Anya lifted the Blade of Indifference once again, a Lightning Bolt surging through it, cleaving the Broken Crescent cleanly in two.
"Crash..."
Deprived of support, the shattered remnants of the Broken Crescent fell to the ground.
Gazing at the devastated Yugao, Anya said, "You wanted to avenge Dan—I accept that. This Single Blade Strike, I return it to you."
Then, without looking back, Anya left Sanshouo Hanzo's area, leaving behind a stunned Yugao staring blankly at the broken sword lying on the ground.
After some time, footsteps approached. Hope lit up in Yugao's eyes momentarily, but soon turned into blazing anger. "You planned all this, didn't you?"
Konan's voice remained calm and detached. "Yes. But shouldn't you be thanking me for telling you the truth?"
Yugao responded bitterly, "The truth no longer matters."
Konan replied with equal sorrow, equally lonely. "It seems we're both lonely people after all, Yugao. I want to leave this world, yet I don't know where to go. Have anywhere in mind?"
Yugao looked down at the remains of the Broken Crescent, then tilted her head toward the sky, gazing quietly at the faint white glow now visible.
Meanwhile, walking away with an expression dark and terrifying, Anya spoke toward a seemingly empty space after traveling some distance: "You've been following me this whole way. Why won't you show yourself? What, do you have something to ask me too?"
Out of thin air, droplets of mist solidified into ice, eventually forming Haku's figure.
"I know you're feeling upset. That's why I simply wanted to walk beside you in silence."
"Haku's voice was like a gentle breeze and drizzle, soothing Anya's troubled heart.
"No need." With terrifying red eyes, Anya stepped forward and grabbed Haku's shoulders. "Both of them want to kill me. You saw it, right? Do you think I should go back and kill them?"
Haku shook his head. "No, you won't do that."
Anya persisted stubbornly, "I don't want to hear those words. I want to hear your firm answer. I want to go kill them. What are you going to do?"
A gentle smile appeared on Haku's face as he softly replied, "Okay then, I'll help you kill them."
That single sentence significantly reduced the red glow in Anya's eyes.
Haku continued, "I've told you before, I'm not a follower of light. Whatever you decide to do, I will always accompany you, even if we fall into the abyss, I will still be by your side."
The crimson glow completely disappeared from Anya's eyes, her pupils turning pure black. She tightly embraced Haku and repeatedly said with teary eyes, "Haku, thank you. Seriously, do you know something? All along, I've felt that I can't live without you."
Haku hugged Anya back, murmuring affectionately, "Actually, I feel the same way too."
