Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: Who the Heck is This Pink Idiot?

Chapter 87: Who the Heck is This Pink Idiot?

As the game officially began, 60 gummy figures moved wildly forward. Each level had a time limit and a qualifying row. Once the number of players or the time limit was reached, those who didn't make it to the finish line were eliminated. Everyone was eager to reach the finish line as quickly as possible.

Additionally, this level, called "Door Dash," featured a row of doors along the path, some real and some fake. This made it a true test of luck. Some players ran into them, while others found the correct one. With someone clearing the way, the subsequent players rushed towards the open door.

Furthermore, the game had a grabbing function. The scene was chaotic for a while. A group of players outside the exhibition hall, clutching their phones, couldn't help but shout:

"Who is this pineapple-head guy? You're almost stealing my pants!"

"Why do all these doors converge in this same place?"

"Hurry up and let me pass! Stop blocking me!"

Countless Fall Guys of various colors crowded the field, running towards a single door, fearing they would be left behind. This reminded many players of their college days. As freshmen, they didn't even know how to order takeout from the back door; they just went to the cafeteria.

After each class, students from all buildings rushed to the cafeteria. It looked a bit like the current scene!

Those who hadn't been matched, or who were still playing or standing in front of the Nebula Games booth, were filled with joy.

"Haha, I'm dying of laughter! Just now, they pushed a hotdog-head guy!"

"How funny!"

"This physics engine makes these Fall Guys look like elastic rubber!"

"Yeah, and that wall-climbing thing is hilarious."

"No, I want to try it too."

"Let's play as a team!"

"I think teaming up in this game is pretty useless; everyone relies on their own skills."

"Although it's a little useful. There's a team competition later, and if players survive until then, everyone will be on the same side."

"Really? How nice!" The players at the Nebula Games booth, watching Fall Guys on the big screen, couldn't help but pull out their phones and play a match. They were eager to try it!

Meanwhile, at other nearby vendor booths, many players were attracted by the action. Some even found a free spot at one of the other booths, pulled out their phones, and started playing Fall Guys. After all, the Nebula Games booth was packed. This left the staff at the other vendors looking desolate.

Meanwhile, the first level of Fall Guys at Nebula Games also entered a phase of fierce competition. With fewer than ten qualifying spots available, the elimination rounds were about to begin.

"Mike! Go ahead, I'll help you hold back the others!" Tom, who had managed to get matched for this round at the Nebula Games booth, looked at the two hamburger-head Fall Guys beside him and the number representing the last qualifying spot, and finally made a decision.

"Let me go! Let me go! Tom, you're holding me!" As the sinister little hand grabbed one of the Fall Guys, Mike, with his phone in hand nearby, looked desperate, attracting curious glances from the surrounding players.

Someone instantly recognized Mike and Tom; after all, the scene in the Three Kingdoms Tactics area where the Strategist created something out of nothing was still fresh in everyone's memory.

Meanwhile, Alex, who was watching the game, captured that moment on screen and played it on the big screen.

"It was clearly a scene of camaraderie and brotherhood. With only one spot available, teammates wanted to eliminate their competitors to help their friends reach the finish line."

He said with determination: "I will survive with my share!"

"But, unfortunately, he caught a teammate," Alex concluded, noting that both were teammates when the team logo appeared after the elimination screen at the end of the level.

The viewers were equally delighted. This confirmed the saying: "Don't fear divine opponents, fear idiotic teammates!"

Many players' eyes lit up. The previous move seemed to have opened a new door for them! This Fall Guys figure seemed capable of transforming their strategies!

Sarah, standing next to Tom and Mike, looked at them speechless.

"They are truly special!" Sarah was speechless.

Mike remained silent, looking at Tom with resentment.

"Brother, this is mine!" Tom, somewhat embarrassed, took the blame.

As the game progressed, the Nebula Games booth was filled with desperate shouts. Even players who hadn't managed to get matched were encouraged to let loose by the atmosphere. If they were alone, they would have been embarrassed to shout in the presence of so many people. But with everyone else doing the same, the experience was completely different.

The shouts intensified upon reaching the game's special levels: the Bounce Club and the Brick Party. These levels required jumping and dodging obstacles and a spinning wheel that rotated at an ever-increasing speed, while the available space shrank. This caused countless casualties. Players who discovered unique tricks would pounce on other players and grab them when they couldn't avoid it. In an instant, the Fall Guys transformed into door-like humans.

"Great!"

"Great!"

Next to Sarah, Tom and Mike transformed into cheerleaders.

At that moment, Sarah had narrowly advanced to the final level, called "Hex-A-Gone." She admitted she was a little nervous. This level was not difficult to understand according to the instructions. The floor disappeared wherever the player stepped and fell to the next level. Not counting the starting position, there were eight levels. Skipping a step on the eighth level made the player fall into the slime below. Players who fell into the slime were eliminated. Therefore, the goal was to stay on the ground as long as possible. Once all other players were eliminated, they won the match.

In short, the goal was to outlast everyone else and win.

"I can't get together with other players or they'll step on my tiles!" Sarah concluded.

After all, this level perfectly exemplified the saying: "If you walk on someone's path, they won't have anywhere to go."

However, Sarah soon discovered a trick: the path disappeared too quickly when walking. But if she jumped to increase her airtime, couldn't she take two steps at once?

At that moment, Alex, who was commentating, also noticed this detail.

"That Hotdog Gummy guy seems to be up to no good! That's right! He's approaching the Pineapple Head Gummy guy! His sinister little hand extends."

"The two are at a stalemate and start to fall! Oops, everyone eliminated!"

"Let's look at the other players. Hmm, that Pink Gummy guy is very creative!"

"He's jumping to slow his fall. Since there's a pause in the air when jumping, theoretically, it's much slower than other players who just walk."

"It seems this pink player isn't very familiar with the controls. He made a mistake! He fell flat on his face and landed right on the last floor!" Alex explained.

Next to Sarah, Chloe, who had just left the game with headphones on, happened to hear Alex's commentary. Seeing a pink character on the LCD screen miss a jump and fall three floors in a row into the slime at the end was cause for amusement.

"Haha, the one in pink is an idiot! Dancing like that! Hey, what are you looking at!" Chloe was stunned to see Tom and Mike, one looking at the ceiling of the venue and the other at the floor.

"The pink idiot you're talking about is me!" Sarah said expressionlessly.

Chloe: ... ...

On stage, Alex didn't plan to comment the whole time. It was enough for him to come out on the first two days of the exhibition to liven up the audience and maximize the game's popularity.

After handing the microphone to the streamer, Alex looked at the excited players in the exhibition area and smiled with satisfaction.

He was very satisfied with the performance of the Fall Guys and Three Kingdoms Tactics players. Obviously, these two games are not that impressive. But at least for now, they have attracted the attention of countless players.

And this is just the beginning of the exhibition!
