At 32, Carl Johnson is at rock bottom: orphaned, single, and facing terminal pancreatic cancer. When death offers him a chance to be reborn in another world, he jumps at it without hesitation. And guess what? She’s trying to kill him. Literally. Trapped in a life spiraling out of control, Carl has to navigate family drama, deadly plots, and assassination attempts, all while figuring out how the hell to survive… and maybe even win the heart of the woman who wants him dead. Chapter 1 - Prologue: Is cancer better?

"CAAAARL!!"

"How long are you going to keep acting like a monster!?"

A sharp crack echoed through the office.

Crack.

A young girl with pink hair and rage-filled eyes was screaming at her older brother, Carl Ragnar.

"You ruined that poor girl's life—wasn't that enough? And now you go after her little sister!?"

"You're sick… A psychopath! Do you even realize that?"

She was trembling with anger, fists clenched tight.

"I refuse to believe I share the same blood as a monster like you…"

"M-Miss, please… don't speak that way to the master…" Lokia, the maid standing beside her, whispered timidly.

"Shut up, Lokia! Do you even know what that bastard's done this time? Do you!?"

"I… I…" she stammered, unable to speak.

BAM!

Carl, who had remained motionless and silent until now, suddenly stood up and slammed his hands on the desk. The wood groaned beneath his palms.

The two women flinched.

"What? Go ahead—hit me, like you always do. Or do to me what you did to that girl. What are you waiting for, huh? Come on, do it!"

She held out her cheek, defiantly, eyes full of hate.

Carl slowly walked toward her.

"Hey… you…" Rose muttered, closing her eyes, bracing for the blow.

Lokia froze, ready to intervene at the slightest move.

But against all expectations…

Carl said nothing.

He walked past his sister…

And left the room with heavy steps, without a single word.

A heavy silence fell.

In the hallway, as he walked away, a bitter smirk crept onto his lips.

Then, a whisper, barely audible:

"Dear divinity… I think I'd rather die of cancer after all…"

He paused for a second. Closed his eyes.

And in a breath laced with fury and despair:

"Send me back to Earth… you son of a bitch…"
