Synopsis
In the unforgiving wastelands of Meteor City, a 16-year-old boy named Silas awakens a mysterious Nen ability unlike any other: the “Infinite Surprise Blind Box.” Each blind box he opens draws from every world real, magical, or imagined offering him unpredictable skills, weapons, and secrets. With this power in hand, Silas escapes the shadows of poverty and violence to carve out a name in the chaotic world of Hunter x Hunter. After an explosive entrance into the underworld, Silas catches the eye of Light Nostrade, a minor mafia boss seeking to rise in power. With prophetic visions from Light’s daughter Nion Nostrade and Silas’s uncanny strength, the Nostrade Family begins its meteoric rise. Now the newly appointed captain of the bodyguards, Silas must protect Nion, navigate mafia politics, and prepare for destiny-shaping events like the Olympia Martial Arts Tournament at Sky Arena. But danger lurks in every corner: rival gangsters, assassins, and perhaps even Netero himself. As the blind boxes continue to unlock powers from other dimensions including legendary weapons and rare skills Silas must decide how to wield his fortune… and whether fate can truly be outwitted. A fanfiction blending original creativity with the rich lore of Hunter x Hunter, this story is a thrilling mix of battle, strategy, world-crossing powers, and the pursuit of something greater than Nen itself.

In the silent wilderness, Silas gazed at the glowing status screen visible only to him and gave a satisfied nod.

"Not bad. I've finally become a Nen user."

He looked up at the sky. As the blood-red sunset faded, stars were already beginning to scatter across the deepening twilight.

With a single thought, the glowing panel vanished from view.

Even if someone else could see it, they wouldn't understand what it said.

That was because in this world, the common written language was Hunter Script.

Silas was a traveler from a planet called Blue Star. And the world he had landed in now was none other than the world of Hunter x Hunter, an infamously dangerous realm on his original world's risk index!

This was a place rife with conspiracy and sudden death. One careless move could mean a mysterious and meaningless end, buried who-knows-where.

And as for where Silas currently was

Meteor City.

A place cast aside by the world. A wasteland heaped with the world's discarded trash and abandoned lives.

According to official records, Meteor City was considered a no-man's land.

Even if a baby were left here, no national registry would record their birth. No physical records would ever exist.

No one outside knew how the people here survived, what kind of education they received, or what beliefs they followed.

For Silas , this meant one crucial advantage: after arriving in this world, he didn't have to worry about anyone tracing his identity or past.

And because of this environment, the city had naturally produced many powerful individuals.

"Luckily, I've awakened my Nen. At least now I can defend myself."

Silas opened his [Infinite Surprise Blind Box] ability screen again and let out a quiet sigh.

"I never thought... it would be a blind box."

Back on his original planet, he had just been playing a silly mobile game about opening blind boxes when he was suddenly transported to this world.

Somehow, that little game had come with him.

And now, it had become his Nen ability.

Nen Ability: [Infinite Surprise Blind Box]

Ability Description:

You can unlock items and skills from countless parallel worlds through the blind boxes you discover.

And it's not limited to the world of Hunter x Hunter. These boxes can contain things from other realms entirely. The names [Infinite] and [Surprise] are no exaggeration.

Of course, the ability to pull treasures from across time, space, and dimensions comes with one crucial rule:

Equivalent exchange.

There's also one rather frustrating limitation

"It's just… the blind boxes are kind of hard to find."

Silas couldn't help but go over the two activation conditions for his Nen ability again:

[1. Blind boxes generally appear near special people and special locations.]

[2. The more significant the person or place, the higher the blind box's grade, increasing the chances of getting high-quality items or skills.]

After first gaining the ability, Silas had studied those lines carefully and came to a very simple conclusion:

"Basically, the closer I am to the main characters and plot events of this world, the better the blind boxes I'll find."

And better blind boxes meant higher rarity and more powerful loot.

It all made sense.

"In other words, to make full use of this ability, I need to know the core storyline of this world."

Silas grinned.

"That's a huge advantage for me."

If anyone else had awakened this ability, they would've been completely lost.

They wouldn't have a clue who these "special" people or places were or even where to look.

They'd end up wandering the world like a headless fly, searching aimlessly and coming up empty-handed.

But for Silas, who knew the plot of Hunter x Hunter inside and out… this was no challenge at all!!

"I just need to immerse myself in the story, meet the iconic characters, and relive the classic scenes."

With that, Silas's thoughts became clear. He had a solid grasp of how to use his ability and how to plan his next moves.

At the same time, his gaze lingered on the phrase blind box in the ability's name.

Honestly, it was less like opening a blind box and more like unlocking a treasure chest…

This power reminded him of all the treasure chest novels he used to read back on Blue Star.

Just a moment ago, he had opened one of those chests no, blind boxes.

"This blind box came from that girl who just walked away without a care in the world."

Silas turned to look thoughtfully at the small house not far from where he stood, nestled in the quiet wilderness. It was simple, but clean.

It was there that he had obtained a plain white blind box.

[You have received a Regular Blind Box. Do you want to open it?]

[Successfully opened. Reward acquired: Basic training methods and applications for the Four Major Principles (Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu).]

Blind boxes are categorized into: Common, Intermediate, Advanced, and Special grades.

What Silas had just received was a Common blind box and from it, he obtained training methods and applications for the four foundational principles of Nen.

In this world, Nen is the essential source of power just as Haki is in One Piece, and chakra is in Naruto.

The life energy emitted by humans is called aura, and the ability to consciously control and refine that aura is known as Nen.

Nen is fueled by a person's life force essentially, the vital energy, or qi, flowing through the body.

Everyone has qi within them. But the amount and potential vary from person to person.

Those who manage to discover and wield this power through training are known as Nen users. Without any form of practice or initiation, it's almost impossible to awaken Nen naturally.

With this basic training method from the blind box, Silas had finally stepped onto the path he was now a barely-qualified Nen user.

"It's a shame she already left... If she'd stayed a little longer, maybe I could've gotten an Intermediate-grade blind box or even better."

Silas shook his head, feeling a tinge of regret.
