Thud, Thud, Thud, Bounce!
"Crap!" the demon cursed angrily as it came to a halt in the middle of the streets, eyes blazing with fury as it looked around. No one could be seen.
The whole area looked completely deserted, with only a few abandoned cars scattered across the road. The eerie silence added to the tension that filled the air.
'Huh?'
"Do you know why it took me time to get here?" Drey's calm yet sharp voice echoed as he walked out of the alleyway, his sheath nowhere to be seen.
His sword, however, gleamed in his hand. Ever since the hunter had drawn the blade, the demon had noticed something off about it. The blade was glowing with a soft white hue.
It wasn't the usual metallic shine — it was white, almost like when Jasmine had glowed earlier, but this one felt completely different. Now, holding the sword downward, Drey kept walking forward until he stopped roughly five metres away.
