Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan!

Seeing these words, Ryūsei felt as if he had taken a sip of ice-cold cola on a scorching summer day—his entire body was instantly refreshed, and goosebumps rose on his skin.

Not even when the game system first awakened and granted him Asura's chakra had he felt this way.

Back then, Ryūsei had only felt excitement and fear, unsure whether the Asura chakra he obtained carried any hidden schemes from the Sage of Six Paths.

But now, having clarified everything, the sight of the Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan filled him with pure ecstasy.

As everyone knew, the world of Naruto could also be called The Legend of the Five Villages' Eye Battles.

Rather than being a world where bloodlines reigned supreme, it was more accurate to say it was a world ruled by ocular jutsu.

The evolution path of the Sharingan was the best definition of a ninja's strength level.

- One Tomoe: Genin-level

- Two Tomoe: Chūnin-level

- Three Tomoe: Jōnin-level

- Mangekyō Sharingan: Kage-level

- Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan: Above Kage-level

- Rinnegan: Six Paths-level

Mastering the Sharingan at any of these stages meant standing at the pinnacle of that rank.

The best examples were Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Madara.

Both had developed their Mangekyō and Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan to the absolute limit, making them veritable bugs of their respective tiers.

Moreover, the Sharingan and Rinnegan possessed a variety of abilities, granting immediate and overwhelming combat power.

Ryūsei had always wanted to obtain Indra's chakra from Sasuke—something on par with Asura's chakra—so that his potential could reach the Six Paths level.

Unfortunately, he had never succeeded.

But now, obtaining the Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan was already enough to satisfy him.

Once he evolved his Sharingan to the Mangekyō level, it would never go blind—becoming an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

This was because Ryūsei possessed Asura's chakra, inheriting the Sage's physical body. His ocular power consumption was minimal, and his recovery speed was even more astonishing than Uchiha Obito's, whose body was half-composed of Hashirama's cells.

Even if he remained unlucky and never obtained Indra's chakra from Sasuke, Ryūsei could still follow Madara's method—implanting Sasuke's cells into his own body and waiting a few decades to awaken the Rinnegan.

The mere thought of this made Ryūsei eager to fuse the Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan immediately.

However, a sliver of rationality held him back, making him impatient to finish the exam as quickly as possible.

---

Over half an hour later, the free-for-all sparring finally concluded.

The female teacher continued healing the injured students, while Iruka tallied the scores for Ryūsei and the others.

The winners all received full marks, while the losers were graded based on their performance—some got low scores, others higher ones.

Once the injured students recovered, Ryūsei and his classmates faced the final round of assessment: Survival Training.

Just like in their first year, the fifth-year survival exercise was a game of hide-and-seek.

But unlike back then, when they only knew the Transformation Jutsu, the fifth-years had now mastered all the basic techniques.

If they were skilled enough, they could use the Three Basic Jutsu and the Body Flicker Technique to evade Iruka. As long as they weren't caught within the time limit, they would earn full marks.

Similarly, unlike the first year when Iruka went easy on them, he would now take the exercise seriously.

Of course, if a student's disguise or evasion wasn't too clumsy, Iruka would still show some leniency.

Naturally, Ryūsei aced this round as well.

By the time the survival exercise scores were announced, the sun had long set, leaving only a faint afterglow in the sky.

After parting ways with Ino and the other two girls—promising to train together tomorrow—Ryūsei didn't head straight home. Instead, he stopped by a shop to purchase a pair of colored contact lenses.

This world did have colored contacts—after all, in the original series, Kakashi once used them when disguising himself without his mask.

Over the years, Ryūsei had always wanted to obtain Hinata's Byakugan or Sasuke's Sharingan.

But these two dōjutsu were among the Three Great Eye Techniques, their fame in the shinobi world even surpassing the legendary Rinnegan. They were household names.

If Ryūsei ever awakened either of them, he absolutely could not reveal them in Konoha.

After all, he was just a civilian orphan.

If exposed, unless the Third Hokage personally protected him, Danzō would undoubtedly come knocking on his door immediately.

And even if Danzō didn't, Hiashi Hyūga would.

But the thought of hiding such powerful dōjutsu and never using them was unbearable for Ryūsei.

So, from a very young age, he had been considering solutions.

Currently, there were two methods:

1. Wearing sunglasses since childhood—While this would seem a bit odd, it wouldn't make him stand out too much. Aside from the Aburame clan, many people in Konoha wore sunglasses, such as Ebisu, Konohamaru's teacher and a Tokubetsu Jōnin.

2. Colored contacts—After exploring various shops, Ryūsei discovered that Konoha did sell colored contacts, so he abandoned the sunglasses idea.

Compared to contacts, sunglasses weren't safe enough.

If he got into a fight and his glasses shattered, Ryūsei would either have to kill every witness or suppress his dōjutsu.

Thus, Ryūsei decisively chose colored contacts.

---

Returning home, Ryūsei hurried to the bathroom, standing before the mirror as he summoned the virtual interface and selected Fuse [Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan].

The red light transformed into a beam, flying out of the inventory and merging into his body.

And then…

Nothing happened.

Just like when he fused Asura's chakra, Ryūsei's body showed no visible changes.

In fact, it was even less noticeable than before.

After fusing Asura's chakra, at least his chakra reserves had expanded—going from a child's weak stream to a fully opened faucet.

But with the Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan, neither his appearance nor his internal energy showed any difference.

The expected black tomoe did not appear in his striking red eyes.

Ryūsei stood frozen for a moment before snapping back to reality.

Soon, he understood the reason.

Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan…

This description made it clear—what he had obtained wasn't Sasuke's Sharingan, but the Uchiha clan's bloodline limit itself.

A Kekkei Genkai was an innate ability that required awakening before it could be used.

Realizing this, Ryūsei immediately reopened his status panel.

Under the Kekkei Genkai section, which had previously been blank, there were now three words:

[Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan]

That's right—only the Sharingan.

The Sage's Body was not classified as a Kekkei Genkai.

The fact that his Sharingan needed to be awakened was actually good news for Ryūsei.

It meant that once his Sharingan evolved to the Mangekyō level, its unique abilities wouldn't be the same as Sasuke's. Instead, they would develop into something entirely his own!

The mere thought of this filled Ryūsei with anticipation for the future.

The Sage's Body provided unparalleled endurance, while the Sharingan granted immediate combat prowess…

His current potential had already reached the level above Kage.
