'Only three days left until I can get my second potential customer. Might as well appraise those weapons for sale in the shop so I have some system coins reserved to save the contact.' I thought seriously.
For large items like this I needed to fully open up my inventory which was risky but an unfortunate fact of life. The white screen appeared in mid air and I casually reached through the transparent film and into the space to grab each of these weapons one after the other. The first and second were both katana style swords while the third was actually a blade tipped whip.

My eyebrow couldn't help but twitch as I compared the first two weapons inspirations. Both of the weapons were more or less inspired by the same thing, just different aspects of it.-
The whip on the other hand while inspired by something rather mundane was at least crafted in an interesting way as it used the tendons of a Sea king for strength and flexibility while having a bladed tip for lethal damage. Each of them were decent weapons that had been taken care of as their condition stated. I chose to sell the second sword and whip to my shop while reserving the first sword as merchandise that went back in my inventory. With that done I now had seven thousand system coins to my name and chose to see what that could get me from the shop.-
A lot, the answer was a lot of things. I wasn't after just any old stuff though as I was specifically after stuff that I couldn't get with money this time. That meant treasures, skills and abilities in particular. For treasures I found that most enchanted things regardless of complexity or power counted which I noted mentally for later deals. While this category had a few things of interest most of it was frankly things I could get with money and the few I probably couldn't were out of my price range anyways which made sense.-
Skills and Abilities however were where things got complicated. The lowest valued skill was listed at a thousand points and the more useful or hard to obtain the skills were the higher that price jumped. Appraisal, extraction and speed reading were valued at ten thousand for the first two and one thousand five hundred for the last. One thing I noted was that my theory about my magic practice earning a skill eventually was correct to a degree. At a price of twenty five thousand sat a skill labeled "condensation" that had a description that sounded suspiciously like my practice.-
According to the description the skill worked to focus the magic within the body thereby making it do more for less through the principle of density. My practice was focusing my magic to react faster which was of course very different than the skill at the moment but fell within it's purview after enough expansion. I easily saw the path I could possibly take to acquire this new skill from my previous training. There was one skill I saw that I didn't hesitate to spend three thousand coins on, Linguist.-
The skill was similar to extraction in that it was a learning skill but in this case it was specifically for language. The skill let me learn and master any language I found very fast with proper materials and even let me decipher languages without a known translation if I understood a similar enough language. Considering the sheer volume of magical tomes written in dead tongues and incomplete articles this skill was absolutely worth having as soon as possible. It also would allow me to master magic easier as I understand the words that make up a verbal or written spell. The only real downside is I still have to put in the effort to learn the languages that would serve as my foundation first. -
Onto the category of abilities much like skills the price of these things was extremely high for even the cheapest ability sitting at a price tag of ten thousand for the ability telekinesis. According to the description of this ability this was actually the most common ability to exist in the world. The problem was apparently discovering the ability was rather tricky as it needed to awaken first through some sort of intense emotional event or catalyst. -
Magic was priced EXTEREMELY highly at one billion coins which I thought odd until I read the description. Magic IS hereditary through genetics but the more powerful the holder of said ability is the more absolute the chance of the ability passing to their child. I found it rather funny that the pureblood idea was complete bullshit and if anything was likely to slowly kill out it's believers due to genetic mutation from all the inbreeding. Any two magicals whether muggleborn or pureblood coming together would almost always guarantee a magical child since the magical gene would be dominant, no incest needed.
