The high-rise apartment was isolated from the clamor and gazes of the outside world.
There was only the gentle and kind-hearted married man, and the predatory female police officer.
Mobius's words made Ye Feng pale with shock.
"Officer Mobius, you really like to joke, don't you…"
Ye Feng lowered his head, avoiding Mobius's scorching gaze.
The curve of Mobius's lips grew even more pronounced.
She felt an excitement she had never experienced before.
No wonder Ye Feng loved to play in his [Simulated Worlds]; it was truly fascinating.
"Now, now, sir, don't be afraid. I was just talking. I won't actually~ eat~ you~ up."
"…The water is boiled. Let me make you a cup of tea."
"No need. You, come here."
Officer Mobius leaned back on the sofa and beckoned to Ye Feng with a finger, her eyes so moist with lust they could have drawn threads.
Ye Feng stood rooted to the spot, caught in a dilemma, not knowing what to do.
His wife wasn't home; it was already inappropriate to host another woman alone.
And Mobius was being particularly aggressive. She said with an air of absolute confidence:
"Mr. Ye Feng, you wouldn't want any accidents to happen with the progress of your wife's case, would you? And that motorcycle license that was revoked last time… you pulled some strings to get it back. That's already a violation, you know."
"Officer Mobius… I entrusted this case to Officer Elysia."
This woman really knows how to add drama for herself.
Mobius crossed her legs, swinging a bewitching, black-stockinged foot. The high heel dangling from her toes was filled with temptation.
She narrowed her eyes and smiled seductively. "Destruction is always easier than creation. I may not be able to help you arrest the criminal, but obstructing you would be child's play. Now, sir, you wouldn't want the fruits of your and your beloved wife's labor to go up in smoke, would you?"
"Eh?"
Ye Feng's expression froze.
Seeing this, Mobius's excitement grew even higher. She patted the sofa next to her.
"Come here, little white mouse. Sit next to me. Only then can we discuss a solution."
Her voice was husky and tingling.
But it was also as dangerous as a top predator's.
And the kind-hearted married man in the room was the prey she had her eyes on.
Pitiful, weak, and helpless.
Ready to be devoured at any moment.
With a conflicted look on his face, Ye Feng walked over and sat down uneasily next to Officer Mobius.
Mobius grabbed Ye Feng's hand. "That's right. Little white mouse, want to do something interesting with me?"
"…Don't do this."
Ye Feng twisted his body away, forcefully pulling his hand from Mobius's grasp.
Mobius licked her lips in excitement and reached out again, her hand roaming over Ye Feng's thigh.
She pressed herself against him like a snake.
"Sir, think of your wife. She's working hard right now for your shared dream. Do you really want to betray her determination?"
"..."
"Come now, little white mouse. Take my hand and join me on this path of evolution~"
"…No, no, I can't do this."
Ye Feng pushed Mobius away and stood up in a panic.
Seeing his rejection, the smile on Mobius's face only deepened.
"Oh? So you like it rough, sir? That's fine too, but… it might hurt a little."
"Officer Mobius, please leave."
Ye Feng walked to the entryway and opened the door.
Mobius threatened, "Hehe, the arrest will be carried out tomorrow night. Are you sure this is a good idea, sir?"
Ye Feng straightened his back, his entire being suddenly radiating vigor and righteousness.
"It doesn't matter if you try to interfere. The worst that can happen is the video gets released. My Big Duck Duck and I, as husband and wife, will not compromise over something like this. Do not underestimate our bond!"
Mobius stood up, swaying her supple waist as she walked over to Ye Feng.
She was the very picture of seduction, her every glance a flirtatious invitation.
She just stood there, looking at the married man before her.
They stared at each other, and the air fell silent.
The two of them had entered a silent standoff.
Ye Feng was the first to break under the intensity of her gaze and the silence. "It's getting late, Officer Mobius. You should be heading back."
Mobius lifted her soft, slender hand and gently tilted Ye Feng's head up.
"Your mouth says one thing, but your body is quite honest, isn't it?"
Ye Feng said, "Don't conflate the two. The body is the body, and 'I' am 'I'. The body reacting instinctively to external stimuli is a law of nature, a fundamental principle of the world. There is not a single shred of shame in it."
"?"
A question mark appeared over Mobius's head.
During the "three trials," that's not what you said to Elysia.
But, it didn't matter.
"The meaning of life is in evolution. And a married man's fall lies in his 'resolve'."
Mobius rose onto her tiptoes, her palm shooting past Ye Feng's ear to brace against the wall behind him. "I will make you beg me to explore the meaning of life."
"..."
"But for today, I'll let you go. The annoying pest has followed me again."
Mobius turned her head. In the open doorway, there was a pink figure.
"I knew it was you, Elysia."
If not for her, Mobius wouldn't have let him off so easily.
She had wanted to try squeezing Ye Feng dry while making him call his wife.
Elysia walked over gracefully, her steps as light and fluid as a dance.
Miss Pink Fairy stared at Ye Feng, as if sizing something up, or perhaps pondering something.
Then, her face broke into a smile, as radiant as a blooming flower.
"Hi, we meet again. I never thought Mr. Ye Feng had a side like this."
Ye Feng let out a sigh of relief as if he'd seen his savior. "Thank goodness… it's Officer Elysia."
"It's me, it's me. Heehee, did you miss me?"
"Tsk."
Mobius retracted her hand, straightened her already-neat collar, and strode toward the elevator.
"Hey, hey? Mobius, you're leaving already?" Elysia called out.
Mobius stopped and turned her head, looking askance at the Pink Fairy.
"This is why I hate you so much, Elysia. Don't you have any self-awareness at all—about how much of a pest you are?"
The elevator arrived. Mobius stepped inside, and the doors slowly closed from both sides. Through the closing gap, her snake-like vertical pupils shone like embers.
"But don't get cocky. The snake will always be lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment for a 'fatal strike'."
Watching Mobius finally leave, Ye Feng completely relaxed.
"Thank you, Officer Elysia. If it weren't for you, I really don't know what would have happened…"
Elysia tilted her head, curiously staring at Ye Feng.
She seemed to be confirming something.
Then, she tapped her fist into her open palm.
"Rest assured, whenever and wherever, Elysia will always answer your expectations ♪"
