Chapter 21 - “Why Me?!”

Alaric pulled Nessa close and lowered his head to share a kiss on the lips with her, then turned toward Elara to share a kiss with her as well.

Both women smiled warmly as he pulled back, with their cheeks flushing red.

"My sweet beauties," Alaric said as he looked at them both again, then turned toward Aiden, who was still being bothered by his children.

"This here's Aiden," Alaric said, gesturing toward his guest. "The lad who fought by me and kept yer husband safe."

Both women turned to Aiden with grateful expressions.

"Thank you for watching over him," Nessa said sincerely.

"Any friend who protects our Alaric is welcome in our home," Elara added warmly.

"Come, let's all get inside," Alaric said, playfully patting both his wives on their ass, which made them turn their heads to the side in slight embarrassment, though they blushed even more with excitement.

Aiden tried to act like he hadn't witnessed that moment, and slowly they all made their way into the house together.

That night, Aiden lay on a bed in the guest room, staring at the wooden ceiling above.

He had been given a change of clothes, one of Alaric's from years past that fit him reasonably well.

The wooden ceiling did little to muffle the sounds coming from Alaric's chamber above.

The passionate voices of his host with both his wives carried through the floorboards all too clearly.

"Don't you dare slow down now, Alaric," came Elara's breathless voice.

A chorus of gasps and soft laughter tangled together, followed by Nessa's playful complaint: "Greedy Elara… leave some of him for me."

"Hah, yer two can't get enough of me, can ya?" Alaric responded, clearly proud of himself.

Without any form of embarrassment or shame, the sounds continued, with the floorboards rattling hard under their actions.

Aiden pulled a pillow over his head, trying to block out the noise, but it was no use.

"Why me?" he muttered in frustration while tossing and turning, as if cursing his luck.

Then a nasty thought came to his head, and he tried to get it away immediately.

He whispered to himself, 'No. Aiden no, don't do it"

But that only made it worse and the thought only just manifested itself more. Then right there, he really did do it.

His eyes took on the peculiar transformation into a dragon's and then he turned his head up towards the ceiling.

[Dragon Sight]

His vision penetrated through the ceiling, just as much as Alaric penetrated through Nessa and continued his thrusts, in and out of her.

Whilst Elara's lips brushed through Nessa's nipples as she exchanged between licking and sucking

Aiden's mouth was wide open at the very scene before him for just a brief second and then he recalled his senses, "Aiden you vile creature!"

He then shook his head and made the skill go away as he turned his head away in embarrassment

The next morning at breakfast, the family gathered around a wooden table with simple but hearty food spread before them.

Aiden sat quietly, still tired from his sleepless night, with a little feeling of guilt washing over him as he had violated Alaric's privacy.

Each time he remembered it, he would simply shake his head in an attempt to get it off his mind.

It felt like a bad way to repay the Kindness they had shown him thus far.

Also, he had learnt quite a bit about them the previous evening.

Alaric's wives had both been pregnant at the same time with their daughters, though Kira was born a month before Mira, making her the slightly older of the two.

Another thing of slight bother, were the daily quests that popped up earlier, just as he woke from whatever few minutes he got to shut his eye. However he chose to worry about it later.

"Can you make fire appear again?" Kira asked, her eyes bright with curiosity.

Aiden had shown them a small display of his magic the evening before, and the girls had talked about it until bedtime.

"Maybe I can show you later," Aiden said, amused by her question.

"So you're going to the magic school, right?" Mira asked excitedly, turning her head toward Aiden.

She sat on his left side while Kira sat on his right. This was apparently what they did when they had taken a liking to someone.

"I want to," Aiden replied.

"That's right, he's after joining that magic school," Alaric added between bites of his bread.

Nessa, who had been listening while serving food, looked up at Aiden with sudden concern.

"If you're planning to join the magic academy, you should head there soon. Eunice told me the other day that her daughter was going to enroll this year, and the assessment is today."

"Today?!" Aiden asked, with his eyes slightly widened at the realization.

"Yes, today," Nessa confirmed.
