Chapter 6 - Side story: Tachibana Serena 2

[Serena's pov]

After I finish washing, I begin to put on my casual clothes, which consist of a deep blue summer dress and black shoes.

'Hmm… I'll probably need new bras soon.'

As I fasten my bra, I realize that my chest has grown again.

One thing that has always troubled both my sister and me is the size of our breasts. Ever since we were teenagers, they've been growing at a rapid rate.

This is due to the genes we inherited from our mother. While we got our black hair and facial features from our father, we inherited our eye color and breast size from our mother.

While most people think having big breasts is an advantage, in reality it often feels like a disadvantage. At school, the boys' eyes were always fixed on my chest, their gazes full of perverted thoughts, while the girls looked at me with jealousy.

So for me, going to school and facing this situation every day was difficult.

But that's all in the past now. Hopefully, I won't have to face the same situation at university.

Just as I'm lost in thought, a knock on the bathroom door brings me back to reality.

"My lady, have you finished?"

From behind the bathroom door, Cecilia's voice calls out, asking if I'm done.

"I'll be ready in five minutes. Is something the matter?"

I answer her question and then ask her one in return.

"Yes, your mother requires your presence in the dining room as soon as possible."

"Alright… I'll be there."

After telling her that, I finish putting on the rest of my clothes and glance in the mirror to check if anything about my appearance needs fixing.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I see my usual appearance, perfectly as it should be. Long black hair, silver eyes, a tall, fit body, and curves in all the right places, this is my everyday self.

After I finish getting dressed, I head downstairs to the dining room for breakfast.

After I finish dressing, I head downstairs to the dining room for breakfast. As I enter, I see the usual morning scene: my mother eating breakfast while reading the newspaper.

The house, the country, and the number of people in the room may change, but some things never do.

As I think about all this, my mother notices me and greets me with that familiar smile all mothers seem to have.

"Good morning, sweetheart! Did you sleep well?"

My mother, Tachibana Ifigenia, is the smartest and most beautiful person I have ever known. Her long chestnut hair falls effortlessly over her shoulders, and her silver eyes, the same ones my sister and I inherited, always seem calm and observant. The warmth of her presence carries an elegance that doesn't try to impress, yet somehow outshines even professional models.

But what truly makes her stand out is not her beauty, but her mind. When my father passed away, she took over his company, and despite the challenges, she not only kept it running but even managed to develop it further.

She developed it so successfully that the company's influence has expanded beyond Japan, with branches opening overseas.

One of the reasons we're in Greece is that my mother is establishing a branch of her company here.

She could definitely delegate the task to someone else, but since my mother is from Greece, she can develop the branch much faster than anyone else.

While I think about all this, I take a seat at the table. Once I'm seated, I return her greeting as usual.

"Good morning, Mother. Yes, I slept well… loosely."

After I answer her, she asks me another question.

"Good, are you ready for today?"

When I hear the question, my expression darkens. My mother notices and begins to speak in a gentle, caring tone.

"Listen, Serena, I know the recent changes aren't easy. If I were in your shoes, I would feel the same way. But believe me, whatever decisions I make, I never make them lightly. I always prioritize the happiness and the safety of both you and your sister. Unfortunately, circumstances forced us to move to Greece, and forced you to change your life, but…."

"Mom, what do you want to tell me?"

Before she can continue her long speech, I stop her, urging her to get to the point.

"What I want to tell you or rather ask you, is to do your best to adapt to these changes and start building your life here. I know I'm asking a lot, but promise me you'll at least try, okay?"

When she's done talking, my mother gives me that sad puppy look she always uses when she wants to ask something from me or my sister.

After a moment of silence, I answer my mother with a heavy sigh.

"Okay, I promise I'll try."

When my mom hears my answer, her expression changes instantly, from a sad, puppy-like look to a bright, happy smile and she says.

"Good. I asked one of the professors at the university to help you get things organized."

Whenever I see that change, it usually gets on my nerves. But this time, something piques my curiosity, so I ask her about it.

"Who is that person?"

When I ask, she answers with enthusiasm.

"She's an old friend of mine. We were students at the same school, and later we ended up at the same university. She's a very good person, trust me."

As I hear her say this, I start to have my doubts, but my mother rarely misjudges people. Besides, I don't have anyone else I can rely on at the university right now, so her friend is the best help I can get for this particular situation.

As I think about this, I speak to my mother.

""Okay, Mom, I trust you."

"Alright, enough chit-chat. Let's eat."

As she says that with a smile, we start eating breakfast.

During breakfast, I'm absent-minded, still thinking about what she told me earlier.

And before I know it, I'm pretty much done with breakfast.

After finishing breakfast, I chatted with my mother about little things. I asked her about her work at the company today and about the city of Argyropetra, where we recently moved.

But time passes quickly, and it's already time to leave for university.

In Japan, I used to get around the city by train or by bicycle.

Even though we have the financial means to travel in a luxury car with a chauffeur, I choose not to. In Japan, getting around by public transportation is much faster than going by car.

However, here in Greece, I have to go to the university by car for now, until I learn the route.

When I step outside the mansion, the car is already waiting to pick me up, along with the chauffeur and my personal butler, Stefanie.

The car that takes me to the university is a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600. My family owns a collection of cars like this, but to me, it hardly feels special, it's just the way we live.

As soon as they see me, they greet me, as they do every morning.

"good morning, miss"

"Good morning, young miss, we are ready to go."

After they greet me, I return their greetings in my usual tone.

"Good morning both of you, shall we go?"

Stefanie answers me in her usual strict, military tone.

"Yes, by your command."

After that, we get into the car, and the chauffeur starts driving toward the university.

The university is located on top of a hill, where the western and northern areas of Argyropetra meet.

The city of Argyropetra has a strange layout, unlike any city I've known.

The city is divided into five areas, each with its own unique character.

My mother explains that the city used to be much smaller. But after the mine opened, it brought in a huge income. With that wealth, many people moved to Argyropetra, and since space was limited, the city had to expand, creating this unique situation.

"Young miss, young miss."

As these thoughts run through my mind, Stefanie's voice calls out to me.

"Young miss, are you listening to me?."

When she asks me that, I answer in an apologetic tone.

"Sorry, I was daydreaming. What were you telling me?"

I ask, in a little embarrassing tone.

Seeing me like this, Stefanie frowns and lets out a sigh.

"I was going over today's schedule. After you finish your lessons at the university, you have Greek lessons, followed by piano practice. Then you'll need to attend the party the mayor of Argyropetra is organizing to meet the children of the city's high society."

Just hearing today's schedule tires me out, and I can't help but ask Stefanie.

"Do I really have to go to the Galp?"

I ask, hoping to avoid it.

Hearing my question, Stefanie becomes more serious than usual, her voice firm as she speaks to me:

"Yes, you have to go. You promised the mistress that you would try to integrate more with the outside world of Argyropetra, didn't you?"

When I hear this, I curse the time and moment I made this promise to my mother, as well as the maid's information network.

'Curses… Cecilia must be the one who have spilled the news to Stefanie about my promise to Mom.'

The maids' information network is like a spy network within the mansion. The maids collect information about everyone in the house and report it either to my mother or to the first and second butlers.

Stefanie is the second butler in line, responsible for everything concerning me, from managing my schedule to deciding what I'll have for lunch.

Although she is approaching thirty, she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. Her long green hair shines like emerald, her deep blue eyes gleam like sapphire, and her figure, though it cannot compare to my mother's, still holds its own and despite all this, she is still single, and given her character, I doubt she is seeing anyone.

Lost in thought, I watch as the car finally arrives at the university.

When I get out of the car, I say goodbye to Stefanie and the chauffeur.

"OK, see you later."

"Goodbye, miss."

"See you later, young miss."

After they leave, I make my way to the entrance of the university campus. But just as I'm about to pass through, I hear someone say something.

"L-Look out "

"Hmm?, whaa?!"

Before I can even realize what's happening, the person who shouted at me collides with me, and the shock of the impact sends me falling backward to the ground.

A few moments after I fell to the ground, I felt someone touching my breast. I snapped back to reality and saw the guy who had collided with me groping my breasts with one hand while his head was between my legs, staring directly at my panties and my private parts.

Seeing this, I immediately screamed and kicked the person who had collided with me in the face.

After I kicked him, I covered my breasts and started becoming wary of everyone around me.

As I do that, the person I kicked comes to his senses. I didn't kick him too hard, I didn't want to hurt him, but that doesn't mean I can forgive him for what he did.

When he looks at me, I glare back at him with pure hatred.

But as I look at him, I notice something familiar, especially his gentle gaze, which definitely doesn't belong to someone perverted.

'Did I meet him somewhere before? No, I don't think so. I would remember if I knew him.

But wait… the boy who helped me back then has the same features as this person: short brown hair, expressive brown eyes, and a chubby build. But it can't be him, right?'

As I think about all this, he begins to apologize to me.

"H-hi… I-I'm really sorry about this… incident. My name is Stathis…"

While he speaks, it hits me, the voice, the way he talks, it's definitely him. Although it sounds slightly different from before, there's no mistaking it.

The realization hits me like a punch. Seeing what he's become, I refuse to listen to another word from this 'fake person' and shout at him.

"You pervert! Stay away from me!!!"

I get up from the ground and run toward one of the university buildings.

While I'm running, I think.

I never imagined my first day at university would go like this. I expected to make friends, to meet new people… not to be grabbed by the first pervert I encountered and, of all people, to discover he's the same boy who once saved me. I feel so disappointed. I wish I'd stayed in Japan.

"Ouch."

As I run away, I end up colliding with someone, again.

"Hey, little girl, you need to be more careful where you're going."

When I hear the voice, I realize that the person I just collided with is a woman, around forty years old. She has long, curly brownish-blond hair, amber eyes, and a tall, curvy figure, just like my mother.

As I think this, I apologize to her for what happened.

"I-I'm s-sorry… I wasn't looking where I was going."

As I say that, I'm about to leave when the woman suddenly stops me.

"Wait… black hair, silver eyes… are you the daughter of Tachibana Ifigenia, Serena?"

When I hear this, I stop immediately and ask her.

"H-How do you know my name…? W-Who are you?"

When I ask this question suspiciously, she smiles at me and replies.

"I know who you are because I've known your mother since we were children. I met you and your sister when you were babies. My name is Christina Karagianni, and I am one of your mother's best friends and also the new vice rector of this university. "

And just like that, my life at the university begins.
