Aurora sat by the window, her eyes looking out at the shimmering sunlight outside, the scenery like streaks of light passing by. Beside her, F4 was still chatting animatedly, occasionally glancing at her, as if they wanted to watch over a stubborn child. But in Aurora's head, thoughts kept swirling, no one could hear.
"Humans... are so confusing. Why do they care about me like that? I'm not related by blood, I don't have any blood connection with them. I'm not even sure... if I'm really like them. And yet... they keep looking at me as if I'm an important part of their lives."
Aurora closed her eyes slightly, her lips pursed.
"Why can people pay so much attention to an outsider? They tell me to eat, tell me to rest, even compete to coax me as if I were something fragile… I don't understand. Is it because they pity me? Or just out of curiosity? But… in their eyes, it doesn't look like pity. It doesn't look like pure curiosity either."
After a moment of silence, Aurora secretly glanced at the four boys sitting across from her, each with their own expression.
"Everyone is different, but they all take care of me together… A strange unity. Why? I don't owe them anything. They don't owe me anything. And yet they're still together. Is it possible that people can really bond with each other… without a reason? If so… what about me? Can I learn to do that?"
Aurora's chest ached slightly, a strange feeling spreading.
"Humans live by emotions, by invisible strings called feelings. But what are feelings? They are not data, not a number that can be measured. They are… something that is uncertain. So why do I start to care? Haven't I always avoided attachments? But… the more I avoid them, the more I get sucked in."
Aurora rested her chin on her hand, frowning slightly.
"Perhaps… this is the danger of humans. They don't need to say much, just being by my side, they gradually make me waver. One day… I will no longer be myself. So… am I afraid? Or… am I looking forward to it?"
She closed her eyes, her lips pressed tightly together. Another voice rang out in her heart, sarcastic but also a little trembling:
"Or actually… they are really my destiny?"
Aurora let out a faint laugh, then shook her head.
"Fate? It sounds so funny. If it really is fate, then why do I still feel so far away? Why has my heart never once fluttered? No… I haven't allowed myself to flutter. It can't be…"
At that moment, Aurora's mind suddenly returned to Luneva. To the land that was once a source of pride, now existing only in human legends. A feeling of anxiety arose, swallowing up the vague thoughts about F4.
"Luneva…" Aurora felt her hand tremble slightly. "Without an heir, the protective door will gradually weaken, like a torn curtain. At that time, Luneva will appear again… no longer a myth in human stories, but a delicious prey for them to once again rush in, conquer, and destroy."
That obsession made Aurora clasp her hands tightly in front of her chest. "What should I do? Luneva cannot be lost again. If that happens… then all the sacrifices of my ancestors will be meaningless. But… do I have enough strength to protect that place? I am someone who always feels lost between two worlds."
In the quiet cabin, Aurora still kept her face calm as if nothing happened. But deep in her eyes, a storm was torn between responsibility and freedom, between undeveloped feelings and worries about a land that had been forgotten for tens of thousands of years.
The F4 sat nearby, each with a different appearance but their eyes were all silently directed towards Aurora. Blacke frowned slightly, Knox tilted his head attentively, Zane crossed his legs leisurely but did not take his eyes off her, and Easton's eyes were both observing and searching for something hidden deep inside.
Unable to hold back any longer, Blacke spoke first, his voice deep and warm:
"Aurora, are you okay?"
Aurora turned around in surprise, but then just smiled faintly.
Knox interrupted, his voice half concerned, half forced:
"Are you hiding something from us?"
Zane raised his eyebrows, his gaze penetrating:
"Tell us. With our family background and power, we can overcome any obstacle."
Easton was calmer, but his words were sharp:
"You don't have to be alone."
Aurora was silent for a long time, her green eyes covered in a layer of mist, then she let out each word choked, but also cold:
"You guys... can't help me. I need to help myself too. Your world... is different from mine. You guys won't understand. And it's better not to be curious about Aurora's family background or true self anymore."
The atmosphere suddenly became quiet, but instead of being discouraged, the four boys looked at each other, the corners of their lips slightly curved up. In their eyes, instead of annoyance, there was intense interest.
Blacke smiled slightly, nodding as if in acknowledgement:
"Okay. If that's your choice."
Knox's eyes sparkled as if he had found an interesting mystery:
"You make us want to know more."
Zane smiled half-heartedly, challenging but also sincere:
"But don't worry, Aurora. We respect you."
Easton didn't say anything more, just silently looked straight into Aurora's blue eyes. That look was so deep that it made Aurora shiver slightly. "Why is there warmth in those eyes, but also a sense of danger that is hard to name?"
The four men looked at each other and smiled meaningfully, all of F4 had the same thought, "Aurora is more interesting than they imagined."
Aurora's heart tightened slightly. The fairy's words from two years ago seemed to echo in her ears: "Your destiny... will come in human form."
"Destiny? But... why do they make me want to believe, but also make me feel so dangerous? Humans... are really hard to understand. More dangerous than I thought."
---
The plane cabin was silent, except for the slight whistling of the wind outside the window. Aurora was still sitting there, her eyes vaguely looking out at the dark blue sky, while her mind was deep in complicated thoughts. But F4 did not let go.
Blacke leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowed, his voice hoarse:
She's hiding something. She's clearly carrying something that ordinary people can't handle.
Zane crossed his arms, exhaling:
"I see it too. Aurora… she's unlike anyone we've ever met. Both proud and fragile. But it feels like she's built a wall, not letting anyone touch her."
Knox tilted his head, his fingers lightly tapping the back of the chair, his voice low:
"She said 'You guys… can't help me. I need to help myself too. Your world… is different from mine.'? A little girl, in a world full of wolves… I don't believe she can do it alone. But maybe, Aurora is stronger than we think."
Easton, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. He looked at Aurora, his eyes gentle but mixed with determination:
"She's different. I don't think Aurora needs anyone's pity. But I'm sure, deep inside, she also longs for someone to stand by her. It's just... she doesn't trust us."
Blacke chuckled, but there was an indescribable interest in his laughter:
"It's that coldness that makes Aurora interesting. She's not like those who only rely on power or family background. Aurora... is like a mystery."
Zane nodded slightly, his eyes shining with curiosity:
"And I want to solve that mystery."
Knox smiled half-heartedly, his voice full of challenge:
"Dangerous or not, I want to know who Aurora is, where she comes from. Someone like her... can't just be a normal name."
Aurora sat there, every word entering her ears. The corner of her lips slightly lifted, revealing a sarcastic sneer. A bitter feeling flashed through her heart:
"Humans… are dangerous. They can be sincere and scary at the same time."
She clenched her hands, her clear green eyes trembling slightly. The feeling of being surrounded by care, yet being besieged by gazes that wanted to pierce her heart… made Aurora feel a chill down her spine.
---
She still looked out silently, lost in thought, but her ears did not miss a single word from the conversation of the four boys behind her.
Knox crossed her arms, her eyes sharp but mixed with a faint smile:
"Aurora is like a little kitten lost among us wolves. She seems weak but has hidden claws inside."
Zane laughed, his voice mixed with a hint of sarcasm:
"How can a wolf raise a kitten? But… if it were her, I think I would be willing to try."
Blake leaned over, squinting at Aurora in the front seat, his voice filled with curiosity:
"Don't cats usually hate being tied down? But this kitten... even if it wants to escape, it still makes people want to keep it."
Easton shrugged, smiling as he said in conclusion:
"Then let's raise it, who knows? Maybe Aurora needs a pack of wolves like us to protect her."
A soft laugh echoed through the cabin, both friendly and dangerous. Aurora heard everything, her lips curled into a smirk. A sarcastic thought flashed through her mind:
"Kitten? I admit, people are both straightforward and... cheesy to the point of being sickening. I hate it. And they even treat me like a toy for these rich guys... So annoying."
But it was their sincerity and the way they called her "kitty" that made Aurora's heart flutter. She hated that feeling, both warm and like falling into the dangerous trap the fairy had warned her about.
