In the depths of the cosmos, the flow of cosmic energy breathed life into seven ancient beings, the Seven Light Monarchs. They were reflections of the fragmented soul of the Ancient Light, Aurion, the purest and most powerful force in the universe. At the pinnacle of this hierarchy stood A-The Apex, also known as Solareth, who harbored infinite power in every particle of his being. Solareth held a weight above all other Monarchs, much like the right hand of an ancient king, representing the will of Aurion.
Just below him were five Monarchs, each known for their unique power. C-The Chains, Lunara, could bind the universal laws with her mighty chains. E-The Eclipse, Caelion, could merge light and shadow to create the most terrifying illusions. M-The Maw, Thyrael, the embodiment of speed and destruction, would devour the souls of his opponents in every conflict. R-Revenant, Seraphis, could raise the dead to form armies, while T-Tempest, Elyndra, could control storms and hurricanes at her will.
However, the most notable of these seven beings was the last to be born and the one whose power was the most incomprehensible: V-The Void, Valorian. While the other Monarchs were the concrete forms of a specific power, Valorian's power was that of nothingness, of the void itself. He could create nonexistence and turn what was into nothing. This power set him apart from the other Light Monarchs, even causing some anxiety among them.
These mighty Monarchs, under Aurion's command, had waged epic wars for ages against the Pure Dark Monarchs and their fearsome leader, Oblivor. These wars had shaken the very fabric of the universe and brought an end to countless star systems. But one day, Aurion's power was shattered by the Dark Monarchs, and he was sealed off, unable to directly influence the universe.
Aurion's existence was now restricted. To regain his power and end the eternal war with darkness, he had to find an heir. To this end, Aurion made a secret pact with Aetheryon, the master of ancient knowledge and magic. The agreement was that Aetheryon would slowly transfer Aurion's power to an heir, training them to become the Last Knight of the Light.
Aurion's two loyal guardians, masters of the sword and strategy, Ser Armand Valerius and Draven Crowhurst, had been observing potential heirs for a long time. They scoured every corner of the universe, searching for that special person who could carry Aurion's legacy. All these efforts were to culminate with the existence of Omer Jin Hoo. However, Aetheryon's voice cruelly roared the truth to Omer: "You cannot be his heir." These words were the harbinger of a sudden, unexpected twist of fate.
Tossed aside by a brutal blow, Omer Jin Hoo, on the verge of losing consciousness, found himself in a familiar place. The shape of the stones and shadows around him were etched into his soul. This was the ancient dungeon where he first encountered the "System" and fought to his last breath against the Elf Commander Galadriel. On every stone, traces of an ancient civilization lay, and hieroglyphs reminiscent of ancient Egyptian tablets glowed. In his last moments of consciousness, the silhouette of a massive, divine statue appeared before his eyes. At the time, he thought it was just a pile of stones. But now, the statue's lips parted softly, and a resonating, ancient voice filled the entire dungeon."You cannot be the Ancient Light. You cannot overcome the darkness," the voice said, piercing Omer's wounded soul. "So you will die here now in despair."
The great statue came to life, glowing with a dazzling light. Its body of stone and marble took on a more magnificent form with two colossal, winged appendages that suddenly emerged from its back. This was none other than the Ancient Sorcerer Aetheryon. Aetheryon extended his hand toward Omer and attacked. But Omer's most loyal generals, the Red Dragon Antaios and the shadow warrior Neroth, did not hesitate for a moment to move to protect their master.
Antaios flapped his massive wings, moving at the speed of light to get behind Aetheryon and unleashed a river of lava from his mouth, trying to melt the magical being's armor. At the same time, the terrifyingly large knight Ignarion and Neroth launched a joint attack. Neroth's deadly claws sank into the statue's right eye, creating a deep crack. Meanwhile, the ascended sorcerer Sigrun and the warrior Morvarth combined their powers to launch an attack they called the "United Circle of Death." The attack shattered the dungeon's ancient walls and pillars, turning the area into a pile of rubble. For the final blow, the master swordsmen Clairael, Vidal, and the archer Baran rushed forward. The energy released was so immense that the entire dungeon shook violently.
But when the cloud of smoke cleared, it became apparent that all the attacks had been in vain. The Sorcerer Aetheryon stood upright without a single scratch on him. A sword radiating Ancient Light in his hand dazzled all the generals. With a single motion, he sliced Antaios and Ignarion in half. He then used a telekinetic power he called "Emperor's Decree" to hurl Morvarth and Baran to the left and right, neutralizing them.
The remaining Neroth, Clairael, and Vidal gathered all their strength for a final attack. But this, too, was useless. They were also severely wounded and fell to the ground. As he watched all his generals fall one by one before his eyes, a digital screen suddenly appeared in Omer Jin Hoo's mind:
(WARNING: The Ancient Sorcerer Aetheryon is absorbing the Player's Mana)
And at that very moment, a terrifying flow of energy began to pour out of Omer's body. This energy flowed toward Aetheryon like a river, draining every last bit of his being. Omer Jin Hoo, in despair, screamed in unbearable pain. He had been told he could not be the heir because perhaps he was already a part of its power, and now that power was returning to where it belonged
As Omer Jin Hoo's agonized screams echoed in the depths of his soul, chaos reigned on South Korea's Jindo Island. Chrysalith, who had appeared with three generals a short while ago, had lost his two most powerful commanders. The sole remaining general, Raven, and the unending swarms of Ant Soldiers had turned the concert area into a battlefield, trying to break humanity's last stand. From the rifts in the sky, countless ant soldiers continued to pour out like a waterfall.
But amidst this hellish scene, a divine beam of light appeared, shimmering in the sky. The light wasn't descending toward the ground; rather, it was drawing all attention toward itself. Chrysalith noticed this strange anomaly and, with a smirk, looked up. He quickly handed over command of the battlefield to Raven, flapped his massive wings, and ascended toward the sky. As he approached the beam of light, he saw that there was no one there. That is, until a divine-like being with four wings and radiating golden light suddenly appeared.
This was none other than one of the Seven Light Monarchs, Valorian.
Valorian approached Chrysalith and grabbed his head with one hand. Chrysalith tried to resist, but Valorian's power was beyond anything he could have imagined. In a matter of seconds, the two beings burst through the atmosphere and were hurtled into the cold vacuum of space. The people and hunters on Jindo Island watched the bright dot in the sky in horror, far from understanding what was happening. After passing even the Moon, Valorian swung his Ancient Light-radiating sword and dealt a terrible blow to Chrysalith. The force of this blow sent Chrysalith hurtling like a meteor toward Mars's moon, Phobos.
The impact of the collision was so immense that fragments of rock from Phobos were sent scattering into space, and this colossal energy wave affected even Earth, despite occurring near Mars. Earth's magnetic field was temporarily disrupted, and NASA and SpaceX's orbiting satellites were rendered completely useless. All data-measuring devices malfunctioned, and the flow of data to the American Hunters Association was completely cut off. The Control Department could no longer receive energy data from Jindo Island.
Following this development, the World Hunters Committee held an emergency meeting. Understanding the seriousness of this mysterious event, they decided to mobilize. It was resolved that all S-rank hunters would be sent to Jindo Island. At the same time, NASA also began investigating the mysterious explosion on Mars, but it was understood that the earliest data would not reach Earth for another seven months.
While all this was happening, a bloodied Chrysalith lay on the rocky surface of Phobos. Above him, Valorian, gleaming with Ancient Light, slowly descended. Chrysalith turned his bloody eyes toward him and spoke in a weak voice:
"Valorian, one of the Seven Light Monarchs... so you've finally returned."
Valorian's voice pierced the silence of space: "Right hand of Morthis, one of the Seven Dark Monarchs. Your end will come here now. You will not lay a hand on Omer Jin Hoo."
And he pointed the Ancient Light-radiating sword in his hand toward Chrysalith
