Every one gazed upon Elysia with sadness. The hall was silent and no one dared to speak. Until there was voice to break the silence.
"Umm... I would like to say something. I think I can heal the Princess's eyes." Zyric speaks from behind, and everyone looks at him in shock and sudden surprise.
King Eldric looks at Zyric. "Who are you, boy and what are you saying? You can do what even our capable Healers cannot?"
King Eldric looks at Zyric with anger, because something so terrible has happened to his daughter--she cannot see with one eye, and on top of that, this boy is standing here making a joke. King Eldric was looking at Zyric with rage, and at that moment, Prince Edward goes to his father and whispers something in his ear.
After which King Eldric says, "So, you are the one who saved Elysia's life and captured that scoundrel, because of whom danger was looming over our daughter's head." He says this while looking at Zyric, and Zyric nods his head.
But the very next moment, the Healers standing next to him start looking at Zyric in anger. "How dare you, boy? You are saying that you can do what we cannot??" the Healer says to Zyric.
"No, no, that's not what I mean. I am not claiming that I am the better Healer of you. I am just a kid right now. What can I do? My sister is a capable Healer. Maybe she can heal her eyes," Zyric says, looking at the Healer.
"Boy, we are not saying that we cannot heal the Princess's eyes at all. It's just that we're short on the herbs and materials needed to heal her eyes," the Healer says to Zyric.
"But it could be that my sister has those things to heal the Princess's eyes. If possible, tomorrow I'll bring the medicine, and if it happens tomorrow, her eyes will be healed tomorrow itself," Zyric says with a smile.
"Tomorrow? Even if the herbs are found, this cannot be healed in less than ten days!" the Healer shouts at Zyric, because now her head was spinning. Zyric was talking such childish nonsense.
But the next moment, a hand lands on Zyric's shoulder, and he immediately turns back to look.
"What happened? Scared? If you are joking here at this time, I forgive you right now. I forgive you because you're the reason Elysia is here today. And if you're joking, then quietly turn around and leave from here, and never show us your face again," King Eldric says, keeping his hand on Zyric's shoulder.
"Why are you saying such things? Don't you want your daughter to get better?" Zyric replies with a smile, and seeing Zyric's confidence, even King Eldric was stunned for a moment.
"Alright, then I am giving you one chance. And, if you fail to make the eyes of my daughter tomorrow, prepare what might follow. Wherever you are, I will find you and kill you. But if you heal my daughter's eyes, I will give you whatever you want in return," King Eldric says to Zyric, and the threat for this nonsense was clear in his response.
After which, Zyric turns and starts going towards Elysia. Everyone is shocked, because there was no one here who had enough courage to even look at Elysia, whereas Zyric goes straight and stands in front of her.
"Excuse me, Healer, could you..." Zyric says, gesturing towards the bandage on Elysia's eyes.
The Healer goes and opens that bandage, and Zyric tells the Healer to open Elysia's eyes.
As soon as the Healer opens Elysia's eyes, Prince Edward, Prince Edgar, and the King all turn away, because they didn't want to see Elysia's condition. It wouldn't feel good at all to them that all this had happened to Elysia in their presence.
Zyric was noting everything, what exactly had happened to Elysia's eyes and what was in them. If Zyric tells all this to his sister, maybe his sister will prepare the medicine for him. Zyric's sister has modern technology. Maybe with that, Elysia's eyes can be healed.
After observing everything, Zyric comes in front of King Eldric, Prince Edward, and Prince Edgar. "Alright, Your Majesty, Princes. Tomorrow, when I come, I'll have the medicine with me," Zyric says with a smile while looking at all three of them.
On the other side, that Healer was making a face while looking at Zyric. Her mood was for sure ruined after seeing Zyric.
After this, Zyric turns and leaves from there.
Following that, the Healer takes Elysia with her. Elysia still had tears of blood streaming down her eyes. Her one eye was fine, but tears of blood still ran out of the other eye which seemed very sore. But Elysia was not feeling her eyes at all, so she knew nothing.
Soon, Princess Elysia and the Healer also leave from there. Prince Edgar immediately comes before his father, who was sitting on his throne.
"Father, what have you done? If by mistake that boy heals Elysia's eyes and asks for Elysia's hand in marriage, then..." Prince Edgar says while looking at his father.
"Do you think I would not have thought of this? But looking at the confidence of that boy, it made me think that he was capable of doing something indeed. And if he actually heals Elysia's eyes, that's exactly what we want. I just want Elysia's eyes to be healed, that's it. As for the rest, if that boy asks for Elysia's hand in marriage, I will chop off his hand that very day. And what else to do with him, you already know. The hall fell silent once again. Only uncertainty remained, waiting for the next day.
