Hell, inside the cages.
A group of legendary criminals stared at the images projected onto the wall by the surveillance Den Den Mushi. Even with their hardened mentalities, their hearts trembled, and their faces paled.
There was nothing more painful than this, nothing more despair-inducing.
A man who once dominated the seas, who was once a pillar of Marine Headquarters, someone so dangerous that even the World Government sought to erase his name from history—now reduced to this.
Reduced to the lowest of fish, being hunted by the very creatures that were once considered his food when he ruled the seas.
It was enough to break anyone.
Looking at the young man on the screen, their hearts turned cold.
"1003…"
This new warden of Impel Down was crueler than Magellan. Magellan only locked them in dark cells, but this man's powers were strange—and he broke not only bodies, but also spirits.
"Ahhh!!"
Bundy World let out another shrill scream as he carefully bit down a piece of meat, the pain so unbearable he couldn't suppress his cries.
So he kept running in the damp, endless waters, chased by schools of fish.
From the Frozen Hell, prisoners swallowed hard as they watched this.
This… this new warden was a devil!!!
…
And just like that, half a month passed.
During this time, Falkor had already become the number one among all the beasts of Impel Down. Every guard beast bowed to it, and those who resisted were beaten until they submitted.
In LV2 Beast Hell, the monsters trembled before Falkor. Even the ice wolves of LV5 Frozen Hell yielded.
In short, Falkor became the king of all beasts within Impel Down.
Without a single human in sight, it led its "crew" of beasts to bully prisoners every day—holding races where convicts were forced to ride monsters as mounts.
Falkor itself would ride a giant cow-beast and chase them. If it caught anyone, a bolt of lightning would strike, leaving the target twitching on the floor.
It even played hide-and-seek, making a dozen strong prisoners hide while it hunted them down for fun.
For the inmates, these two weeks were nothing but suffering.
They even started missing the old warden, Magellan.
As for rebellious ones like Sabo encountered earlier, Creed simply sliced off their heads, grafted them onto fish, and left them to rot.
The despairing cries that echoed through the tides made every criminal shiver in fear, never daring to act out.
…
During this month, Creed also began developing his abilities—both the Ope Ope no Mi (Operation Fruit) and his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
He focused especially on the Operation Fruit.
Its "position replacement" power was, to put it accurately, very similar to the "Hiraishin no Jutsu" (Flying Thunder God Technique).
He first had to leave a special "mark" on an object before being able to swap positions with it.
For example, if he marked a stone on the ground, he could then switch places with that stone.
The "marking" itself was simple—it only required a thought, consuming little mental energy. Non-living objects required almost no stamina.
So Creed began researching whether it was possible to move without placing a mark at all.
Or even directly convert "position replacement" into pure teleportation—being able to move freely within his ROOM.
Or marking microscopic particles in the air to achieve near-instant movement, silent and untraceable.
But after long development, he had no clue how to achieve it.
Until an unexpected surprise appeared.
While stuck at this bottleneck with the Operation Fruit, he shifted to experimenting with his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
And then, his eyes clearly saw the minute dust particles floating in his vision.
He marked them.
And it worked.
He really could mark dust and micro-particles in the air, then switch positions with them.
This breakthrough greatly advanced his mastery of the fruit. Creed believed that one day, he would be able to teleport freely within ROOM without needing to mark anything.
As for his Mangekyō techniques, he had also discovered them.
One was Tsukuyomi (Moon Reader).
The other was Amaterasu (Heavenly Illumination).
And, like all Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, he possessed the ultimate ability—Susanoo.
…
So, after half a month of focused training, Creed's strength had increased rapidly.
Time passed again.
Ten more days later, while Creed was still in LV5 Frozen Hell developing his powers, the system's voice rang in his mind.
This sound filled him with joy.
"Ding! Congratulations, Host. Ability extraction complete. It has been placed in the standby ability slot."
