At the conclusion of the battle, the Kidō Corps and Detention Force began clearing the battlefield, while members of the Fourth Division Medical Corps moved swiftly among the wounded, stabilizing injuries and restoring Reiatsu circulation.
On the Shinigami side, there were no fatalities.
However, the cost of victory was far from light.
Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni had suffered catastrophic injuries. his left arm was completely lost, and his Reiatsu remained unstable.
Suì-Fēng sustained a severe abdominal wound and was carried away on a medical stretcher.
Shiba Kaien lay unconscious, his spiritual pathways heavily damaged.
Komamura Sajin had multiple fractures throughout his body.
Zaraki Kenpachi, having fought two consecutive battles, one of them against Kuchiki Rukia stood drenched in blood, his body covered in deep, crisscrossing scars.
Additionally, Kensei Muguruma had been smashed into the ground by Yhwach's subordinate and severely injured, though thanks to Inoue Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka, his body was completely restored.
Chad (Yasutora Sado) and Uryū Ishida sustained only minor injuries.
Aside from them, no other combatants were harmed.
On the opposing side, Ulquiorra Cifer survived, while Tier Harribel retreated after exchanging Shiba Kaien for the lives of her three Fracción.
As for Ichimaru Gin, he was captured alive and placed under heavy restraint.
"The basic sealing has already been applied," Urahara Kisuke said calmly, standing beside the immobilized Aizen Sōsuke. "But if we want to completely suppress him, we'll need specialized spiritual containment tools."
Aizen stood motionless, eyes closed, his Reiatsu locked down by layered restraints.
"There's no need to worry about that."
A familiar, unpleasant voice echoed through the area.
Kurotsuchi Mayuri stepped forward, his expression twisted into an eerie grin. "I'll personally design a device capable of suppressing his spiritual pressure indefinitely."
"Isn't that Captain Kurotsuchi?" Urahara replied with a gentle smile. "It's been a while."
"I would have preferred never seeing you again," Mayuri snapped.
"All right," Hirako Shinji said, standing alongside the Visored. "Everything's settled. We should be leaving."
He turned toward Kurotsuki Renya.
"This time… thank you."
Renya bowed deeply to the eight members of the Visored.
"Without your help, it would have been impossible to stop Aizen completely."
Shinji laughed softly. "You're one of us. Helping you is only natural."
Yadōmaru Lisa nodded. "And solving Aizen's case clears our names. The incident from a hundred and ten years ago can finally be laid to rest."
"Let's go already!" Hiyori Sarugaki waved impatiently. "I don't wanna stay in Seireitei another second."
With the exception of Yoruichi Shihōin and Urahara Kisuke, the Visored exited through the Central Senkaimon, leaving Soul Society behind.
"It's finally over," Yoruichi stretched lazily, ruffling Renya's hair. "You did good, brat."
"Don't touch my hair!" Renya snapped
but Yoruichi vanished in a flash.
"Bring Aizen to the underground prison," Renya ordered the Detention Force.
He personally escorted Aizen toward the Central Prison Route, intending to oversee the process until judgment was complete.
He still had things he wanted to say to Aizen.
Three days later.
The verdict was announced by Central 46.
Former Fifth Division Captain, Aizen Sōsuke,
was sentenced to 18,800 years of imprisonment in Muken, the Eighth Prison of the Underground Prison.
Bound to a sealing chair, Aizen smiled mockingly.
"You believe you're qualified to judge me?"
"Prisoner Aizen," an official voice declared, "continued insolence will result in your sentence being extended to twenty thousand years."
The Detention Force lifted the chair and escorted him out.
Renya followed silently. He wanted to see Aizen imprisoned with his own eyes.
At the First Division barracks, Yamamoto faced Aizen.
"In Muken," Yamamoto said solemnly, "reflect on your sins."
Aizen chuckled. "And what sin would that be?"
Yamamoto turned away. "Take him."
The keys to Muken were personally managed by the Captain-Commander.
Renya was permitted to accompany the procession due to his direct involvement and insistence that Aizen's imprisonment be witnessed.
After Aizen was sealed, Yamamoto and Renya did not leave immediately. Instead, they proceeded deeper to a separate sealed chamber.
Muken was not a single cell.
The Hōgyoku was housed elsewhere.
A massive containment box stood before them.
"Urahara Kisuke has entrusted the forbidden sealing technique to you," Yamamoto said. "Proceed."
Renya stepped forward. The box half a person tall was covered in five Reiatsu receptors.
The container required five distinct Reiatsu signatures, each precise in type and quantity.
Its material matched Aizen's chair constructed from Sekkiseki composites and Reiatsu-suppression technology, nearly indestructible save for beings like Yhwach.
Renya opened the box.
Inside lay a fragmented Hōgyoku.
He placed the second Hōgyoku within, sealed it, and injected his Reiatsu.
The container locked shut.
"Let's go."
As they exited, Yamamoto spoke again.
"Your contribution in defeating Aizen is immeasurable. Central 46 intends to grant you noble status."
"Noble…?" Renya was surprised.
"Yes. Mid-level nobility, if approved."
Renya did not refuse. Only then would he stand equal to Suì-Fēng, who herself belonged to a noble house.
"One more thing," Yamamoto added. "Zero Division extended an invitation to the Royal Palace."
Renya frowned. "I decline."
Once someone ascended to the Soul King Palace, returning was nearly impossible.
Yamamoto nodded. "I expected as much. I already refused on your behalf."
"Thank you, Captain-Commander."
Renya hesitated, then asked, "What of Ichimaru Gin?"
"He will be judged tomorrow. I'll inform Central 46 of his undercover role," Yamamoto replied. "But his involvement in the rebellion means imprisonment is unavoidable."
Renya nodded, choosing not to mention Gin's past murder of a Fifth Division officer.
The Quincy War was coming. Soul Society would need Gin's strength.
With that, Renya departed.
Returning to the Fifth Division barracks, he dismissed everyone, entered his quarters, and shut the door.
He raised his right hand.
Two Hōgyoku fragments shimmered into view.
This
was the true purpose behind everything.
