Origins of Qaden

When the universe was summoned by a celestial beam, the Vadon Universe was born. From its light emerged three Spiritual Beings—Viana, Peyxia, and Oziozus—the born Gods, each entrusted with a role in shaping life. In the silence of creation, Oziozus whispered into the void, and from that breath came the planet Qaden, said to be the most beautiful of all worlds. Its twin suns and moons radiated with unmatched power.

But Oziozus longed for another creation. Beings born from his will, with hearts capable of love, respect, and care for one another. So he began to seed the land, placing eggs across his domain, each one cradling the essence of the first people.

It caught the attention of one of his servants, Blayadine. His first creation. Something close to a goddess, yet her heart was never free from his will. As the first of the seven servants charged with caring for the planet, she alone had the will to confront him, demanding to know the purpose of the eggs. When she heard his desire for this new world, chaos took root in her heart.

With the powers he had gifted her, Blayadine cursed the planet, birthing monsters whose only purpose was to destroy whatever emerged from the eggs. There were seven species in all. The sight of them drove Oziozus to fury, and so began the Battle of the Worlds.

He unleashed his strongest power to destroy them, yet they regenerated endlessly. It was Blayadine's doing, her curse bound their existence to her soul. And under the celestial law of the born Gods, a servant could not be slain. As long as she lived, so would the monsters.

Oziozus turned to another idea. He evaporated Blayadine's body, reshaping her into something else. An island brimming with magical energy. An Expansional. He named it Freeja.

He did the same with the rest of his servants, their souls shaping the form of the artefacts they would become. Each was sentient, breathing, and alive in its own way. Now the eggs would have the strength to fight back. The energy radiating from these artefacts weakened the monsters, making it impossible for them to draw near. The lands where the Expansionals stood became sanctuaries. Untouched by the monsters

And for the last of his power, he sacrificed himself to create what became known as the Iaxander. A force so rare it could grant control over the monsters to any who united three Expansionals.

The land that housed these artefacts became what we now know as the continent of Rarica. Within it lay the Lands of Tophora, and the Kingdoms of Zernad. These nations thrived as they sang their great stories of power.

The Awoken War

While Rarica remained safe, the three other continents—Hukanus, Xetricova, and Darnov—suffered heavy losses. It soon became clear that to truly survive, they would have to learn how to fight the monsters. By the year 1040, they had found a way.

Three nations received the same letter at the same time. The message claimed that destroying the leading pack of monsters would banish the rest for ten years, until they regenerated. No one knew where the letter had come from, but as the rumor spread, the nations acted quickly. They chose a single warrior, bringing the number to three.

Yonan Nulex of Ficious was one of them, and it took the trio three decades to to achieve the goal. And despite success he feared that the ten year reset was too small of window for their nations to thrive until they returned. So he created the Domeinus Union for that cause. And for thousands of years they ensured the monsters would never win.

The First Vadon War

By the year 1600, Qaden had become a prosperous world. Nations thrived, advancing in ways many once believed possible only in dreams. President Sayonara Rix of Tophora took great pride in their innovations. Yet as the Polarix observed many territories flourish, it also foresaw inevitable conflict among political leaders. That conflict began with Ruler Ziobus Nulex, Hand of the Domeinus Union.

He was furious. After a long and brutal war with his own brother, Ziobus had been forced to confront the strange powers within him. A notorious warrior, he had wielded a sword forged from the bones of monsters he had slain since the age of eight. But when he drove that blade into his brother, something inside him fractured. The power he had unleashed, he learned, came from ancient artefacts known as Expansionals. Confusion turned to rage when he discovered that these artefacts were found in Tophora. They had possessed them all along, while his own people had suffered the monsters' attacks without aid.

During a grand gathering organised by the Polarix, all world leaders were present. It was there that Ziobus Nulex confronted President Sayonara Rix directly. To his surprise, she claimed to have no knowledge of the monsters' existence. Outraged yet moved by the revelation, she vowed to help. King Tavatora Vadaxer of Zernad pledged his support as well.

But Ziobus had already set his plans in motion. Spies had been dispatched to infiltrate Tophora. Their mission ended abruptly when they crossed paths with a warrior who stopped them with ease. NasfridaVieldem, Tophora's greatest champion. She brought the captured spies before President Rix, who was furious. In response, the royal family appointed Nasfrida as Tophora's first-ever Commander.

Alongside King Tavatora Vadaxer, she marched to Ziobus's castle in Ficious to declare war. He accepted but demanded a duel with Nasfrida, insulted by the audacity of her approach in front of his people.

The battle that followed was fierce, but for the first time in his life, Ziobus lost.

Over the next thirty years, the Domeinus Union transformed into something far more dangerous. Ziobus would not rest until he forged the perfect machine of destruction to unleash upon Tophora.

From his ambition, the Vexo Wielders were born.

And the war began. Tophora and Zernad suffered heavily under Ziobus's command. His orchestrated attacks struck with such precision and cruelty that they shocked the world. Then he achieved the unthinkable, obtaining three Expansional powers and initiating the Iaxander. For the first time, the monsters descended upon Tophora, and its people knew fear as they never had before.

But Nasfrida met him in battle and, with a single decisive strike of her sword, brought him down. Ziobus fell.

Yet his scar remained. A mark burned deep into the world of Qaden, one that would never fade.
