Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Danzo's Killing Move

Uchiha Yato declared, "As expected of me. Please call me the new era's miracle doctor."

As he spoke, an electronic chime rang out.

"Ding~"

"Congratulations, Host, for completing Tsunade's wish and altering her fate."

"Obtained a large amount of Emotion Coins."

...

"System energy has reached the required level. Now upgrading to Version 2.0."

"System functions will be unavailable during the upgrade, but Emotion Coins will continue to accumulate automatically."

"New features will be unlocked after the upgrade is complete.""To compensate for the host being unable to use the system during this period, all emotion coins earned during the upgrade process will be multiplied by 2.5 times."

Upon hearing this, Uchiha Yato, who had originally just wanted to joke around and make everyone happy, burst into uncontrollable laughter, overjoyed.

He thought to himself, "This heaven-sent fortune has finally come to me!"

"Not a single sheep shall escape my shearing!"

Just then, Tsunade's voice came through:

"Thank you for helping me. Weren't we saying the Sand Village is coming? Let's go meet them."

At that very moment, Kunai and Exploding Tags suddenly appeared inside their guest room.

All three reacted with lightning speed, leaping out of the explosion and attack range just in time.

The building then collapsed with a thunderous crash.

Tsunade was the first to speak, initially assuming it was just the usual debt collectors coming after her.

"If you're here to collect debts, just say so. No need for all this violence and attempted murder."

But Uchiha Yato immediately understood the situation when he saw the attackers.

These assailants were killing indiscriminately without any clear targets, indicating they had come prepared.

Or rather, their objective was to eliminate everyone present.

This alone proved they weren't Tsunade's debt collectors—otherwise they would have targeted her specifically.

Their towering, muscular builds resembling wooden clubs were dead giveaways.

These physical characteristics perfectly matched those from the Land of Lightning—clearly, they were ninja from the Hidden Cloud Village.

The final confirmation came when Uchiha Yato recognized two individuals among them.

Indeed, it was the infamous AB Combo from Hidden Cloud. (The dark-skinned brothers)

Uchiha Yato warned Tsunade, "They're neither rogue ninja nor your debt collectors."

"They're Hidden Cloud ninja, and their mission is clearly to kill us all."

Hearing "Hidden Cloud" triggered Tsunade's memories about Nawaki.

There had been evidence suggesting Hidden Cloud was responsible for Nawaki's death by Exploding Tags.

This was why Orochimaru had gone to the Land of Lightning and released the Eight-Tails, causing that catastrophic disaster.

This incident alone had sown deep enmity between Hidden Leaf and Hidden Cloud.

Not to mention during the Second War, the Second Hokage had been killed by Hidden Cloud ninja.

Having confirmed their identities, Tsunade's rage ignited—these were the same scum who had killed both her younger brother and her granduncle.

Uchiha Yato then taunted the AB Combo: "State your names and affiliations, foes! I don't kill nameless nobodies."

"Otherwise when you become ghosts, how would you know who to haunt if you can't even identify your killer?"

Damn, these lines were pure concentrated mockery.

It was practically like using a megaphone to announce:

"I'm not targeting you specifically—I mean everyone here."

"You're all worthless trash!"

Killer Bee couldn't resist responding in his signature rap style:

"Listen here you little punk,"

"Keep talking smack and you'll be crying for your mommy!"

(Imagine accompanying rap gestures.)

A remained more level-headed, unaffected by Uchiha Yato's provocation.

He calmly stated, "We received intel that the ninja responsible for the Eight-Tails' rampage is here."

"Seeing you Hidden Leaf shinobi confirms the report's accuracy."

"Therefore, you won't be leaving this place alive."

No sooner had he finished speaking than A activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode armor and charged forward at blinding speed. This was instantly perceived by Tsunade as a provocation, leading directly to a passionate clash of strength and speed.

Currently in the prime of her youth, Tsunade had just overcome her hemophobia and was unafraid of a fight.

Soon, the two were locked in a fierce brawl.

Jiraiya, concerned for Tsunade, immediately joined the fray.

Uchiha Yato then scurried over to Jiraiya and whispered something in his ear.

Jiraiya's eyes gradually lit up before he nodded in agreement.

Without hesitation, Jiraiya bit his finger and performed the Summoning Technique, calling forth Gamabunta.

"Boss Gamabunta, coat those dark-skinned ninjas with toad oil," Jiraiya instructed.

There was no need for Gamabunta to fight—just spewing oil would suffice.

What Uchiha Yato had suggested to Jiraiya was simple:

"You lay down a layer of toad oil, and I'll hit them with my Fire Release Ninjutsu for a devastating combo."

After all, this wasn't Hidden Leaf territory, and since they had bullied Tsunade—the object of Jiraiya's undying affection—they had to pay the price.

Soon, a deluge of oily liquid drenched the ruins of the houses and the surrounding forest.

Without hesitation, Uchiha Yato roared, "Fire Release: Wildfire of the Plains!"

This technique was inherently a Combination Ninja Technique, one that Yato wielded with effortless mastery—instantaneous, wide-ranging, and devastating in its fiery intensity.

Now, amplified by the lingering toad oil, the flames surged with even greater destructive force.

A sea of fire engulfed the ruins, incinerating everything in its path—including the satellite receivers (White Zetsu clones) of the esteemed Uchiha Madara.

This left the empty-nest elder suddenly deprived of his television privileges, unwittingly earning Yato a surge of emotional currency from the void.

A, witnessing this, felt his eyebrows twitch uncontrollably.

He thought, Seriously? I just activated a skill to land a basic attack...

And you guys jump straight to your ultimate moves?

Shouldn't we at least test the waters first?

Of course, Uchiha Yato was well aware of conventional ninja combat tactics.

Typically, ninjas would start by throwing Kunai or shuriken for ranged harassment before escalating to Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, or Genjutsu clashes.

But Yato was no ordinary shinobi—if you dared to basic attack, he'd unleash a full combo.

If you dared to pull out your ultimate, he'd just run away.

His entire approach was designed to be as annoying and infuriating as possible.

Of course, right now, luck was on his side—the system had gifted him a 2.5x multiplier, so he had to milk this opportunity dry.

Running into four canon ninjas? Not squeezing every last drop of advantage from this would be an insult to himself.

Meanwhile, Killer B wasn't idly spectating either—he immediately used Gyūki's (the Eight-Tails') body to block the assault.

Still, he could only manage to shield a handful of the attacking ninjas, leaving the rest exposed.

In the end, only the A-B duo and two or three Jonin remained unscathed.

Even Yato was somewhat surprised by this.

Killer B and Gyūki (the Eight-Tails) should have only recently reestablished their seal.

He hadn't expected B to adapt so smoothly as the new Jinchūriki—otherwise, this attack would've likely left only the A-B duo standing.Uchiha Yato wasn't fond of wasting words, and even if he had to, he'd only do so when certain the other party posed no threat to him.

So he immediately closed the distance again and unleashed the ninjutsu "Fire Release: Great Meteor."

Once more, the allure of Fire Release was on full display. These two waves of fiery baptism left a deep impression on the Cloud ninja.

Uchiha Yato continued his ninjutsu bombardment—there was no helping it. With his special trait of "chakra tonnage," he could afford to be this reckless. As long as he had protection, he was the perfect spell artillery.

Even Jiraiya, watching from the back, began to pity the Cloud ninja.

Jiraiya quietly sidled up to Uchiha Yato and whispered, "If we keep fighting like this, what if it sparks a conflict between our nations?"

"Could someone be manipulating this situation?"

Hearing this, Uchiha Yato dialed back his firepower slightly and said, "Even if I thought with my ass, I'd know there's a 90% chance they were sent here under orders from their higher-ups."

"And the only people who knew about our movements were villagers—or more accurately, only the higher-ups and those with influence."

Uchiha Yato only said these two sentences, but even with Jiraiya's poor political instincts, he understood what Yato meant.

The Third Hokage wouldn't stoop to such ungrateful treachery, and the two advisors were nothing more than decorative vases for the Hidden Leaf.

That left only one obvious answer: Shimura Danzo.
