Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 :Between sleep and spirits part 1

"Have you ever heard of astral projection, doctor?"

"Yes, but isn't that just a fraud?" the doctor replied.

"No. This is something I have personally experienced. Dreaming itself is a form of unconscious astral projection. When we say astral projection, it can also be described as the subtle body, or the soul. The true meaning of astral projection is separating the soul from the physical body. It is not something invented by any particular person. Since ancient times, many cultures have described this phenomenon."

There are four stages to perform astral projection.

First is the Monroe Technique, second is the Rope Technique, third is the Hammock Technique, and fourth is the Stretch Out Technique. Now, I will explain how to carry out these steps. Only by completing all four stages can the soul leave our body.

The Monroe Technique was explained by psychologist Robert A. Monroe, and the technique was named after him. Let me explain how this stage is done.

Peter took a deep breath and then began to explain the first stage.

"First, our body must reach a hypnotic stage. Lie down completely relaxed. Even when we close our eyes, we use a few muscles. At this stage, even that must be in a relaxed state. The goal is to reach 100% concentration where the body is no longer under our control complete relaxation. The most important point is that astral projection cannot be done if the person is distracted by any light or sound. What we truly need is a completely sealed room. But in this situation, that's not possible. What we must do is bring Rose's tent into such a state. When I did it, it was usually after falling asleep and waking up around midnight, maybe around two a.m., using an alarm. But Rose can't do that. So, it's better for her to attempt it at night itself. After lying down in the usual way, both hands must be relaxed to the maximum."

Enter the hypnotic stage.

There are a few ways to know when you have reached the hypnotic stage. The body of the person attempting it will begin to vibrate. Sometimes, if blood circulation doesn't flow properly to the legs, they won't vibrate. In the same way, the entire body of the practitioner begins to vibrate. This is a symptom, and about 60% of people experience it.

Another common experience is seeing a dark cave you are traveling through the cave, and at the end of it, there is a light. You journey toward that light.

These two symptoms are what Rose experiences in the initial stage of astral projection. Through the Monroe Technique, Rose is able to reach this state. Once it becomes clear that this stage is complete, the next phase must begin.

ROPE TECHNIQUE.

When Rose's body is lying completely relaxed, imagine that a rope is hanging in front of her for her to climb. She should try to climb up using that rope not with her physical muscles or organs, but simply through thought and intent. Focus entirely on this image. Through the ROPE TECHNIQUE, Rose can certainly lift both the upper and lower parts of her body. Only after confirming that the soul has fully separated from the body 100% should she proceed to the next stage, the HAMMOCK TECHNIQUE.

"Doctor, do you know Sudarshan Kriya?"

He nodded, indicating that he did.

"That is exactly the HOMMOCK TECHNIQUE. Inhale in a specific breathing pattern. First, take one breath that's the first step. In the second step, take in and release two breaths. Then, in the third step, take four breaths. After that, return to the first step, then the second, and then again the third with four breaths. Continue repeating this breathing pattern. Your full concentration must remain on your breathing. At that point, Rose will reach a spiritual level. Then Rose will be separated from the real world. At the same time, the fourth step, known as the STRETCH OUT TECHNIQUE, must be performed."

"This stage is simple. She has to visualize whatever she desires, she must visualize it and bring it before her eyes. Now, what I am going to explain are the advantages and disadvantages of this stage. First, the advantages: by doing this, she can completely free herself from that condition. She can gain peaceful sleep, and her wishes can be fulfilled through it."

Now let me speak about the darker side. When I first tried this, I couldn't succeed. As a side effect, I developed migraines. The pain was far beyond what I could even put into thoughts. Then, for several days, I lost my sleep and by days I mean six long months. I even tried sleeping pills, but they never helped me fall asleep. It was a terrifying, miserable condition. Eventually, through many days of meditation and yoga, I was able to erase it from myself. Those six months were the worst days of my life.

That's when I truly realized how beautiful the state of sleep really is.I had discovered a way to make it easier. But even then, I could never bring myself to try it again. So instead, I had someone else attempt the experiment. It involved a mantra the person performing it had to recite it. Hearing this, the doctor's expression shifted into something peculiar, which Peter immediately noticed.

"Between sleep and spirits , that is the mantra. It must be spoken during the stage of the HOMMOCK TECHNIQUE, while breathing in that sequence. It isn't magic or anything supernatural. There's a reason behind it. The mantra works as a way of instructing the body and mind during astral projection, guiding them to release the soul more easily. In short, it helps the spirit step out of the body swiftly. I even gave it a name of my own."

"Then how do we bring Rose's spirit back into her body once it leaves?" the doctor asked, weariness heavy in his voice.

"That's the part I was coming to," Peter continued. "The same breathing pattern Rose used to exit must be reversed. In other words, she must take four breaths, then two, then one. Repeating this two or three times will draw her spirit back, and Rose will awaken in her body. This is astral projection."

"What was the wish of the person you guided into astral projection?" the doctor asked him.

"He had no father or mother. The only family he truly had was a younger brother. His parents had died in an accident when they were very young. After that, it was his uncle and aunt who raised them. Because he had seen his parents' faces only in childhood, he never forgot them. The sole reason he wanted astral projection was to see their faces once more.

I had once placed an advertisement in the newspaper. That's how he came seeking me with this request. At that time, I also needed someone to carry out this project. So, I agreed. He never told me his name. But through sheer effort, he succeeded in achieving it. But a few days later, he came back again. He told me something was haunting him. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw a vision his parents brutally killing both him and his younger brother. He said it felt like he was dying a little more each day. From then on, he was terrified of falling asleep. There's something else I forgot to tell you. Once astral projection is complete, and the soul separates from the body, it enters the spiritual world. That's where a person encounters what they most desire. Whatever lies deep within their heart can appear before them there. But the danger is real there's always a high chance of severe side effects. Sometimes it can even lead to death. Of course, in rare cases, nothing happens at all. I spent a long time researching, trying to find a way to help him. But a week later, I read in the newspaper that he had died. So, Doctor, think carefully before giving me your answer. Still, I can promise you this whatever happened to him will never happen to Rose. Because I have another way for that," Peter said, then paused.

Suddenly, the doctor told him this would not work. It was far too dangerous. You already experienced migration, and someone else even died. Aren't we just pushing her from one danger into another? That is why we must abandon this. It doesn't matter whether what you said is real or not. What matters is her life."

Not long after, Peter bid farewell and left. The doctor leaned back against his suitcase. He picked up a nearby book and placed it over his face. Then he began thinking about what Peter had said. Dr. John Samuel had, since long ago, the habit of putting a book over his face whenever he was deep in thought. The wind outside seemed to join him in his reflection.
