"Satan!" Manny exclaimed.
"That's right, Satan!" Constantine smirked wickedly.
Satan's arrival was Constantine's plan; Manny's appearance, a bonus. Lacking trust, Constantine doubted angels had time to "observe" him idly.
"Andariel is Satan!?" Rumlow and Luke shouted in unison, stunned. Satan looked pathetic, no Hell lord grandeur—just a bloody waist wound. Andariel, meanwhile, was a ferocious force, ready to slaughter.
"Wait, who's that?" Rumlow and Luke pointed at Satan; Manny at Andariel.
Only Constantine, recognizing both, felt his brain quake, ignoring his belly's pain.
Manny wanted to yell "You tricked me!" with a horrified look but froze, thrown off by the stranger with Satan. Rumlow and Luke, expecting to see Satan per the dialogue, were shocked by Andariel.
Everyone stood like actors after a director's "cut," dazed, out of sync. Matt, blind, saw nothing. Angel, clueless about the occult, cowered in a corner.
In the other dimension, the Ancient One's expression was odd. Bul-Kathos drank, surprised Constantine's summoning of Satan dragged Andariel back too. He'd worked hard to send a barbarian's "blessing" to Hell.
"Demons must die!" Andariel, back on Earth, roared, making things bizarre.
"You kids, wait! I'll chop this stinking demon first, then chat!" Andariel's Oathkeeper pressed harder, clarifying Satan's identity to Rumlow and Luke.
"I need to handle my son!" Satan's white suit, stained with black blood, resembled a giant Dalmatian. His tone begged, humbled after failing to quickly defeat Andariel with others in Hell, now facing him alone. Pride? Hell lords cared little for it when annihilation loomed.
"I'll send your son to you soon!" Andariel's blade breached Satan's energy shield, nearing his waist.
Constantine gaped. How was Satan summoned mid-battle? Refusing the call would've been saner.
"You just watching?" the Ancient One asked, amused. No one predicted Constantine's scheme would end like this.
Constantine never trusted angels or demons. Trust was alien to this con artist, despite his charm drawing others, whom he genuinely cared for. But he'd never let feelings stop his schemes—it was his way. His friends knew this, yet stuck by him, needing his unreliable cunning.
A decent medium, Constantine danced between Heaven and Hell, hated by many yet alive. Only disease might claim him.
"Enough," Bul-Kathos said, rising slowly to face everyone. Mammon, Satan, Gabriel, and Manny—the sources of his rage—were here. Time to show them the cost of taking a noble life before a barbarian.
The Ancient One waved, dissolving the other dimension. Wielding the dark dimension's power, she could humble Hell's lords. With such strength, strategy gave way to annihilation.
If someone could handle her wrath, they could try using her—like Constantine, clutching his belly.
"Satan, don't worry about your son. I'm not unprepared," Constantine sneered, snatching the Spear of Destiny from the stunned Manny. "If I birth your kid, will you call me 'darling' and share Hell? I hear you owe child support."
Sweating, Constantine slashed his belly with the Spear. Per Hell's Bible, Mammon needed Heaven's power to claim Satan's throne. But if Constantine freed Mammon himself, Mammon would grow human-like, akin to Hellboy rumors.
Constantine's final step: release Mammon as his trump card to force Satan's concessions. Hell lords' children inherited rule fragments, siphoned from their fathers. On Earth, they owned those rules fully. Their death returned those rules to a free state, coveted by other lords.
Constantine needed a shield, a bargaining chip. Heaven or Hell could wait—he'd stay alive, keeping his soul from both.
