Chapter 2 - Tadpole Martial Soul? Innate Full Soul Power

"Children, I am your guide, Su Yuntao, a Level 26 Soul Grand Master. I will now awaken your Martial Souls."

After a simple introduction, Su Yuntao took out six black stones and arranged them in a Hexagram Array on the ground.

He also held a blue crystal ball.

"Alright, everyone, come in order. Don't panic, no matter what you see."

Su Yuntao's attitude was much gentler towards the children.

There were nine children in total.

When the first child stood in the center of the Hexagram Array, Su Yuntao suddenly shouted.

"Lone Wolf. Martial Soul Fusion!"

In the eyes of Ye Qiu and Tang San, as well as all the other children, there was amazement, even shock.

The muscles on Su Yuntao's body visibly bulged, his eyes turned green, and he began to take on several wolf-like features.

"Don't be afraid, close your eyes and feel it carefully."

Su Yuntao gently soothed the child within the Hexagram Array, guiding him to awaken his Martial Soul.

A flicker of curiosity passed through Ye Qiu's eyes.

The Hexagram Array, which was made of black stones, began to shine with golden light, and specks of light entered the boy's body.

"Hold out your right hand."

Su Yuntao's emerald-green eyes fixed on the boy, issuing the command with authority.

The boy instinctively extended his right hand.

In an instant, all the light points that had just entered his body surged forth.

A sickle appeared in his palm.

"Alright, let's test your soul power!"

Su Yuntao passed over the blue crystal ball in his hand, not a trace of disappointment in his eyes.

Accustomed to the process, he announced:

"Child, your Martial Soul has no soul power!"

After that child dejectedly left the stage, the Martial Soul Awakening Ceremony continued without a hitch.

"Sour Cucumber Martial Soul, no soul power, next!"

"Photinia Martial Soul, no soul power, next!"

"..."

"Martial Soul Blue Silver Grass, no soul power, next!"

Soon, the first seven children had already completed their Martial Soul awakenings.

It was no surprise.

None of them possessed Innate Soul Power and couldn't become honored Soul Masters.

Next up was Tang San.

Su Yuntao's voice was almost mechanical. "Martial Soul: Blue Silver Grass, no... Wait!"

"Hiss—! Innate Full Soul Power... How is this possible?!"

Su Yuntao took a sharp intake of breath.

Looking at the blue crystal ball in his hand, his eyes were filled with shock.

"It's actually Innate Full Soul Power!"

Tang San looked at the ordinary little grass in his hand, his expression full of curiosity.

"What a pity! What a pity it's a useless Martial Soul!"

After his initial shock, Su Yuntao couldn't help but sigh again.

"Useless Martial Soul?"

Tang San was bewildered.

He didn't have much of a concept of Martial Souls yet.

But the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record told him never to reveal everything about himself easily.

Therefore,

At this moment, Tang San was tightly clenching his left hand.

There was a hammer there!

"What a pity, next."

Su Yuntao composed himself, dismissed Tang San, and turned his gaze to the last person, Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu followed suit, standing within the Hexagram Array.

As Su Yuntao injected his Soul Power,

Ye Qiu only saw golden light entering his body and immediately felt his blood begin to boil.

It felt as though something was about to burst forth.

Thin strands of black energy coiled around Ye Qiu's entire body.

Seeing this, Su Yuntao's eyes lit up. He softly instructed, "Child, quickly extend your right hand."

Ye Qiu raised his right hand as instructed.

Immediately, golden light erupted, and dark light shone brightly, constantly gathering.

Tang San, who had been about to leave, also stopped because of the commotion Ye Qiu had caused.

As Ye Qiu's Martial Soul appeared, hope shone in Su Yuntao's eyes. Then, he was dumbfounded.

"How... how is it a little... tadpole?!"

Hearing this, he focused his gaze.

Ye Qiu's expression also darkened.

Damn, is this a frog's ancestral return? Wouldn't it be true that he jinxed it!

He saw, on Ye Qiu's middle fingertip... Laying there was a comma-shaped little tadpole, mainly black, with white symbols like a pair of eyes occupying half its body.

"Still a useless Martial Soul."

Su Yuntao shook his head, unenthusiastically.

Even if it's just a tadpole, it's really too small! Low vitality, unhealthy! He thought this child was going to do something big, but he ended up pulling out a small fry.

Ye Qiu sighed, but he wasn't too disappointed.

Although the Martial Soul wasn't great, he could feel that he had Soul Power within him. That's enough for him to take a gamble!

As for the specific level, Ye Qiu wasn't sure, but he didn't have high expectations.

Tang San, seeing that everything had settled, didn't stay any longer.

Although Su Yuntao was greatly disappointed, he didn't forget his duty.

"Come on, let's test your Innate Soul Power!"

"Okay."

Ye Qiu calmly extended his small hand and placed it on the crystal ball.

In the blink of an eye.

The crystal ball in his hand was filled with brilliant light.

"Innate Full Soul Power!!"

Su Yuntao exclaimed in surprise, his eyes widening, followed by a deep sense of regret.

What kind of misfortune had he encountered! He had actually awakened two Martial Souls with Innate Full Soul Power, both of which were useless!

Tang San, who was about to leave, stopped in his tracks upon hearing the exclamation, looking at Ye Qiu with surprise.

Unlike Su Yuntao's deep regret.

Ye Qiu was ecstatic, his black pearl-like eyes shining especially brightly.

His Martial Soul was definitely not ordinary! Ye Qiu could be sure of that!

Innate Full Soul Power was enough to handle any doubts! "Sigh, what a pity."

Su Yuntao shook his head helplessly.

He could only pick up the paper and pen, and truthfully record Ye Qiu's Martial Soul and Innate Full Soul Power.

Ye Qiu didn't say anything.

It wasn't the right time to clear the name of his Martial Soul.

His words carried little weight now.

Perhaps when he went to Notting City to register as a Soul Master, he would be discovered and recruited?

At that time, the choice would be entirely his.

Not long after.

Almost in tears, Su Yuntao led Ye Qiu and Tang San to the wooden house.

Old Jack came forward eagerly.

"Master, how is it? Are there any children in our village who can become Soul Masters?"

The arrogance on Su Yuntao's face lessened slightly, replaced by a hint of pity.

He spoke with some reluctance.

"Old Jack, congratulations!"

"This year, your village has produced two talents! Take a look for yourself."

He hadn't even finished speaking.

Su Yuntao stuffed the two Martial Soul certificates into Old Jack's arms.

Then, he hurried to leave.

"Alright, I have a heavy workload, so I won't stay any longer."

However.

Before Su Yuntao could get far.

Old Jack's wails plunged two more knives into his heart.

"My heavens—!"

"Innate Full Soul Power! What? Two useless Martial Souls?!"

Old Jack felt like he was dreaming.

The words "Innate Full Soul Power" and "useless Martial Soul" were making his head spin.

Seeing Old Jack staggering,

Su Yuntao felt a bit better, and quickly left.

"Truly, a stroke of bad luck!"

Old Jack was heartbroken. Two with Innate Full Soul Power!

Ye Qiu raised his hand to cover his ears.

Helplessly, he said, "Grandpa Jack, don't hurt yourself from shouting."

"Sigh..."

Old Jack sighed helplessly.

After composing himself, he squatted down and gently patted Ye Qiu and Tang San on the head.

He comforted them, saying, "You two shouldn't be discouraged. At least you can become Soul Masters, right? In a while, Grandpa will send you to the Soul Master Academy."

Ye Qiu smiled and nodded, generously offering Old Jack a handful of candy.

"Thank you, Grandpa Jack. How about some candy?"

Old Jack chuckled.

"Alright, I won't eat for nothing. How about I treat you to a meal? Come on, Xiao San."

Tang San, though puzzled, gently shook his head.

"Old Jack, I won't go. Dad's waiting for me to cook. I need to ask him about school first."

"Tsk, that deadbeat drunk of a father of yours is really a headache."

Old Jack frowned in disapproval.

Tang San's eyes flickered slightly, but he didn't argue.

"In that case... Grandpa will go with you."

"..."

I wish you all a happy life!
