After descending Changbai Mountain, Aurora and F4 entered the luxurious restaurant on the mountainside, the sunlight shining through the glass windows, reflecting on the white snow outside.
Aurora (giggled): "You know, I made a snowball bigger than my head!"
Blacke (smiled, eyes warm): "Kid… you always make things fun."
Zane (teasing, leaning over to look at Aurora): "It's like you want to turn the entire Changbai Mountain into your own playground?"
Aurora just smiled, her eyes sparkling, her cheeks flushed from the cold wind.
Suddenly the restaurant door opened, F3 Jenden, Liam, Marcus led the young ladies Xiao-Yu, Min Qian, Li Xia, Chen Yuling, Zhao Feilay, Tiffany Wei. The atmosphere immediately changed. The young ladies whispered, their eyes glued to Aurora and F4, their faces red with jealousy.
Knox (looking at Xiao-Yu, voice soft but sharp): "Remember the other day?"
Xiao-Yu shivered, eyes immediately averted, as if reminded of an unpleasant memory.
Jenden stepped forward, smiling provocatively, placing his hand on Aurora's shoulder in a close and provocative manner:
Jenden: "What a coincidence to meet you here… didn't expect it to be at the same time."
Easton (eyes cold as knives, serious): "Put your hand down now."
Aurora looked up, smiling slightly, mischievous and cheerful:
Aurora: "Oh, Jenden, don't you know basic etiquette? I think we should keep our distance."
Jenden froze, embarrassed but still tried to keep his composure.
Mascur stepped forward, intending to pat Aurora's head. But Aurora was quick-witted, raising her hand to block him:
Aurora: "You're so rude, Mascur. Don't touch my head like that."
The young ladies gasped, their eyes filled with envy, whispering:
Xiao-Yu (whispering to Min Qian): "She… definitely has a sixth sense, she knows what we're thinking at a glance."
The atmosphere in the restaurant became stifling. F3 and the Shanghai young ladies seemed to want to take all the attention, whispering and showing off.
Xiao-Yu leaned her hands on the table, looking at Aurora with a scrutinizing gaze:
"I don't understand how you got to sit at this table… You really climbed high."
Aurora slightly curled her lips, sneering:
"I didn't climb. You're just not high enough to reach."
Min Qian snorted lightly, her voice bitter:
"This girl is really rude, talking like that in front of us?"
Aurora turned the glass of water in her hand, calmly:
"Well… you guys talk like trash, so I'll just answer to match the tone."
The whole table of ladies was stunned, everyone's faces red.
Jenden frowned, interjecting to regain his composure:
"Aurora, do you really think you're different? You're just taking advantage of F4's attention."
Aurora looked up, her green eyes sparkling but cold:
"If I wanted to take advantage, I wouldn't need to waste time listening to your empty, confident voices."
Marcus frowned, about to growl when Liam patted his shoulder to stop him, but still said a provocative sentence:
"This girl really knows how to make others hate and love her."
Aurora giggled, resting her chin on her hand:
"Hate or jealousy are also your feelings. I'm still sitting here, leisurely, without losing anything."
The atmosphere was so tense that a few nearby diners secretly glanced over.
Blacke then sneered, his eyes half amused and half provocative:
"That's right, one of our people, holding the whole table by himself, and still leisurely like he's drinking afternoon tea."
Knox curled his lips, looking at F3 and the young ladies:
"This scene... is like a few wild cats growling at a lion."
Zane crossed his arms, half-smiling:
"You guys have been bothering too much. But it seems like the kid still has more than enough energy to play with you guys."
Easton was stern, his voice like a cold knife:
"Next time, if you keep your distance, you'll still have a place to sit. If not, you'll just be humiliating yourself."
Aurora tilted her head slightly, smiling mischievously, her voice clear but cold:
"Did you hear? I don't need to open my mouth much, F4 has said it all for me."
The young ladies of Shanghai turned purple in the face, and F3 was awkward, unable to refute. F4's sneering laughter rang out, full of sarcasm, filling the restaurant with a bitter yet extremely seductive atmosphere.
---
Aurora and F4 finished eating, she stood up, smiled and turned to F3 and the Shanghai ladies:
Aurora (sweet and sarcastic voice):
"Poor thing, haven't you eaten yet? You must be hungry. We're done eating… goodbye."
The ladies pursed their lips, speechless, their faces red with anger. F3 just silently looked at Aurora with greedy eyes, as if wanting to swallow her whole.
Outside, the pale winter sunlight shone down on the snow-covered road. F4 walked while turning to Aurora:
Knox (smiling lightly, patting Aurora's head):
"The little girl was so smart just now, making them speechless with anger."
Aurora (puffing her cheeks, glaring):
"I'm not a little girl! But… thank you."
While walking, Aurora suddenly stopped. At the corner near the souvenir shop, a skinny, blood-stained direwolf was shivering, huddled against the wall. Its icy blue eyes were filled with pain.
Aurora pursed her lips and turned to F4:
"You guys go in the car first, I have something to do."
Zane crossed his arms and raised his eyebrows:
"No, come with me."
Aurora (frowning, serious voice):
"You guys said you would respect my privacy."
The four of them glanced at each other, and finally Easton sighed:
"Okay, you win."
Aurora immediately looked around, making sure no one noticed, then quickly ran towards the direwolf. She knelt down, placed her hand on the wound, and whispered a spell. A green light radiated from her palm, gently enveloping the beast. The wound gradually closed, its smooth white fur returned, and its wolf eyes shone with gratitude.
But at that moment
F4 came from behind, just in time to see Aurora pull her hand back.
Blacke (cold, suspicious):
"Why are you approaching a wild direwolf?"
Aurora was startled, confused, her eyes widened:
"Ah… you know, I… I just love animals. I want to keep a pet, I think a direwolf is suitable."
Easton (calm):
"If you want, take it."
Aurora (glaring, slightly scolding):
"Are you crazy? Never!"
Knox raised his eyebrows:
"I just said I wanted to keep a direwolf."
Aurora sneered, crossed her arms:
"I want to keep a dog or cat."
F4 laughed briefly, no one blamed her further.
Blacke (smiling, voice softened):
"Okay. When we get back to America, we'll go to the pet store."
Aurora (pouting, shaking her head):
"I want to buy it myself. I'm not with you guys."
F4 all shrugged, giving in:
"Okay, I'll do it all for you."
The moment seemed peaceful, Blacke suddenly spoke up, his voice low, as if interrupting:
"Hey… what was that green light just now?"
Aurora was stunned, her heart pounding. She forced a smile, trying to avoid:
"Ah… you must have seen wrong. It's not like that."
F4 glanced at each other, then Blacke squinted, but Easton patted his shoulder, softly:
"Maybe we're all seeing things. Let's go."
Aurora breathed a sigh of relief, burst out laughing, deliberately distracting:
"Yeah, let's go home together!"
Inside, she screamed "Luckily…"
---
The group walked towards the car. But… from afar, through the cafe window, F3 and the Shanghai ladies just in time to see the green light coming from Aurora.
Min Qian (whispering, doubtful):
"Did you see? That light… came from her hand."
Li Xia (hesitant):
"Maybe it's just an illusion…"
Xiao-Yu (pursing her lips, cold eyes):
"No. I'm sure. Aurora… isn't as simple as it looks."
On the black Rolls Royce Phantom, the snow outside was faintly reflected through the glass. The space inside the car was silent, only the sound of the engine was left.
Blacke and Easton sat still, their eyes unconsciously observing Aurora, clearly still doubtful after the "green light" incident just now.
Aurora propped her chin on her hand, her eyes dreamily looking out, as if searching for a certain figure. In her mind, the image of the skinny direwolf still hadn't faded.
Knox (breaking the silence, half-jokingly):
"You like animals that much?"
Aurora (turning, smiling slightly):
"Yeah, I want to raise one. But it probably won't be a direwolf."
Zane (smirking, leaning on the door):
"What a coincidence. We're also planning to raise a pet."
Aurora (surprised, eyes lit up):
"What a thing?"
Knox (leaning back, mysteriously):
"If I say it now, it'll ruin the fun."
Aurora glared, then turned away, smiled crookedly, and leaned indifferently against the window.
The atmosphere seemed comfortable, suddenly Easton spoke, his voice low as if unintentionally but intentionally:
"Have you heard the news? In the Amazon forest, recently appeared many species of trees and flowers that science has never recorded. The world press is connecting to… an old legend of Luneva."
Aurora heard those two words, her hand trembled slightly, but she still kept smiling.
Aurora (pretending to be curious, hiding her anxiety):
"Amazon? Sounds good. I want to go there once."
F4 all sneered, but their smiles contained an unpredictable hidden meaning.
Zane (tilting his head, his sharp eyes locked on Aurora):
"You are so special. It's as if… you originally belonged to nature."
Aurora suddenly broke out in a sweat, quickly shook her head, and denied:
"Don't talk nonsense. I just… love nature."
The four were silent for a moment. But the atmosphere in the car was no longer normal.
Zane (squinting, blunt):
"So… who is your family?"
Without letting Aurora answer, he pulled out his phone and quickly scrolled through the list of the world's most powerful families and corporations.
Zane (pushing the screen toward Aurora):
"Your name isn't on here. So how did you get personally approved by the principal, mid-term admission to Montclair Elite? And sit in a class reserved for the children of the most powerful tycoons?"
Easton (leaning back, voice even but sharp):
"Not only that. The head chef also brought you special food, even respected you more than the children of high-ranking politicians. And… you can communicate and get along with animals in a way that no one else can."
Question after question.
Knox (curling his lips, as if concluding):
"Who are you, Aurora?"
Aurora clenched her hands on her thighs, but only smiled slightly, looking out the window, avoiding.
Aurora (calm, cold):
"I told you. I'm just… a normal student."
The atmosphere in the car became even more dense. F4 looked at each other, their eyes flashing with curiosity and interest. To them, Aurora was no longer just a beautiful girl, but a mystery that must be solved.
