WORLD BUILD/POWER SYSTEM

I'll start by saying that this book operates a very simple and easy to understand magic and power system.

TYPES OF MAGIC

A. [Origin Magic]:

This is the magic you're either born with, or you awakened. Sometimes you can directly inherit your Origin magic from a parent. In very few and rare cases, one may even inherit two origin magic from both their parents. Examples of Origin Magic: Fire Magic, Wind Magic, Gravity Magic, Time Magic, Chaos Magic, etc

B. [Supplementary Magic]:

These are other forms of magic that isn't your origin magic. These are mostly utility type spells. Example: Mana Pool Enhancement Spells, Body Transformation Spells, etc.

Access to supplementary magic techniques is the reason why a person with Lower magic strength might still have a good fighting chance against one with a higher magic strength.

Supplementary Spells are categorized into levels, they are;

1. Basic

2. Intermediate

3. Advanced

4. Sage

5. Master

6. King

7. Emperor

8. God

Example of a King level supplementary spell is "Mystic Field" (I don't want to go further than this to avoid giving spoilers.)

C. [Forbidden Magic]: These are forms of magic banned under the laws guiding the 9 Kingdoms. Examples are: Necromancy, Magic Require Sacrifice, etc. Punishment for Forbidden Magic is Death.

-----------------------------------------

MAGIC RANKS AND MANA POOL:

A. [Magic Ranks]: The Strength of a Mage's Origin magic is ranked.

The Ranks are E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, EX & Deity. These ranks show how powerful a magic technique could be.

For example: A simple fireball at the strength of S rank would hurt more than a fireball at B rank strength.

B. [Mana Pool]:

The Amount of Mana (Mana Pool) one has directly affects the strength of your magic. This means, a mage whose Origin magic strength is E-ranked will have the least mana, compared to another whose magic Strength is ranked S.

MAGIC TECHNIQUES/SPELLS:

"Where imagination ends, magic stops, for it is nothing less than the warping of reality."

People's Techniques are based off their imagination. What they can envision is what they can create.

However there are some Limitations! They Include:

1. How complex the spell is

2. The Amount of mana required to fuel the spell.

3. Difficulty with envisioning how the spell or its effects should work.

 --------------------------------------

MAGE RANKS:

1. High Enchanter

2. Arch Magister

3. Arcane Rank

4. Senior Rank

5. Junior Rank

6. Magic Apprentice Rank

7. Initiate Rank

8. Academy Rank

- The Academy level is where every new entry mage starts from. There are no sub levels under the Academy and High Enchanter Rank

 - There are 3 sub levels or stage for other ranks, which means an Initiate Ranked Mage starts at Initiate Stage 1 and gets to Stage 3 Initiate before then reaching Magic Apprentice.

[Climbing the Ranks/Gaining Positions]: Going up in the mage ranks, or isn't just based off magic capabilities and magic power alone. Certain other conditions are to be met.

-For example going from Academy to Initiate rank requires an Academy Ranked Mage to fulfill two conditions, which are;

(a) Gain A Certain Number Of Performance Points on their first mission.

(b) Successfully create one magic technique

Other Rank Progressions have different other requirements.

Titles like Guild Captain or Grand Magus, requires a great deal of Experience, Feats, and Recognition in the Kingdom.
