Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

When Amelia woke up, she found herself wrapped in a fur blankets and there is also thick fur under her body. Jon sat a small distance from her, keeping vigil. Seeing her wake up, he looked down in self reproach. "Sorry for being rough. I got carried away." A good man. He acknowledges his own mistakes and takes responsibility.

Amelia smiled at him. "Thanks for the blankets, I feel very warm. But why are you all the way out there?" She chuckled, her entire body buried in a pile of fur. Looking at him with a teasing smile.

"What is your name?" Jon had just wanted to speak when, to his astonishment realized he doesn't know her name.

"My name is Amelia Alzard. Illegitimate daughter of the great demon king Euborus Alzard of the throne of dark destruction." She smiled when she saw his eyes widen, then return to normal before widening again.

"Yours?" She ignored his many expressions and asked him this question blinking lightly as if the serious tone of voice full of power she had used a moment ago was nothing but a dream.

"Jon. My name is Jon Snow." He answered her careful to look at her every expression incase he missed the moment she started to despise him for being a bastard.

Amelia tilted her head but she didn't hide the annoyance in her eyes, speaking in a low voice she wondered out loud. "Snow? is this game of thrones, or are you mocking me?" He felt annoyance at the answer. Using a fictional character to mock her.

"Are you looking down on me for being a bastard too?" Amelia looked at him unamused.

"Are you saying this is Westeros?" She sat up with a frown on her beautiful small face. It is quickly replaced by a serious expression.

"Bastard or not, I am also an illegitimate child in my family. Why do you think I am here? My half siblings poisoned my supplies and then encircled by castle with their joint armies." She rolled her eyes feeling exasperated.

"You.. have a castle?" Jon asked with wonder in his eyes.

"Of course, I am a princess, was a princess. That castle was built when I was born. But so what? A babe in a crater doesn't need all these, only a mother's warmth and love can appease a child's restless heart. Unfortunately father only brought me back with him from his travels, not a word about mother or even who she is.

Even more infuriating, the woman he is married to hated me to the bone. She and her children made my life a living hell while he disappeared to his travels again, leaving me to face them all by myself." Amelia had spoken for a while now, her words sad and full of sorrow.

Out of the blue she felt Jon envelop her in a tight hug. She didn't continue to rant seeing her goal was achieved. "My stepmother hates me too. For as long as I can remember, she had one look when facing me. Whether as a toddler of now, at 17 name days. Her eyes have always been honest when facing me." He didn't speak too loud but she heard him.

When I awakened the ancient power of the royal bloodline I was terrified they'd kill me off directly. So I hid it. But then, our kingdom was attacked and they stayed in their castles not daring to meet the enemy in the battlefield."

She kept silent remembering scenes from the demon world ask her siblings stood by and watch as hordes of humans entered the territory unchallenged.

"What happened next?" Jon asked curious.

"I couldn't stand it. I acted and killed every single one of the enemy army. Silently and without picking up a sword. It was horrible. I came silently and left even more quiet.

The power of my bloodline it truly horrible. My siblings seem to find me too much of a threat and poisoned my rations leading to me shuffling through dimensions which lead me here. I was hoping that after seeing me awaken the ancestry power, they would accept me and we could finally be real siblings.

I was naïve." Amelia closed her eyes and expelled the last of the poison in her system.

....

The two races, demons and humans have one defining trait. humans have the ability to cultivate mana in the air, drawing it into their bodies and nurturing their mana seed buried deep in their hearts.

Demons on the other hand have the option to cultivate demonic power, pure mana and feeding off humans and other living beings with magic.

That is why they are called 'demonic.' As the name suggests something unholy. The ability to gain strength by feeding off others is not a 'righteous' path according to the humans.

Amelia is an outlier as a mixed being from both human and demonic bloodline. Her demonic talent is overly taxing on her half human body so she needed to 'compensate' by consuming humans with magic in their blood.

Amelia had refused to cultivate like an actual demon but decided to instead take advantage of the fact that she can also draw mana in the air into her body like humans to cultivate.

That went well until the day she devoured nearly a million lives in a span of a few minutes. This has in return made her power very unstable. It is brimming with vitality and her body can barely keep it in check. Too much mana in the body can in fact explode the body even though it belongs to a half demon.

Amelia understood this much, which is why she had used a refinement technique to pull most of the mana stored in her body out. She transformed it into life essence infused with pure mana and it became a multicolored liquid.

A single drop of this liquid can heal any injuries, grant eternal youth and even cleanse the body of corruption from demonic aura.

Just as she had finished refining the life essence of all those humans into pure mana dew for her cultivation, she was attacked by her siblings. The size of this pool of life essence is as large as 20 meters long, 5 meters wide and 8 meters deep.

The refinement method to make it was studied by her from the library when she was looking for alternative methods other than the crude method if eating and drinking the blood of human mages.

At the very least, this method will not make her body reek of blood and she will not lose her mind from consuming human meat. As a former human, she had found the idea barbaric and uncivilized.

When she found this manual it was in a forbidden area because no one without the power of 'devour' could touch it. From then on she learnt it's secrets and mastered it without a clear goal of when to use it.

Using it would mean using g her power which was still a secret at the time. It wasn't until the human army came to her door step their actions begging to become an ingredient in her cultivation.

Luckily Amelia is finally able to access her storage space. She took out a fasting pill to stave off hunger. After getting all the poison out of her body, the latent royal bloodline would have healed her body completely from the stab wounds if she was a full demon but she is only a halfling. Which means she needs to use the 'life essence' in her space to recover completely.

Her siblings must have banked on just weakening her with the poison, so they would attack and kill her afterwards.

They didn't think she would escape. That rune was supposed to send her back to her home in the 21st century, it is something Amelia had been working on for a while now. It must have been faulty and instead sent her to the world of 'game of thrones.'

Her body recovered and she entered her dark dimension finding a lot of changes inside. In the past, she had opened space for planting her magic herbs so she can use them when making her pills and potions. Now that space has increased and the top of the space is no longer full of demonic dark energy.

In fact, her demonic aura is almost nonexistent now. The space must have responded to the changes in the world energies around her. This is not a good thing for Amelia, she likes her demonic energy it allows her dominion over creatures below her strength.

Her 'devour' natural ability let's her steal life essence from living beings for cultivation. This power alone is demonic. Amelia absolutely doesn't want to lose it.

"I tore open space and time to leave my family. You should also look into it." Jon chuckled at her joke. "Does everyone have magic in where you come from?" He asked.

"No, some are more talented than others." She answered him seriously.

"I am guessing you are amongst the most talented to have arrived here through time and space?"

"I'd like to think so, but I studied that rune before and was determined to use it to leave that place. I just never imagined I would come to Westeros. In my world, this place only exist in stories and legends. To actually be here is a bit disappointing since I had a destination in mind but, at least I know where I am." She felt Jon instinctively tighten his arms around her.

Pretending to be casual he asked. "Where did you want to go?"

"Modern earth. It's full of wonders from development of technology which this world is completely stagnant in." She grumbled.

"Are you going to try and go there again?" This time he made his displeasure clear with a low growl that came out with the question.

"No ways, this place may not give much convenience but I have heard about it. How can I waste an opportunity to explore? Besides, I used a lot more than my own power to crack open space. It is simply no longer possible to do again."

"What did you hear about this world?" He asked relaxing slightly. He couldn't help an up turn on his lips as he asked her casually.

"Ancient magic buried by scholars who fear it, dread it and civet it but can never possess it since it depends on bloodline. Something they have no control over. So they buried it, hid it and even prosecuted it."

A world run by scholars with no crown. They don't hold strength, wealth or political power but they are the invisible hand behind every major event in this world.

"Let me check the injuries." She sat crossed legged and studied her body carefully.

"Tsk.. they really wanted me dead didn't they? Heh.. sorry to disappoint you dear siblings." Her worlds are spoken with all the sarcasm she could muster.

"I have recovered my mental force. Which means I can now expel the poison out from my body." She laughed happily.

The 'heart root' is a sinister poison that feeds on power and mana. It settles in the heart and put down deep roots in the organ sucking all the mana and power of the mage or demon.

The stronger one is, the faster it kills them. Amelia is a bit flattered by her siblings. They took her too serious to use such a precious item on her. It seems they don't look down on her anymore.

'Heh'

'Leave it to demons to respect you when they mean to kill you.' Amelia is very resentful about that family.

Amelia is an alchemist and had studied this poison thoroughly. She gathered the poison into one place, removing one root at a time using her refinement technique which can technically refine anything under the heavens.

She then pulled out a blade from her holster on the side of her thigh and stabbed it directly to her chest. Blood pushed out dyeing the fur red.

Jon stood up abruptly wanting ti stop her but also not wanting to disturb her. What kind of 'curing poison' is this? Is the world of magic so complicated?

Amelia wrapped her heart in refinement qi which she generated after the massacre, it moved the poison out with the help of her mental force.

Jon watched in horror as purple mist came out from the bleeding wound dissipating in the air. This poison can not be inhaled in the air or used to infect others through another person.

It needs to be consumed right after refinement. Which means even if she had slept with Jon, he was never in danger of being poisoned.

Amelia passed out again.

Jon has already lit up fire. "You didn't leave." Amelia said noting the darkness outside.

"I was worried a wild beast will enter here while you slumber." He said in a soft almost inaudible voice.

"Thank you. Jon." She stood up feeling refreshed. Her bloodline started to help her negate the chill in the air. Jon watched her stand up without wearing any clothes. His eyes darkened, in a few steps she fell into his arms.

His face buried in her chest, a contented grunt left his throat. "Oh my, hehehe.." She giggled as he felt ticklish with his breath on face on her sensitive parts.

"I want to take a bath." She said pushing him away. With a wave of her hand, a bath tub appeared already full of warm water.

Jon watched her enter the wooden tub. There is space on the side with liquid soap, hand towel and a sponge.

She took out another one with the same things for Jon to bathe. "That one is yours."

"How?"

"I have many this stored in a separate space. I can take them out and use them with a single thought. Inside, things remain as good as new without rust, rot or decay. The space is large enough for me to place many wooden bathing tubs filled with warm water to use when I go hunting or am cultivating outside my home."

"Separate space? Its sounds very convenient." Jon commented, taking the soap and imitating her movements of applying it on the towel and then scrubbing his body.

"It is. Some mages extend the space of a simple bag, allowing it to be able to carry a hundred ton of things. The bag itself will not become heavy with every item added inside. That's magic for you. Very useful." She quickly washed up before the water cools down.

Then she took out cotton clothes. Long sleeve, polo necks, Sox, boots and warm pants two sets. One for females and one in Jon's size.

"I don't know where you will say you got this type of clothes from. But I don't want to have to freezing out here while I have the ability to help." She said helping him put on the outfit.

"You look handsome." She blinked, taken aback and then smiled in delight.

"Thank you." He picked up his old clothes. Amelia gave him a ring. It looks dull with its entire body made from brown space stone.

"Drop your blood on it. You can put your clothes inside." Jon shook his head.

"Why refuse? Do you have another space item with hundred acres of space inside?" She frowned unhappily. Jon felt distressed when she frowned like that. He quickly took the ugly ring away.

"Thank you. I just thought it it too precious. That's all." He quickly explained.

"Oh, no I have many such space items. I gave you an ugly looking one because it will bring you trouble if its too conspicuous."

"No, its not ugly. Thank you so much." He quickly dropped his blood on it and it shined brightly before sticking into his finger as if it is part of it."

"You're welcome." She took away the dress she had been wearing before and watched Jon put his furs, and clothes into his own space ring.

"You learn fast." She mused. Looking around. "I probably should leave here."

"Where would you go?" Jon asked holding his breath.

"I don't know. But this is took close to the lord Paramount. Who is the king?" She asked Jon who answered immediately.

"King Robert Baratheon." Then his eyes shone with brilliance. "What happened to me? I feel different after..." He didn't say but Amelia k ewe what he is talking about.

"I am not human. At least not completely. My father is fae. Or as the humans call him, demons lord. That allows me the ability to feed off energy from humans and share my power."

"You were willing to help me with your body so my virgin essence also awakened a power in your blood. What it is, you will have to see it fir yourself. But it also increases your physical strength making you stronger and faster than normal humans."

"What is Fae?"

"A species comprised of many types of fantasy like beings. From benchees to men who can turn into wolves, and everything in between. My father could turn into a giant serpent with power over fire and darkness." She said with pride.

"My father had 9 heads in his true form. How about it? Are you scared yet?" She gave a wicked smile but to her surprise, Jon pulled her hand and looked her un the eyes. He opened his mouth and asked her with a serious expression

"How many heads did you inherit from him?"

"Hahahaha..." She laughed at him. "I was born in this form, it takes several hundred years to gain a second form. To my family I am just human, another reason for them to despise me. Father had brought home a half human half fea baby that year." By the end, her amused expression is already gone.
