"Let's start the Canopus regular meeting."
"Woo!!"
Originally set up by Turbo and Tanhoiza to discuss their potential, the meeting became formalized with Rampage's push and Minamisaka's help.
"Today's agenda: upcoming schedules. Rampage-san, Ikuno-san, Rose Stakes in September, right?"
"Yup, I'll claim that final crown perfectly," Rampage boasts.
"Not this time. I'll take it," Ikuno counters.
The usual scene unfolds: Rampage's confidence versus Ikuno's defiance. An undefeated Triple Tiara or Ikuno's upset is the Tiara route's highlight. Watching her seniors, Turbo, eager for her debut, can't hold back.
"Ugh!! Trainer, Turbo wants to debut already!! Ikuno debuted last July!!"
"Calm down, Turbo. But yeah, I'm itching too," Nature adds.
"I expected this," Minamisaka says, smacking the whiteboard.
It spins, stopping to reveal: Twin Turbo, Nice Nature Debut Dates Set!!
"No way!! Trainer, does that mean…!?"
"Yes, your debuts are scheduled."
"Yay!! When!? Tomorrow!?"
"Not quite. Both in September."
"September… good timing after the hot summer," Nature nods.
"Debut!!" Turbo cheers.
Turbo bounces around; Nature hides her excitement, but her ears and tail betray her joy.
"Congrats, Turbo, Nature!!" Tanhoiza claps.
"September, huh? Minami-chan, we've got Rose Stakes too," Rampage points out.
"I can handle it. Easier than you casually winning Double Crowns," Minamisaka quips.
"Ouch, got me there. What's the distance?"
"1800m turf for Turbo and Nature."
Maiden race at 1800m—perfect. Turbo's stamina should hold, and Nature's a sure bet.
"Can't wait!! I'm running now to train for debut!!" Turbo bolts.
"Hey, Turbo!! She's gone," Rampage sighs.
"I'll catch her!!" Nature dashes.
"Let's make it training. Keeps Turbo quiet," Ikuno suggests.
"Fair point. Let's go," Minamisaka agrees.
As Canopus members chase after, Rampage mutters, "Turbo started this meeting, yet she's the first to ditch. Typical."
"Very Turbo, but I'm glad she's training," Minamisaka chuckles.
"Better than slacking… I guess."
More agenda remains, Minamisaka notes with a wry smile. Rampage retakes her seat—she's the team's captain, after all, and must listen to the team trainer.
"Second topic: join requests are piling up. Too many to handle—what do we do?"
"Yeah, I'm stealing the spotlight, huh? Gotta hear this. How many?"
Minamisaka hands over a list. It's packed with names—more than expected.
"What, bandwagon fans?"
"I doubt it," Minamisaka replies.
"Still, that's a lot… wait." Rampage spots a familiar name: Winning Ticket. No Biwa Hayahide or Narita Taishin yet, but their prior encounter suggests they might join. A new generation of stars confirms this world's depth.
"I can't manage them all alone. We need to narrow it down," Minamisaka says.
"Hold a selection race. Top performers join," Rampage suggests.
"Best option. There's one next week," Minamisaka agrees.
Rampage recalls—Rice is running in that race, hoping to find a trainer.
"Hey, Minami-chan, keep an eye on Rice too."
"Rice Shower? Sure, but why?"
"She's nervous about not having a trainer. I told her Canopus is an option, so… if it comes to it, scout her."
"Got it. I'd gladly invite Rice to Canopus."
"Appreciate it."
Relief washes over Rampage. She'd hate to let Rice down after her bold promise, though Rice finding her own trainer would make it moot.
"Just confirming, after the Autumn Flower, it's the Queen Elizabeth II Cup?"
"Obviously. Not thinking about Arima yet."
"Understood, I'll plan accordingly."
"How about crashing JC or Mile Championship after the Queen Elizabeth? Sounds fun."
"That's… a week after, not even mid-week! Rest, please."
"Boo."
Minamisaka's blood ran cold hearing Queen Elizabeth to Mile Championship. Historically, Ikuno ran G1s consecutively:
Tenno Sho (Autumn) 11/1 → Mile Championship 11/22 → Japan Cup 11/29.
