Blake kept walking, avoiding to look back.
His heartbeat was still unusually loud in his ears, and although his skill continued to make everyone around him ignore his presence, he couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed.
Captain Caine.
'He left a weird impression when I saw him... I mean, he did basically threaten the staff and their families.'
As he continued to walk ahead, he noticed that on both sides of the corridor, there were a bunch of soldiers lined up.
"Don't just stand there, line up."
Blake immediately went at the end of the row and positioned exactly like the other soldiers.
A moment later, he could hear slow but loud footsteps approaching.
"At ease."
He stiffened at the sight.
'It seemed like those soldiers were just about to contact him... how is he already there?'
The same imposing person he remembered was there, not even glancing at the soldiers.
'What is that thing he's wearing? Sunglasses? I mean, it must be some sort of device.'
