Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Birth of the Rasengan

"You're sure this is really my new prison?"

Tsunade huffed in response to the question, "This is the third time you've asked. You've seen the documents. What else do you need to believe it?"

Anya rolled his eyes. The way this prison was built, there probably weren't more than a handful of places in the entire village that could rival its luxury. How was he supposed to believe it?

Of course, Anya didn't know the truth—that this prison had just been completed, and its financier was standing right beside him. Supposedly built as a prison, it had actually been built to Tsunade's own lavish design standards, which was why it looked so extravagant. Don't let her gambling losses fool you—Tsunade was secretly loaded. No matter which world you were in, doctors never lacked money, especially the best ones.

"Come in."

Tsunade led Anya into a fairly spacious room and pointed at the bed. "From now on, you'll stay locked up in this room… uh, I mean, in this prison."

Anya glanced at the soft bedding and the full set of daily necessities in the room, feeling genuinely uneasy. He leaned in and whispered playfully into Tsunade's ear, "You're not sneaking me out behind the Hokage's back, are you? Isn't that escaping from prison?"

Noticing Tsunade's face darkening, Anya sensed she was about to snap. He quickly stepped back a couple of paces, chuckling nervously. "I'm kidding, sis. Don't get mad, okay? From now on, I'll stay in this… prison room. No wandering off."

"Glad you understand," Tsunade muttered, pulling a sheet of paper from her robe and sticking it directly onto the wall. "These are your tasks for the coming period—one each day—and don't even think about slacking off."

Anya gave it a quick glance, puzzled as he spoke, "Aren't some of these tasks you've already been working on for over half a year? Why haven't they been completed yet?"

Tsunade's face flushed slightly, and fearing Anya would notice, she quickly turned away and snapped, "You are a prisoner now—you don't ask questions. Just complete my tasks properly, understood?"

"Yes, sir! Promise to accomplish the mission." Anya wisely complied.

He had no idea that ever since entering the prison, Tsunade had barely been able to concentrate on her medical research. Most of her time was spent training Shizune and then paying visits to the Third, where, conveniently, she somehow managed to get her hands on two important documents.

After Tsunade left, Anya took out the experimental materials from the room and resumed his earlier toxin experiments.

In Anya's opinion, Tsunade and Orochimaru's research directions were completely opposite—she was a medical expert who went off studying poisons, while he was a poison master delving into human anatomy. If they combined their efforts, both would surely make tremendous progress together. Unfortunately, the Sannin had such a complex relationship, making collaborative research impossible—especially given how completely off-limits many of Orochimaru's experiments were.

And so, Anya—who had gained experience from both sides—became the greatest beneficiary. During those months under Orochimaru, he had achieved a profound understanding of human physiology, having dissected at least a hundred corpses. Now that he was revisiting toxin research, he had developed fresh insights, significantly accelerating his progress.

After bringing Anya over, Tsunade moved all the equipment from the hospital's hidden chamber straight here—clearly planning to stay for the long run. With Anya's help, her workload lightened considerably, and at times, Tsunade even asked how Anya finished tasks so quickly. Their coordination had improved dramatically compared to before, which really stunned Tsunade—how could Anya be even sharper after half a year behind bars? Could the Maximum-Security Wing actually have that effect?

One day while they were busy working, Tsunade suddenly paused and turned to Anya. "The barrier outside the prison just shifted. Someone's here to visit."

"Oh, really?" Anya showed mild curiosity about who it might be.

Tsunade casually made a few hand signs before resuming her work, speaking offhandedly, "I've already lowered the barrier. Go check it out yourself."

You're being too casual about this. Ma'am, I'm still in *jail* here. At least make me feel like I'm actually doing my time.

Even with the barrier down, Anya wasn't about to try escaping. She set her work aside and quickly moved outside using Shunshin.

Coming into view was a man with golden hair and blue eyes, his charming smile glowing under the sunlight—Minato, who had come to visit. He looked around in astonishment at the Luxury Mansion, muttering to himself, "So this is what the prison looks like. It's actually pretty nice."

Anya sighed, too uninterested to explain, and stepped forward. "You came to visit me today. Did you bring something good?"

Kurenai Yuhi and Red always brought food and booze, Mikoto brought laughter, Fugaku usually brought drama, and Tsunade... well, she brought paperwork. So if Minato went through the trouble to come, he must've brought *something* special too.

"Of course!" Minato happily stretched out his right hand. Chakra gathered on his palm, swirling in irregular directions before compressing into a small, palm-sized sphere of neutral chakra.

This… [Rasengan]. Anya had long grown indifferent to it. In the future, your son will master [Shadow Clones] and the art of using [Rasengan] to perfection, practically using it in every battle.

"I've developed this new jutsu!" Minato said, his smile bright with excitement. "Isn't it amazing? Back when we saw the Tailed Beast Ball during the battle at Iwagakure, I got inspired. After years of refining it, I finally made it work."

Anya clapped politely. "Hmm, impressive. This technique pushes chakra transformation to its limit. The high-speed rotation in such a small space creates massive tearing power. Its strength should be quite formidable."

"You're amazing—seeing through it so fast!" Receiving praise, Minato grew even more thrilled. "I even gave it a particularly cool name: Uzumaki Hayate [Rasengan] Rei Shiki!"

"You said… what?" Distracted, Anya hadn't even caught the long name Minato had just said. That didn't sound right—wasn't this originally called [Rasengan]?

Excitedly, Minato continued, "Okay then, I'll repeat it: it's called Uzumaki…"

"Stop… stop, stop."

"Anya cut Minato off with a disgusted look, saying, 'I know you like that Little Pepper girl; but do you really have to include her name too? Not to mention, with that brain of hers, are you sure she can even remember the name of your ninjutsu?'"

"Uh… Well…" Minato stammered, clearly at a loss.

Anya groaned under her breath, "Fine then, just call it Rasengan. It sounds nice and is easy to remember. I've already seen the ninjutsu—go let your Little Pepper see it already."

Minato rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled sheepishly, "Rasengan, huh? Alright, even though it's not as impressive-sounding as the names I came up with, it is easier to remember. Kushina will probably like this name too."

Sigh… Such a love-struck fool through and through. Enough already…
