Chapter 390 - Chapter 390: Bai

Anya's three special women. He had gifted Tsunade with a stage play, arranged a wedding for Kurenai Yuhi, and was now pondering what to give Haku, when...

"You're pregnant? Really?" Anya couldn't believe his ears.

When he saw Haku nod affirmatively, Anya finally became convinced. A wave of immense joy washed over him. Then, a detail surfaced in his memory—he recalled how Haku had been severely seasick on the boat ride, which he originally attributed to motion sickness. But looking back now, it had clearly been morning sickness from pregnancy. Anya couldn't help blaming himself for being so careless.

Although he already had one child, Hakuto's birth had come as a total surprise; Anya hadn't really gotten the chance to be involved from the beginning. Now that he was older, there were fewer things to worry about.

But this time was different—this was a child whose development he would know from its very conception. Gently caressing Haku's belly, Anya could distinctly feel the pulse of life within. This bond between soul and flesh was indescribable.

Anya pulled Haku into a warm embrace and asked, "Have you thought of a name for our child yet?"

Haku looked at him blankly, replying, "Let me name it?"

With one hand pinching playfully at her soft skin, and the other bending his finger to flick lightly against her forehead, Anya teased, "Do you enjoy slacking off so much? I even named you, didn't I? Don't you want to put some effort into naming our child?"

Hearing this, Haku immediately began thinking seriously. After several seconds, she asked tentatively, "How about Bai?"

Meeting Anya's silence, Haku began feeling anxious, worried her name choice wasn't good enough.

Anya burst out laughing. "Ha! It's settled then. That's actually a pretty good name—it works whether it's a boy or a girl."

Seeing Haku's bright smile and realizing her name choice had been accepted filled him with happiness.

Anya stroked Haku's now slightly plumper frame, a longing surging inside him.

Feeling Anya's wandering hands grow bolder, Haku blushed, lowered her head, and started unbuttoning his clothes.

Breathing hotly, his body seemed set ablaze. His nimble hands swiftly stripped her bare, revealing pure, flawless beauty. Just as he was about to strike with the force of a charging dragon—

*Rap-tap-tap…*

At the sound, Haku suddenly seemed to regain her strength. She pushed Anya away slightly and whispered breathlessly, "No, someone is knocking."

"Let them wait." Using his sensory perception, Anya had already detected someone standing outside the door, but right now wasn't exactly convenient.

*Rap-tap-tap…*

The knocking came again.

"No… we can't."

Finally unable to bear it, Haku pushed Anya away, shyly picked up the fallen clothes and began dressing.

Anya sighed quietly, deciding not to push further, picked up his clothes and got dressed in two seconds flat.

His speed startled Haku, who paused mid-motion while pulling on her shirt.

Once Haku finished dressing, Anya, wearing an annoyed expression, opened the door.

"It's you."

Anya frowned, clearly displeased.

The person knocking on the door was actually Samiu. She had short golden hair, fair skin, and mysteriously charming eyes. Her delicate yet cold features combined with an impressive figure made her look extremely beautiful and sexy.

Samiu spoke calmly, "It's been many days since the Stage Play, and I've been left here for quite some time. Since you never came to see me, I could only take the initiative to find you."

Anya replied indifferently, "I understand your purpose here, so honestly, I don't get why you accepted this mission in the first place."

"First of all, I'm a ninja. And as a ninja, for the sake of the Village, I..."

"Enough," Anya interrupted her. "Actually, I already had plans regarding you. Since you've come looking for me now, I'll just be straightforward—I'll be taking you somewhere else."

A slight expression of surprise flashed across Samiu's face. "Where?"

"That remains confidential for now," Anya said calmly. "Considering you're also from Kumogakure, you should know her. After being away from your own Village for so long, she probably needs someone to keep her company. I think you'd be perfect."

Samiu listened in confusion, completely failing to grasp the meaning behind Anya's words.

Without further explanation, Anya simply added, "In a few days, I'll be going out for a trip. At that time, you'll be coming with me."

It sounded somewhat like wanting to develop their relationship. Samiu didn't press further and simply nodded in agreement.

In Sunagakure, Neji and Lee were diligently training in taijutsu. It was only after arriving here that they realized how harsh the environment would be—wind, sand, and desert everywhere, making survival itself difficult enough, not to mention resources or comforts.

Fortunately, the Kazekage treated the three of them very well, especially Tenten, who was practically spoiled rotten. People would come greet her as she walked by, a feeling even warmer than what she experienced back in Konoha.

During the first few days, the trio still trained together occasionally. But shortly afterward, Tenten disappeared without explanation, supposedly off on a special mission. No details were provided. If it weren't for Tenten occasionally dropping by with food, they might've seriously thought she'd been snatched.

After finishing their training, Neji leaned against a wall resting while Lee continued practicing. He asked, "Have you noticed? The Sunagakure ninja seem to treat Tenten differently."

"Yeah," Lee nodded in agreement. "Tenten's got such a great vibe. No wonder she's so popular!"

Neji slightly furrowed his brows; Lee clearly hadn't understood his point at all.

Just as he was about to elaborate, Lee excitedly said instead, "Oh right, Neji! Do you remember Ziluo, the one I sparred with the other day? His taijutsu is really strong too, especially the Seven Gate Technique. Once perfected, it might even rival my Eight Gates!"

"It's really tough to come up with a whole new style of Taijutsu by yourself," Neji responded skeptically. Besides, with Byakugan existing, his Gentle Fist was naturally superior to these iron-fist fighters.

Lee wiped sweat from his forehead as he replied, "You should never underestimate someone who works hard. Perhaps one day, he will accomplish something miraculous."

"A miracle?"

Neji wore a sneer across his face. Just as he was about to argue further, Tenten flew down from the sky.

"Hey there! Training again, I see?"

Neji looked up at Tenten and snarked, "Since arriving in Sunagakure, your training has become much more lax, Tenten."

Tenten stuck her tongue out and laughed, "I'm not slacking off. We're just training differently now—I'm trying out a totally new combat style."

Curious, Neji asked, "What kind of style is it?"

Proudly, Tenten demonstrated, "Take a look at my wings."

Suddenly, Tenten's mechanical wings expanded rapidly. The enormous metallic wings wrapped completely around her body. Her frame appeared armored within a machine exoskeleton—muscles bulging, bones protruding, and her entire form shimmering with sharp brilliance. Before them both stood a silver-armored mechanized warrior.

Tenten casually swung her mechanical arm. A long blade ejected outward. Sword Light, nearly tangible, sliced through the earth, carving deep trenches into the ground.

Neji's Byakugan widened as he stared at the ground, speechless. If just one weapon on this arm could produce such power, what would full firepower be like? A strong intuition told him—the Ninja World was on the brink of transformation.

"Here, this is for you."

After finishing her demonstration, Tenten retracted the armor, transforming it back into a wing unit before handing it to Neji.

"For me?" Neji asked, surprised.

Tenten nodded. "Yeah. Sasori... uh, Kazekage said to give it to you and fly over to meet him—he has something he wishes to discuss with you."

Neji's expression grew serious. After thinking for a moment, he accepted the wing device from Tenten.

Being a genius, he picked up how to use it in no time. Once the wings unfolded, he gave a couple flaps and soared high into the air.

Using his Byakugan, Neji soon located the masked Kazekage hidden within a valley behind Sunagakure.

At first glance, he froze. That mask—Neji was all too familiar with it.

"It's you? You're actually the Kazekage? Then who are those other two?"

The mask belonged to one of the trio he had encountered during the Chunin Exams—a so-called Genin from Takigakure named Red Spider.

Sasori removed the mask, revealing a handsome yet strangely enchanting face. He gave a faint smile and said, "Back then, Megatron helped remove your Caged Bird Seal because he wanted you to alter your own destiny—to show you a possibility. Today, calling you here follows the same reasoning."

After a long silence, Neji spoke, "I understand. In this world, nothing comes without equivalent exchange. Since you've freed me from the Caged Bird Seal, I assume there's something you expect me to do in return."

"No, you misunderstand," Sasori shook his head. "Right now, you're still far too weak. What we're doing isn't something you're ready to interfere with—unless your Byakugan evolves to a whole new level."

"Can the Byakugan evolve even further?" Neji questioned in astonishment.

"Maybe yes, maybe no. Megatron believes in you, which is why I, too, place my hopes upon you."

"Sasori said solemnly, "Now, I invite you to join an organization. Its name is Zero. In the future, you may truly have your day."

A gentle breeze drifted between the two. Neji's voice traveled with the wind into Sasori's ear, and it was only one word: "Alright."

"Neji, you've made a correct decision."

Anya's voice echoed in both of their ears.

"You are... Megatron." Neji recognized the man formerly known as Dark Luster.

"Yes, and also the leader of the Zero Organization." Anya introduced with a smile. "Now, Sasori, take him and show him your achievements. Then teach him all the secret techniques of the Hyuga Clan."

Upon hearing this, Neji responded with disbelief, "How could you possibly possess the secret techniques of the Hyuga Clan?"

"Haha, kid, during the second and third wars, I've seen quite a few members of the Hyuga Clan. I even personally captured some. Obtaining some secret techniques was just too easy." Sasori patted Neji on the shoulder and said, "Believe me, joining the Organization is the most correct decision you've ever made."

Not long after Sasori left, Anya found Mabui playing in a sand sea. As expected, after receiving Anya's guidance, she was no longer the obedient secretary staying quietly in her office doing paperwork.

"Wanna borrow a bike? Let's go for a ride!" Anya's voice carried through the storm and reached Mabui's ears.

Mabui turned her head, her eyes flashing with surprise. With a stylish drifting turn and a few quick leaps, she arrived before Anya.

"How come you have time to visit Sunagakure Village? From what I know, shouldn't you be back at the Clan serving as a stud right now?" The second Mabui opened her mouth, it was like verbal daggers.

Anya rolled his eyes, "This is my reward for dragging myself all the way out here just to drop off a friend to keep you from dying of boredom? Well then, how about that?"

"Companion?" Mabui quickly seized on the key point in Anya's words and quickly asked, "Who is it?"

"Come out." Anya called toward somewhere behind him.

Samiu stepped forth gracefully. Now standing face-to-face with Mabui, both showed expressions of shock, each suspecting they had misheard or misunderstood.

"Mabui, you're not dead?"

"Samiu, how come you're here?"

Almost simultaneously, both women voiced their questions.

"It seems you two know each other. That's good. From now on, Samiu will stay in Sunagakure Village with you. When my plan succeeds, you can go wherever you want to play." With that, Anya turned and left, letting them have their moment.

Samiu grabbed Mabui's hand tightly, "You're actually alive. Then why didn't you return to the village? Do you know? You vanished for over ten years, and the village already marked you as KIA."

Mabui gave a bitter smile. If initially she couldn't extricate herself, later when opportunities came, for some unknown reason, she simply wasn't willing to return anymore. Perhaps back then...

Seeing that Mabui remained silent, Samiu nodded in understanding, "I get it. Back where you disappeared, there was lots of puppet debris. Were you captured by Sunagakure's puppet masters and trapped here all this time?"

"No, it's not like that."

Shaking her head, Mabui sighed and said, "First tell me why you followed him here to Sunagakure Village. Are you here on a mission?"

Samiu's eyes turned calm. "Sorry, I can't tell you that."

After so many years gone, her sudden appearance left Samiu, past the initial shock, now questioning Mabui's true identity.

Understanding her suspicion, Mabui implored, "Whatever you're planning to do—stop now. You can't imagine how terrifying he is. Even the Raikage himself might not stand a chance..."

"Terrifying?" Samiu asked with interest. "Sounds like you really know this Uchiha. Can you tell me more?"

Mabui paused, then answered solemnly, "He ended the Third Great Ninja War by himself."

Samiu's expression shifted from shock to deep skepticism. "The Third Battle was decided together by the Five Kage Summit. Where was he back then? How could he possibly..."

"It was he who created Deadly Poison Valley."

Mabui's words struck like thunder in Samiu's ears...
