Vale's POV
Fire exploded through every nerve in my body.
The moment my friends stepped into the ritual circle, the magic went completely wild. Instead of draining our power into Ryker, it started bouncing between all of us like lightning in a storm.
"Get out!" I screamed at Dante, but he couldn't hear me over the roar of unleashed magic.
The five controlled kings began chanting faster. Their voices merged into one terrible sound that made my teeth ache and my vision blur.
Then something impossible happened.
I was suddenly seeing through five different pairs of eyes at once.
Through the Dragon King's eyes, I saw flames dancing around the circle. Through the Vampire King's eyes, I watched blood dripping from everyone's hands. Through the Werewolf King's eyes, I smelled fear and determination. Through the Demon King's eyes, I felt the hunger of ancient magic.
And through my own eyes, I saw my friends suffering as the ritual tore through them.
