougher than I thought," a bold voice calls.
Rampage turns to see a sunglass-wearing Uma Musume—Monsigny, removing her shades.
"Monsigny-san!?" Rampage gasps.
"You look lively, Rampage. Sorry for the delay, Minamisaka-san," Monsigny says.
"No worries, Ramone-san's covering," Minamisaka replies.
They chat casually, but Rampage wonders if Monsigny's here too.
"I wasn't the first choice, but schedules clashed. I'm the substitute," Monsigny explains.
"Substitute for who?" Rampage asks.
"Really wanna know?" Monsigny teases.
"Pass," Rampage backtracks.
Monsigny's grin confirms why Minamisaka warned of tougher menus.
"Monsigny's why it's brutal?" Rampage asks.
"Ramone's skilled but too gentle for coaching. I'm stricter," Monsigny says.
"Gentle? She crushed me," Rampage retorts.
"Good. Gentle then harsh hits harder."
Training with Triple Tiara Ramone and Monsigny, her rival, is a privilege—but daunting.
"Break's over. Run," Monsigny orders.
"Lucky me… my rivals are screwed. Time to evolve, Turf's Dictator!!" Rampage roars.
"That's the spirit! Move it!!" Monsigny barks.
Monsigny's military-like coaching begins, a deluxe Mejiro duo with Ramone. Canopus, especially Rampage, will benefit long-term.
"Hey, Monsigny!! Yo!!" CB calls.
"CB, loud as ever. Doing well?" Monsigny asks.
"Obviously!" CB grins.
"Hard to imagine you otherwise," Monsigny chuckles.
Spica and Rigil pass by, spotting Monsigny. CB detours to greet her.
"Monsigny-senpai… it's been a while," Rudolf says, tense.
"Rudolf, you've gotten timid," Monsigny teases, patting her shoulder.
"Your Summer Dream Trophy was amazing," Rudolf says.
"Thanks. Had to watch our treasure race," Monsigny replies.
"Yo, Monsigny, listen! Rudolf challenged me 'cause she was jealous I visited you. She was hyped for revenge!" CB blurts.
"CB!!" Rudolf snaps.
Rudolf wanted that secret kept. Monsigny sighs, amused.
"Thought you'd grown, Luna Lion. You're the same. I'm flattered, but you're stronger now," Monsigny says.
"It doesn't matter. I respect you, senpai… and stop with Lion," Rudolf protests.
"L-I-O-N, Lion!!" CB taunts.
"CB!!!" Rudolf fumes.
"Gotcha mad!!" CB flees, Rudolf chasing.
Monsigny watches, exasperated yet nostalgic, smiling warmly.
"Ramone and Monsigny? Minamisaka, you're hardcore," Tojo says.
"Hardcore? Rudolf and CB's double Triple Crowners are worse," Minamisaka counters.
"Too true…" Tojo concedes.
Ramone not tough enough? Fine, Monsigny it is.
