The knowledge was transmitted into Aiden's flow of thoughts at once, but just then recognition dawned back on Samael's blank expression and his face tilted into a frown.
"I see. So that's how it is," Aiden said. "The reason you throw yourself at me and take my attacks head-on, despite knowing their strength, is because your life force is rooted in the existence of the universe itself."
Samael's eyes widened at first, hating the fact that card had been revealed, but almost immediately the grin returned.
"You've realized it" he said in mocking tone
Samael was using an evolved version of Gaia's law; "I am. I will always be. For my existence is rooted in creation."
With this law, Gaia's life force had been rooted fundamentally to Earth's existence, which made her nearly indestructible in any conventional sense.
To truly bring harm to Gaia, one would have to destroy the earth.
Samael had rooted his own life force to something far greater. The universe itself.
